"Mommy, wake up!" Spoke an excited Joy as she attempted to wake up her mother.

"Hey darling, what's up?" She asked with a light yawn noticing her husband wasn't asleep on the bed.

"Can we go to the playground?" She asked and her mom chuckled.

"I take it you feel better," her mother spoke and the six year old nodded with a smile.

"Let me get dressed and I'll take you, did you ask Hope if she wanted to come?" Asked Leah and the little girl looked at her hands.

"Hope's with dad," she spoke and Leah sighed walking into her walk in bathroom, beginning to brush her teeth.

After a few moment Leah was dressed and checked her phone noticing the time was ten fifteen. Her daughter was dressed and dressed rather well, she knew how much Joy loved to pick out and wear her own outfits.

"Mom can we go now?" Asked the impatient six year old and leah only nodded at her with a little smile taking her hand in hers.

As they made there way downstairs they noticed Hope and Klaus sat on the dining table with a giant pile of beignets and apple turnovers on the table as they ate and laughed. Joy watched her dad her face falling as she noticed he was playing with Hope.

"Good morning my love, morning Joy," Klaus spoke, practically dismissing the two paying attention to a grinning Hope.

"Hope darling, your sister and I are going to the playground if you'd like to come," Leah spoke and Hope watched them and shrugged.

"Okay, I'll see you later aunty Leah," she spoke and Elijah made his way downs.

Leah watched Joy as she watched Hope and Klaus laugh whilst they ate their beignets almost crying. As Elijah saw a little Joy hold her mother hand squeezing it tight he watched confused as to why she wasn't also eating with her father.

"Sister, would you like if I came?" He spoke walking towards them and she looked at Joy who nodded shyly.

"Of course," she said with a grin and the three of them where out the compound and onto the streets of New Orleans.

"Mommy, can we eat first?" She asked tugging at her moms hand and her mom only grinned at her.

"What would you like?" Asked Elijah as he watched his niece a small dancing on his face.

"Can I have what hope was having with dad?" She spoke and Elijah watched as Leah nodded.

"Joy darling, why didn't you eat with your father and sister?" Elijah spoke asking the small six year old and she looked at him innocently.

"Dad said only Hope, they said it was daddy daughter day," spoke the six year old watching her uncle.

Elijah only looked at Leah who looked heartbroken at her daughter's response. Joy looked at her uncle her face waiting for them to answer if she could or couldn't get some beignets. As he watched her he smiled sadly and nodded. He couldn't help but feel torn for the small girl clutching her mother's hand.

"This was actually my favourite shop when I had you in my stomach," said Leah and her daughter watched her with horror on her face.

"You ate me?" The six year old spoke asking her mother earning a laugh from both Leah and Elijah.

"Oh Joy, let's get you something to eat," Leah spoke ordering her daughter a bag of beignets and a bottle of OJ.

After eating as much as she could, they made there way to the playground where Leah and Elijah sat on a bench watching Joy play.

"Elijah?" Spoke leah breaking him from his trance.

"Yes sister?"

"Niklaus is not attempting to get to know his daughter," she spoke with a sigh.

"I know sister, and I am terribly sorry I saw her this morning as you almost left, he all but dismissed her," he spoke his voice holding sadness.

"She'll grow to resent him and Elijah i do not want that," she said playing with her daylight ring on her finger.

"I know Sister, I shall speak to him," he said hating his brothers behaviour.

"Thank you Elijah," she slot with a smile that wouldn't reach her eyes.

After an hour Joy was tired and wanted to leave so the three made their way back to the compound. Upon entering Joy noticed Niklaus painting with Hope and she grew excited running towards them.

"Joy you ruined my painting!" Exclaimed Hope her eyes narrowing towards her sister.

"Tell your sister you're sorry," Klaus spoke not looking towards the six year old.

"Dad," spoke Joy wanting his attention and he grew annoyed.

"Tell your sister you're sorry!" He Spoke getting more and more frustrated at the little girl.

"Klaus it's only a painting, it's fine right Hope?" Spoke Hayley looking at her daughter.

"She ruined it!" Hope spoke watching her mother her voice angry.

"Hope Andrea Mikaelson, you will not speak to me like that!" Hayley spoke scolding her daughter.

"I hate you Joy you ruin everything, go away," Hope spoke annoyed at her sister.

"Hope!" Spoke Hayley shocked at how her daughter was treating her sister.

"Hayley she is a child, leave her," Klaus spoke and Hayley only scoffed.

"So is Joy," spoke Leah watching her husband annoyed at his behaviour.

Holding her daughters hand Leah walked up into her room. As she sat her daughter on the chair, she grabbed her some paper and some paint with a smile.

"I don't want to paint anymore," she spoke and leah watched her shocked.

"But you love painting," Spoke her mother confused by her sudden change of mood.

"I wanted to paint with dad and Hope," she spoke crossing her arms.

"Well you can paint with me," Leah said taking a paint brush and her daughter only looked disinterested.

Instead of painting with the paper her mother gave her she jumped off the chair and sat on the bed and played with the toy her father carved for Rebekah when they where just children.

"Mom, will you go now?" She spoke asking her mother to leave the room and she watched her confused.

"I can stay and we can play-"

"I don't want to play anymore," she spoke and Leah sighed.

"Do you need anything?" She asked and her daughter on shook her head, her legs crossed on the bed.

Leaving her daughter in her room she stood on the second floor balcony watching into the compound as Hope and Klaus painted their pictures, pure bliss remaining on their faces.

"Leah, could we talk?" Asked Freya and she nodded with a small smile. "I'm sorry about that day, I shouldn't have said what I said out was inappropriate and I should have said that."

"Freya it's not your fault, you where worried for your family, I understand."

"That's just it, you're my family too and yet I spoke terrible words to you," she spoke her head hung low in shame.

"Freya honestly it's okay I forgive you," she spoke and she smiled at her lightly.

"Where is Joy?" Freya asked noticing Joy wasn't with her father in the courtyard.

"She's in her room, she's upset at Niklaus, he doesn't seem to spend time with her," Leah spoke with a sad sigh.

"Why not?" Freya spoke furrowing her eyebrows in confusion.

"Honestly, I have no idea but all I know is that I keep telling a six year old her father too loves her, but she doesn't seem to believe me," said a distressed Leah with her hands in her hair. "Freya I can not bare to see my daughter so hurt."

"Leah I do not know why Niklaus is doing this but I assure you he will see his errors."

"I'm going to check on her," Leah spoke and Freya nodded understanding.

As she stood outside her door she noticed her little sons from the other side and her sniffles. Opening the door she sat on the bed as her daughter had her face buried into the pillows sobbing.

"Joy darling-"

"I don't like him mom, please take me home, i hate dad and I hate Hope, she's so mean," she said her sobs getting louder.

"Joy he is your father you can not hate him, especially when he loves you so very much."

"No mommy, dad doesn't love me, I wish he wasn't back!" Spoke the six year old frustration on her face.

"Joy he does love you, and darling you don't mean that surely," spoke her mother attempting to calm her.

"I want to have fun Mom, like Hope she's not my friend," said Joy sniffling wanting to play with her sister terribly.

"Joy, Hope is your friend She's your best friend remember?"

"No, I hate her!" she spoke wiping her eyes and crossing her arms.

"You can't hate your sister," said Leah watching her daughter upset.

"I can mom, I hate her and I hate dad I hate them loads," she spoke and leah only sighed.

"Darling he's your father and Hope is your sister," she spoke attempting to explain to her daughter but she only shook her head.

"Hope doesn't want to play with me anymore, And she was being mean to me, because of dad."

"Darling it's not-"

"Mom, can you leave me please?" She spoke and her mother sighed with a nod walking towards Niklaus who was laughing with Hope.

"Nik can I speak to you please?" She spoke asking her husband and he watched Hope who pleaded him to stay.

"We'll talk later," he spoke and she nodded.

As she walked back to her daughters room she noticed Elijah sat with her on the bed.

"I want to go home," Joy spoke as her mother listened from the door.

"Joy this is home, just for a little while and then we can go wherever you like," he spoke and the six year old sighed.

"I wish Dad didn't come back," she admitted to her uncle who watched her shocked.

"Joy he's your father," he spoke watching her and she shrugged.

"I don't care, he doesn't love me."

"I assure you he does, your father has wanted nothing more than to hold you in his arms," Elijah spoke comforting his youngest niece.

"Uncle Lijah he doesn't love me, he's so mean and Hope is," she spoke lightly sniffling and he watched the six year old with sad eyes.

"My sweet niece what do you say we go for a walk and get you some banana cream pie, I heard it was your favourite," He Hope and she nodded with a grin.

"Can we please?" She spoke and nodded with a small smile.

"You must ask your mother," he spoke and she nodded jumping of the bed.

Walking into the room leah noticed her daughter walking to the door, looking at her mother she smiled at her.

"Mommy can I go with uncle Lijah to get pie?" She spoke with a grin and Elijah watched her with a small smile.

"Yes of course you can," she spoke and an eager Joy put on her jacket taking her uncles hand with a smile on her little face.

Walking downstairs and out the compound Joy laughed as her uncle told her a funny story. Klaus only watched the pair his eyes narrowing to his brother.

"Joy here are you going?" Shouted a curious hope watching the uncle and niece duo.

Instead of answering her sister she walked out the compound with her uncle with a big smile. Klaus turned to his wife who watched the two with a small smile. As he watched his wife he grew jealous excusing himself from his daughter and kissed her head as he moved closer to his wife holding her arm and speeding into their room for some privacy as they entered he slammed the door and his wife watched him uninterested.

"Where is our daughter going if I recall she was sick mere moment ago!" Klaus asked almost shouting at her.

"She has gone with her uncle to get her favourite pie," she spoke and Niklaus grew enraged.

"She could have told me!"

"That's just it Niklaus, she has been trying over and over to get your attention but you will not give it to her!" She spoke her voice angry and her eyes sad.

"I AM HER FATHER-"

"I know that Niklaus! So does she, but you treat her like she is not-"

"That is not true-"

"What's her favourite pie Niklaus?" She spoke asking her husband and he looked confused.

"Apple," he spoke his words certain.

"It's banana cream pie, even Elijah knows, do you know how much your daughter wanted to spend time with you?" She spoke and he looked ashamed. "You swore to me you'd love both them little girls equally even they where little girls."

"I HAVE BEEN TRYING I'VE GOTTEN A WHOLE TABLE OF CUSINE FOR THEM, IVE PAINTED WITH THEM, EVERYTHING I'VE BEEN DOING IS FOR THEM!"

"NO NIK YOU HAVEN'T! I've been with our daughter holding her as she cried telling me you hated her, Elijah who is your brother, he's been spending the day with her, he was there for her when you had a table full of desserts for Hope, HE WAS THERE WHEN SHE ASKED US FOR THE SAME YOU GOT FOR HOPE!"

"IM TRYING!"

"YOU'RE NOT TRYING NIKLAUS, AND I WILL NOT SIT BY IDELLY WATCHING OUR DAUGHTER CRY FOR YOUR ATTENTION!"

As she screamed at her husband neither of them noticed how their daughter walked into the room holding a box in her arms.

"I CANT JUDGE TWO CHILDREN AT THE SAME TIME, I DONT KNOW HOW TO!"

"YOU SHOW THEM BOTH YOU LOVE THEM NIK, NOT ONLY ONE CHILD!"

"WHAT IF I CAN'T WHAT IF I DONT WANT TWO DAUGHTERS!"

"WELL TOUGH LUCK NIKLAUS YOU DIDN'T WANT TWO CHILDREN BUT YOU HAVE TWO CHILDREN!"

"I DO NOT WANT TWO CHILDREN, I WAS FINE WITH HOPE!" He shouted and instantly regretted it once he noticed his wife's face.

"What?" She spoke her voice quiet.

She noticed her daughter by the sound of the squeaky floor board from under her, and so did Niklaus his eyes wide as he noticed his daughter watching him her eyes watery.

"I got you apple pie!" The little girl spoke crying handing her dad a small box tears falling from her face.

"Joy wait!" Spoke her mother calling towards her daughter listening to her sobs.

Following fast behind her daughter she sat on the bed where she sobbed.

"I TOLD YOU HE HATED ME!" spoke the sad six year old in between sobs.

"He does not hate you baby," said her mother picking her up.

"Mommy please, please take me home," she spoke crying harder and harder.

"Baby you're-"

"What happened?" Asked a worried Elijah walking into the room Hayley behind him going to a crying Joy.

"He said he didn't want her, and she heard him" Leah spoke watching the floor.

"He what?" He spoke asking his sister confused.

"He told me he was fine with only Hope, and didn't want two children," she spoke her voice getting a growing angrier and angrier.

"Sister-"

"Elijah I am taking my daughter, and I am leaving," she said watching Hayley hold a crying Joy who held her aunt.

"Leah I don't think-"

"Elijah I don't care! No one will ever, ever treat my daughter like that, especially not her father!"

"Sister-"

"Joy pack your bag, we're leaving," her mother spoke and she sobbed in aunts arms.

Leaving the room she went back to her own and noticed her husband sat on the bed with the box in his hands. Upon noticing his wife he stood up and cleared his throat.

"Can we talk?" He spoke his voice calm as he watched her eyes watery and she shoved her things into her bag as he walked to her.

"Leah please just listen-"

"LISTEN TO WHAT! SHES OUR BABY, she's our daughter Niklaus, and you didn't want her how could you say that?" Leah spoke packing the rest of her bag her tears falling from her face.

"I didn't mean it!"

"She brought you your favourite, and yet you do not love her, I wish she want your child I wish, Niklaus I wish you where a better father to our daughter," she spoke her sobs light as she zipped her bag.

"I, Leah"

Instead of looking back at him she walked out towards her daughters room. Freya Attis at the door in front of her.

"Sister, you will need my help controlling her magic," she spoke holding she sold stay.

"I'll figure it out, but my daughter is not staying here," she spoke and picked up her daughter as she left the compound.
