"And why do I have to be here?" Spoke an annoyed Leah who was at the table with Elijah who sighed and Niklaus who was still annoyed at her since she spent the night with Lucien a week ago.

Lucien walked in and grinned at Leah who smiled back at him. Tristan behind him walking towards them.

"Ah flowers for me, you shouldn't have," spoke Lucien with a smirk looking at Tristan who walked in with a bouquets of roses.

"These are for the lady of the house, the well mannered bring a gift when invited to dinner. I assume you brought nothing," spoke Tristan watching Lucien.

"Nothing but my dearest respect for you," he spoke watching him back with a light eye roll.

"Lovely, we're all getting along," Spoke Niklaus glaring at the flowers in Tristans hands.

"Your favourite my lady," he spoke handing Leah the roses who grinned seeing her favourite flowers.

"Enough flirting with my wife, the both of you, I will not hesitate to rip your tongues from your mouth," spoke Niklaus who looked annoyed at both Lucien and Tristan. "I take it Aurora is on her way."

"Hello Nik," she spoke walking in and Niklaus only grinned at her. "Well, Lucien, long time."

"Hello Aurora it's been a while, you look.." started Lucien only to roll his eyes at her.

"You look ravishing sweetheart," spoke Klaus watching Aurora, not noticing his wife watch her lap.

"Leah my darling, you look spectacularly beautiful," Lucien spoke taking her hand and kissing it, causing her to look up with a small chuckle and head shake , her husband only glared at him.

"Welcome to our home. I do wish it was under better circumstances. We all face a common threat... A prophecy warning that my siblings and I would all fall within a year," spoke Elijah getting straight to the point diverting Niklaus' attention.

"Only as a precautionary measure, I assure you," Tristan said speaking to Elijah.

"Interesting, You see, I would have called it an entirely unnecessary measure. We need to unite to prevent the prophecy from coming to pass, and since any alliance is impossible without honesty, let us begin this evening's proceedings by formally acknowledging your clandestine alliance," said Elijah watching Tristan carefully.

"Now, gentlemen, before-" Lucien spoke interrupting them.

"Shh, shh, shh, shh, shh. Lucien, please. Let's not ruin the dinner before it begins," Elijah said shutting up Lucien and Leah chuckled sipping her wine.

"And do try to bear in mind, we expect an honest and productive negotiation this evening," Klaus spoke placing down his glass.

"Says the honest one," mumbled Leah sarcastically but Niklaus heard her and only looked at his glass.

"Shall we begin?" Elijah spoke clearing his throat.

"It's a bit odd, isn't it, celebrating an American holiday?" Spoke Lucien asking Elijah.

"Well, Lucien, I rather enjoy Thanksgiving, the turkey, the cranberry sauce, the lies, the deceit, the betrayal, perhaps we should begin this evening's proceedings with a little confession, and do help yourselves," spoke Leah watching her husband the whole time.

"So this entire dinner is meant to be some boorish inquisition how rude, isn't she rather rude Niklaus?" Spoke Aurora watching Leah and Niklaus.

"Nonsense, darling she is rather lovely when she wants to be, my wife merely wishes to make certain we're all on the same page, isn't that right my love?" He spoke watching his wife with a smile and she rolled her eyes.

"Well, Lucien and I have always loathed each other, I'd say it was because we always wanted the same woman," he said as he watched Leah with a longing look, Niklaus only glared at him almost standing on his feet to kill him but Aurora put her hand on Niklaus as Tristan continued. "had we arrived as allies with news of a bleak future, you would have doubted us, we sought to remove suspicion by maintaining appearances."

"Oh god, these pathetic lies promise to be as difficult to swallow as your stuffing this year, My love honestly walnuts?" Leah spoke asking her husband with a smirk and he laughed noticing how she called her his love to annoy Aurora.

"The bottom line is, we came to protect you and ourselves. We have never wavered on this point," Lucien spoke clearing his throat awkwardly.

"And the bodies on my streets, is that your protection, as well?" Asked Niklaus annoyed at the large amount of deaths.

"It's business as usual for The Strix," spoke Lucien with an eye roll.

"It is an old tactic used often and to great success Jack the Ripper, Son of Sam. A frightened human populace is that much easier to control, If tourism should decline and the local vampires are deprived of fresh blood, well, you saw how quickly Marcel joined our ranks," spoke Tristan and as he mentioned marvels name leah snapped her head at him in annoyance.

"The Pedestrian. I would've expected more from such gaudy theatrics," Niklaus spoke trying to get on his nerves.

"Well, Tristan was always known for his theatrical performance, weren't you?" Leah spoke watching him carefully.

"Ok ok, I admit, it was I who stole the thing needed," Spoke Lucien poking his turkey and eating it.

"I take it you're talking about the medallion?" Spoke Leah her hand under her chin watching him.

"I suppose it was my sister who shared that bit of information," Spoke Tristan glaring at Aurora.

"Don't blame Aurora, you two are hardly conspiratorial geniuses," spoke Klaus defending Aurora who only grinned at him.

"Look at you, her knight in shinning armour coming to her rescue," Leah spoke with an annoyed tone downing her wine and pouring some more.

"Nik my love I think your wife is an alcoholic," she spoke glaring at Leah.

"Darling, alcoholic or not it could never harm me, neither could a stake in the heart, but I'm shocked you do remember he has a wife, so you knew sleeping with him wouldn't get you no where?" She spoke watching Aurora with a sarcastic look on her face.

"Okay, thats enough my love," spoke Niklaus to his wife.

"Oh darling I've just started," spoke Aurora assuming Niklaus was speaking to her. "Oh sweet Leah, I bet you didn't even know, your darling lover Niklaus was planning on leaving you just before Mikael arrived."

"Honestly Aurora, you're crazier by the day, lies do not suit you sweet little Aurora," spoke Leah annoyed at Auroras bullshit.

"Nik darling tell her I'm lying," Aurora spoke looking at Niklaus who looked down, Elijah only watched him in shock. "I'm sure Niklaus' silence just proves the truth."

"Nik?" Spoke Leah watched her husband her face dropping.

"My love I can explain," he said moving his arm towards his wife.

"Fuck you Nik, you chose the raging bitch, now stay with the raging bitch!" She spoke slamming her chair in and walking to the door.

"All that anger and I'm the raging bitch?" Aurora spoke laughing, Leah only turned to her with a grin.

"Yes, yes you are," Leah spoke grabbing the wooden chair and snapping the leg and throwing it into Auroras stomach.

"Next ones in your heart, bitch," and with that she walked out the compound with a satisfied smile.

Leah got home and sighed walking through the door. Picking up the bottle of scotch she downed as much as she could. Sighing throwing the lid onto the floor and drinking the bottle. Being around for a thousand years does and doesn't have its perks with alcohol. The perk being she has been around long enough to taste different alcohols through out the years. However the problem was is that she couldn't get properly drunk unless she consumed a large amount.

"I heard the little dinner party was a complete mess," spoke an amused Kol walking in behind a laughing Rebekah holding a sleepy baby.

"Turns out your brother in 1002 southern France, wanted to leave my for lady sweetness herself, Aurora De Martel, best thanks giving if you ask me," she spoke sarcastically with an eye roll.

"He was going to what?" Asked Rebekah confused placing a sleep Joy in her crib.

"Yup, he was going to leave me, for her is he mad has he seen me I'm pretty, funny and did I forget to say I am awesome," she spoke pointing at herself and her two best friends laughed at her.

"That my darling you are," said Kol with a smile.

"You're more than that love," Rebekah spoke holding the baby monitor.

"I think we should have a sleep over like a girls night with Kol," Rebekah said and Leah nodding eagerly.

"I have blood bags, and a ton of food in the fridge, leah spoke but Kol was already in the fridge eating almost everything he saw, and carried it back to the three of them.

"God Leah I really love you, your fridge is always so full," kol spoke with a grin placing everything in his arms onto the table.

For the first few hours they messed around and watched a few movies. Then out of nowhere her phone rang. The screen flashed and 'Niklaus' popped up on the screen and she sighed.

"Answer it and put it on speaker phone!" Exclaimed Rebekah Leah gave her a pleading look so she rolled her eyes and answered it herself.

"And what do you want Nik?" Spoke an annoyed Rebekah.

"Where is my wife?" His annoyed voice spoke coming from the phone.

"Oh so now you want your wife Nik, because you did want to leave her for the skank Aurora!"

"Rebekah I want to speak to my wife!"

"Nik if I remember correctly you did beg father and mother to marry her, and then Niklaus you didn't even want to keep her, so beg for her, and I might let you talk to her," Rebekah spoke and Kol laughed in the background.

"Rebekah, Kol if you do not put my wife on the phone I will dagger you and box you up for the rest of your life."

"Oh but you see brother, Leah has the white oak ash and the daggers are rendered useless without them," spoke a merry Kol.

"Rebekah, Kol, my wife, NOW!" He spoke shouting in the end.

"She doesn't want to speak to you-" started a Kol who's mouth was full chips, leah only rolled her eyes and took the phone from their hands.

"What is it Nik, what on earth could you say to me now?" She spoke with a scoff.

"Look I know it sounds terrible-"

"No, not really Nik I shouldn't be surprised should I?"

"I know, I know it sounds really really bad but I swear I can explain," he spoke panicked and she got up to sit in her room.

"Explain what Nik? You wanted to leave me, yet the second, THE SECOND I WANTED YOU TO LEAVE ME YOU WONT!"

"My love-"

"Nik enough, I'm asking you to leave me like you wanted to this whole time, I'm only sorry I wasn't enough," she spoke with a light sob.

"My love-"

"Nik, you have to you have to let me go," she spoke her voice broken.

"I love you, I was you and rather stupid then."

"And I love you too, with my whole heart but you have to leave me because whatever we are is not husband and wife, and I've tried to forgive you time and time again, but I can't forget, I can't force myself to try and love you after what you've done, this was the finishing line for me Niklaus this is it," she spoke sobs escaping her mouth ever so often.

"No, no no no I refuse to let you leave me you're not leaving me not again, the last time you left it was agony and I will not, no I can not let you leave again," he spoke, you could hear the hurt in his voice and she hated him in, she always had.

"Fine Niklaus, just give me some time to think and send Freya or Elijah when you want anything to do with our daughter," with that she cut off the phone sat on the bed breathing in and out pacing her breath not wanting to cry.
