Leah awoke in the morning entering the compound and noticed Kol and Rebekah sitting there on the compound.
"Voltre mezino cadau. Voltre mezino cadau," Kol spoke and Rebekah repeated chanting after him.
Suddenly, Kol's ears and his nose started to bleed again. He angrily lets go of Rebekah's hands and swipes many of the objects off of the table and onto the floor as he yelled in frustration. Leah watching him scared knowing full well the hex was working perfectly. Rebekah looked at him sympathetically and reaches out to rub his arm and Kol just got even more frustrated.
"NO!"
"Calm down, Please Kol You need to keep your wits if you're to beat this," Spoke leah walking to him rubbing his arm gently.
Kol sat at on the bench by the table, looking exhausted and defeated Leah only looked at him sitting beside him.
"There is no beating it, it's latched on like a vice," Kol said looking sad and broken.
"So you're giving up? What happened to the brother I used to know? The one who laughed death in the face?" Rebekah spoke fighting with his brother.
"It's a lot easier to do when you haven't died already once. And I hated it the first time. The ironic thing is that I actually preferred this go-round. Being a witch. No heightened emotion, no bloodlust. It was just me. For a while, anyway," Kol spoke with a bitter laugh, Rebekah and leah only looked at him speechless.
Kol only started coughing violently leah nearly sobbed as he struggled to sit upright.
"I think we should call Davina," leah spoke telling Kol and he nodded.
"I do owe that fine young lady a dance, and I rather have it before I die," he spoke Slight smirk on his face.
That day Kol spent with Davina and of course his beautiful nieces. Yet he only got worse and worse. Once he arrived back into the compound he started coughing violently once again. Out of nowhere he doubled over and leah grabbed him helping him regain his balance.
"Are you okay?" Leah asked and he nodded.
"I think I want to do this part alone."
He only continued to cough violently and she shook her head, everyone entering the compound.
"I'm afraid that is not an option brother," Elijah spoke walking towards his brother.
"Always and forever" is not something that you just weasel out of, brother," Klaus spoke pain evident in his tone.
Kol only let out a weak smile to Klaus and he returned it kindly. As klaus almost walked away Kol grabbed his coat.
"All I ever wanted was for you lot to care about me, not only Leah and Beks, sometimes of course."
Klaus only remained with his blank face but his wife just let them flow she hadn't cared of anyone saw she couldn't help it, he was her best friend. Kol almost laughed but was overcome but yet another one of his coughing fits. Rebekah was startled and bent to the floor and began to rub his back with Elijah. Leah sat with him leaning his head into her lap. Kol grabbed onto Leah's hand and squeezed it before groaning.

"Kol, listen to me. You don't have long. You're going to die But you will die a witch, and we will consecrate your body. You will join the ancestors of the French Quarter, and those spirits can be brought back. And, I promise you, brother, I will not leave this body until I find a way to bring you home," Rebekah spoke and Kol couldn't hold back his tears as they fell down his face.
Kol smiled at Leah but quickly began to cough once again. Davina hadn't stopped doing spells over and over again.
"I tried another spell!" Davina spoke frantically, tears falling from her face.
"It's okay, I'm not scared," Kol said taking his hand out and squeezing Davina's who placed her hand in his.
Davina tried her best to smile at him through her tears, and Kol managed one last laugh before his eyes close in Leah's arms. Leah broke down in sobs, as did Davina and Rebekah. Elijah even began crying freely over Kol's body. Klaus attempted to move his body from his wife's arms and she only held him tighter and sobbed squeezing him towards her, making Rebekah cry even more.
"Kol, messing around now isn't very helpful, Get up please please get up," Leah said pulling in Kol to feel his heartbeat.
"Sister, he's gone," Elijah spoke watching her with pain in his eyes.
"Please don't leave me ," she screamed crying once again. "Please," she spoke her voice breaking As she cried harder.
"Sister, you must give him to Niklaus and Rebekah, we will get him back," Elijah spoke grabbing leah from and moving her towards him.
"Lijah I can't lose him, we lose everyone, even each other most of the time," She wailed and Elijah held her in his arms and Klaus moved his body with The help of Rebekah.
"Sister, we'll get him back, just watch," he spoke stroking his back.
Elijah took Leah to the nursery and they watched her daughter sleep.
"Do you see her, she needs you to be strong that little girl there loves you more than anyone in this whole world."
"Lijah please don't leave me, because I know Niklaus won't stay much longer, he never did, don't leave me to please Elijah," she said sobbing into his chest and he shook his head.
"I won't sister I give you my word," he spoke and she nodded.
Leah was the first to move away from their hug and Klaus was stood behind them jealousy in his eyes. Elijah had felt his brothers presence and knew it would anger him if he stayed in the nursery longer.
"My love, do you really think I'll leave you?" Klaus spoke his voice breaking and she only stayed quiet knowing it would happen eventually.
"Leah, we love and we fight, we've accused each other of terrible things but I can't imagine a world without you, I'm made up of millions of demons from the pits of hell but without you I'd be so lost, if you weren't here for me, I'll make it right I swear I'll love you my whole life human and hybrid life," he spoke taking her hand in his.

"Nik, I know you're still seeing Camille."
"My love-"
"Just please, please get our brother back," she spoke with silent tears falling from her eyes.
"I will my love I will," he spoke pulling her into his chest.
He hated her in pain, his heart ached every times she cried and he was always the person who made her cry most. Joy began to cry and the pair knew it was time to change and feed her. His wife went to their daughter and he shook his head.
"I got her, you need to rest," he spoke holding his daughter.
She only nodded and walked out to her and her husbands bedroom and sat at the bed, waiting for Niklaus to enter. As her husband entered their bedroom she had already been half asleep. She felt the bed dip and Nik lay next to her.
"Do you remember how Kol would always walk in on us at the worst times when we had just married, like he knew what we would be doing?" Klaus asked as his wife lay facing him as he faced the ceiling.
"Yes I do, he hated when you would ignored him, he did everything to sought out your approval at first," she spoke as her husband who now faced her.
"Do you remember days before we where to wed and him and I where sword fighting in the middle of our village?" Her husband asked her and she nodded remembering it like it was yesterday.
"He was fighting me for you, spoke foolish words saying I hadn't deserved you as I would break your heart as I did with Tatia," he said ashamed.
"Niklaus I do not hold what happened with Tatia to be your fault, you hadn't loved me then," she spoke and he looked at her beautiful face.
"That is where you are wrong, I fell in love with you the moment I saw you, the moment you where dancing around the fire and Rebekah had put beautiful flowers in your hair," he spoke moving her hair out of his face.
"I remember that night, that was the night Rebekah introduced me to you, Finn and Henrik, Kol, Elijah and Rebekah I had already been friends with," she said with a small smile on her face.
"Kol had been so jealous after you showed an interest in me, do you remember he was enraged at how I wouldn't tell you how beautiful you looked."
"I remember, I do not remember what it was but you caught my eye from the moment I met you, but I think I had fallen for you when you had messed around with Elijah as your foolish swore fight to impress Tatia," she said grinned reminiscing at her memories.
"That day father had almost killed me saying fighting mustn't be fun, that it was a means to survival not a silly game."
"I was so scared, I even attempted to rush to your side but Rebekah said it was a foolish mistake, and Mikeal would see it as weakness."
"That night Kol spoke saying I was foolish to deny the girl who really loved me, yet I had done everything to gain Tatia's love who loved clearly Elijah, even as she chose me, she was a spectacular liar, " he spoke with a headshake. "If I had known you loved me, I would have done so much more to be with you."
"Mother loved how both Kol and Elijah tended to you as anything but a sister, she saw right through them, she said she couldn't wait until you where her daughter."
"At first mother was so sure it would be Elijah who would marry you and not I yet there was one night, mere hours before the first bonfire where you and I danced I had grinned walking to mother and she was only smiling back at me knowingly, and she spoke saying 'Niklaus, you're love for Leah is so pure my child, I do hope you do right by her' and in that moment I had loved you more than anything," he spoke kissing her head and intertwining there hands and she smiled lightly.
"That bonfire I wished for us to become closer," she said and he smirked at her.
"I had wished that you'd love me as I loved you in that moment," he said watching her intently.
"Kol told me I was being stupid, and that you where too in love with Tatia and it would break my heart," Leah spoke a hint of sadness entering her voice reminiscing about the times where Kol would always straighten her out.
"As did Finn with I saying Kol deserved you, as he where always happy around you."
"I'd always been happy around Kol, Rebekah and Elijah when we where younger, they where my best friends, as much as everyone hated how I would love to use knifes when Kol was around, we'd carve walls without names," she spoke with a little giggle.
"Kol had gotten you into much trouble when we where younger as mother would scold him about," he spoke with a light laugh.
"Kol was a good man, I hope he is happy," Leah spoke a faint smile on her face.
"When he wanted to be yes, otherwise he was the devils best friend, and I too hope he is happy," Spoke a sad Klaus his eyes getting wetter as the moment passed.
"I got him a stone at the cemetery, for you to visit and feel better, I know how much he, Rebekah and Elijah mean to you."
"And you do Nik, you mean more to be then anyone I've met," he only looked happy hearing this and kissed her on the head before she lay her head on his chest and falling asleep.

Just a Rock
There was once a writer that felt like creating a story about a rock. A rock so amazing that its story just needed to be told. How amazing? Not amazing at all, on the contrary, quite ordinary. Don't believe me? Then read on. Edit: Resumed the story. Can’t do any more audio versions for now. I plan on editing some of the now non-applicable author notes and maybe rearranging the two side stories or combining them with the deleted chapters.

Phantom Storm
"Have you heard, the entire Bonanno crew was brutally murdered!" Exclaimed a youth in his early teens. "What? you're lying, again!" Another similarly aged child responded with crisp denial in his tone. After all, the crew was infamous for their ruthlessness. An eery silence passed between them. Soon enough, the teens' curiosity trumped his ego, and he found himself inquiring in a meek voice. "So...Who did it?" "I heard my father talking about it while he was drunk. Guess what he said?..." The child responded, he was a natural-born storyteller. Listening intently, the other teen urged him on. "It was done by a single person. When the police arrived, the bodies were charred black, likely the work of an electro mage. Most had an arrow or two lodged in their body, and a few were even chopped into neat little slices by a sharp blade." He paused, inhaling sharply. "All the victims had shocked expressions on their faces. As if the enemy was invisible or something. That's why they call that person the Phantom Storm!" concluded the adolescent with an excited glint in his eyes. 2 CHAPTERS PER WEEK (Canada time) [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] -------------------------------------------- Follow Itsuki as he is reincarnated in an unfamiliar world, left to discover where he belongs in such a place. Our character will improve, learn, become better than yesterday, and strive for more power. All the while working his way up the food chain in this brutal and unforgiving new world. *Disclaimer:* - The protagonist starts weak and a little naive, but I guarantee he will become quite capable over time. There will be no sudden power gains. The protagonist will have to work hard for what he gets. - This story is not about a loner, he'll have a few companions, and they will not be useless. - Some romance will be explored but not take away from the story. The main character will not be dense. Absolutely no harem will happen, but there might be a few love interests, no more than 3. - I will try my best to not follow cliches and stay as original as possible. - This story is my first ever, whether online or in real life. Thus, I might have grammatical errors here and there. The story might have a few plot holes and other such minute mistakes, as well. But I guarantee to try my best. Please give me feedback so that I can deliver a better story and learn to write better.

BODY&SHADOW
AN ILLUSTRATED NOVEL • UPDATES TUESDAY AND FRIDAY In a time before living memory, the King Dragon of the Void watched the world and realized there was a crack. He realized that humanity was destroying the rock upon which they lived; they leaked life’s code into the churning chaos. At first the change was imperceptible: nanites overtook microorganisms, bacteria, viruses, amoebas. Insects became increasingly inorganic; birds and lizards followed soon after. Even humans were infected by their own advances, cell by cell, till there was not a person left on earth who wasn’t at least part synthetic, the product of a prior generation’s carelessness. The world’s population was ravaged by mechanical viruses with no vaccines; they were mercilessly overtaken by bacteria that knew no death. Soon, most of the planet was empty and only a handful remained who remembered the hedonist realm they came from; only a few were left who remembered what the world looked like when their buildings touched the sky. The King Dragon of the Void watched the rock turn. He watched humans cower as the Old World fell down around them; watched their great monuments crumble into dusty ruins; watched their codes become precious, ancient gem memories forged under the crushing pressure of so many fallen stones. The world has spun many times around the sun since chaos swallowed man whole. It is a simpler time than the one that died out, but the people now are not immune to the folly of the people before. There is old code everywhere: in the water, in the air, in the trees. The heart of man has been replaced by power cores, many of which are hard-coded with preternatural abilities—when they die, an esoteric mountain sect collects their cores and stores them in their hollow mountain home to preserve the sanctity and dignity of human death. They’ve learned to harness artifacts of the old world, gemstones full of codes their nanite infused bodies can parse as spells imbuing their users with great power; they inlay them into their bodies, into their skins, connected to their cores by copper conduit and gold tracers; they dress themselves in tattoos to advertise their prowess; they battle for relics in arenas, fight for them in the open world wherever they are found. The King Dragon of the Void watches the rock turn and wonders: when will this hunger finally make the rock stop spinning? WELCOME TO FANXING CITY … Twenty-five years ago, Fanxing City and the surrounding lands were commanded by the mad King Zao Beiguan. For many years, the King hoarded wealth, artifacts, food; he demanded tribute from a people already taxed to the edges of their existence and expected they be happy with their circumstances. Noncompliance was often punished harshly, bodies displayed proudly on Fanxing’s streets as a warning, from the city gates to the Zao palace’s golden doors. The youths of several prominent clans came together to overthrow the tyrant and made names for themselves as legendary heroes across the land: Tian, Ren, Feng, Gui, Ma, and Zhenxi. Even wanderers from the Luanshi sect descended from Yunji mountain to aid the rebellion. When the dust settled after three years, Tian Yunyong ascended the throne of Fanxing and swore to honour his slain father’s memory, and has maintained Fanxing’s peace with generosity and mercy where fear and cruelty once reigned.
