That morning Leah awoke to the sound of her daughter crying. Rolling over to check the time she noticed Nik wasn't there once again. Sighing frustrated she picked up her baby and sat with her in the chair. As if on time Rebekah walked in with a bottle in her hand.
"I thought you might need this," she grinned handing Leah the bottle and sitting on the bed.
Leah only smiled gratefully feeding her daughter as she slept again. She couldn't help it as she watched her daughter in awe. She noticed how she had klaus' eye, mouth and hair colour yet she looked a lot like her too.
"She's beautiful isn't she?" Rebekah said watching her best friend admire her daughter.
"She's so precious, so tiny," she spoke and Rebekah smiled watching the both of them.
"What's her name?" Rebekah asked holding her beautiful niece.
"Joy, her name is Joy," Leah spoke smiling.
She remembered when they where human and Kol had suggested the name and she immediately fell in love with it. Rebekah must have also remembered as she grinned.
"A beautiful name for a beautiful girl," she spoke softly.
They had sat admiring her for hours. Hayley had also came by with Hope and grinned as she saw the beautiful little girl. Rebekah hadn't left Leah's side in hours and Hayley had also sat with them.
"Do You know where Nik is?" She asked speaking wondering where her husband disappeared off to again.
"Yeah he's at a bar by the bayou... with Cami," Hayley spoke carefully.
"Who?" Leah Asked confused.
"The Rousseau's bar tender," Rebekah spat and leah only looked at her confused.
"Well I'm going to look for him, Rebekah could you please watch Joy?" She asked Rebekah only nodded eagerly.
On the way towards the Bar Leah has felt as if something was off. As if she knew something bad was happening. She had pulled onto the bar and noticed how no one else was there since she only heard 2 heartbeats.
She watched the two from outside and saw cami puts her hand on his shoulder, and he puts his hand on her waist as the two begin to dance. They stare at each other as their cheeks touched. Leah felt the jealousy inside her rise and the anger. She was soo angry at her husband right now, she had just given birth to his daughter and he was off dancing with some whore she thought. After all his promises to never leave her and the second he had the chance he was off with yet another woman. She walked into the bar and watched how her hands face was soo close to the bartenders as if he was about to kiss her. Her face was getting closer to hers and as if her felt her presence his head snapped to his wife's and noticed how pissed she looked.

Awkwardly clearing his throat he Moved away from cami and towards his wife who walked out the bar, upset and angry.
"Leah it wasn't what it looked like," he spoke walking to her she only slapped him.
"Well it looked like you where bloody going to kiss the bartender!"
"Cami," he corrected only to earn a slap his wife.
"Fuck you Nik, I was at home with OUR daughter whilst you where busy messing around with her."
"Leah I swear-"
"I should have known all your promises yesterday where bullshit, I shouldn't have come!"
"Leah wait please let me explain," he spoke and she only turned her back and spoke.
"I'm going to my daughter, go to hell Nik."
With that she was off to the compound and she couldn't help but feel the sadness hit her. She kept letting him hurt her and she hated it. As she walked into the compound Elijah was sat holding Joy and Hayley was holding Hope grinning at him.
"Sister how are you this evening?" He asked watching Leah walk into the compound as she watched the floor.
"Did you know Nik's been spending almost all of his time with Camille?" She asked looking at him and her eyes red.
"The bartender from Rousseau's?" He asked and she nodded.
"Sister she's only his stenographer."
"No, she is not Elijah." She spoke speeding towards the bedroom with her daughter.
Rebekah had noticed Leah was back and told her she was going to get a snack with a laugh. Leah noticed her daughter awake As she held her.
"Oh my sweet daughter, I promise I shall love you forever and always," she whispered kissing her head.
Nik had walked into the compound and earned a few deserving disapproving looks from both Hayley and Elijah. Rolling his eyes he walked off ignoring the both of them. Walking towards the bedroom he noticed his wife kiss his daughter and he felt terribly guilty. He walked over to where she was stood and attempted to put his arms around her which she shook off.
"Don't you dare touch me!"
"My love I-"
"Nik, go to hell," she spat venom laced in her words.
"Sweetheart I can-"
This time it hadn't even leah who cut him off it was his daughter who cried. Leah swayed her side to side yet she still hadn't stopped. Nik offered his hand out to her and leah only ignored him. As leah attempted to shush her she still cried, her cries getting louder and louder. Klaus only sighed once again asking to hold her, giving in she handed her daughter to him and she almost immediately went quiet.

"She's going to be a daddy's girl," He laughed turning to talk to his wife.
However as soon as he turned he noticed she had disappeared. He knew he was at fault yet he couldn't help but think about how she looked when she saw him with Camille. Camille was pure, she was broken yet she smiled, she laughed at his stupid jokes and she listened to him wherever she could. He felt as if she was betraying his wife but he couldn't help it he wanted to get to know Camille more she was all he could think about.
Leah walked into the basement and noticed the giant fridge with the blood bags in and sat drinking as almost half of them. As she was on another Hayley walked in to find her.
"Leah are you okay?" She asked and leah shook her head Get tears Almost instantly falling Hayley was at her side in seconds.
"What face I ever done wrong to have Niklaus treat me so badly?" She asked Hayley and she only pulled her into a hug.
"Nothing Leah he's just douche."
"You must think I'm weak," she spoke and Hayley only shook her head.
"You are one of the strongest people I have ever met, the kindest and honestly I'm so grateful to have met you even though I had a child with your husband you've been so nice to me," she spoke ashamed off herself.
"Hayley you hadn't known, it wasn't your fault, it was his."
Hayley only nodded even though she didn't felt better with herself. She never messed around with a married man and she never intended to. Leah being so kind to her only made Her felt worse.
"Leah you should stop, let's get you upstairs," Hayley spoke noticing gies many blood bags she drank.
Leah only nodded walked upstairs and Hayley followed behind. Hayley had left leah alone in the compound as she heard Hope cry. Walking out of the compound she went to visit her son. That night she had spent with Marcellus talking and laughing He head told her about a woman he had started to like and leah only grinned.
"Who is this girl that has my son infatuated ?"
"Her name is Cami," he spoke and his mother's expression changed.
First her husband had wanted Camille and now her son. She only sighed and nodded at him changing the conversation. She hasn't wanted to talk about that woman no longer.
Leah made her way home as the sun head began to come out. As she walked into the compound she noticed Rebekah talking with Elijah.
"There you are sister I was worried," Rebekah said
wrapping her arms around me.
"I was with Marcel-" she was cut of by Klaus shouting.
"YOY WHERE WITH MARCEL WHEN OUR DAUGHTER NEEDS YOU!"
"DONT YOU DARE SHOUT AT ME YOU WHERE TOO BUSY TO SPEND TIME WITH YOUR DAUGHTERS BECAUSE YOU EVER WITH YOUR BARTENDER THR WHORE!"
"HER NAME IS CAMILLE!" He shouted his face close to hers anger in all his words.
"I don't care," she spat walking past her husband towards her daughter who was asleep in the crib.
"I'm sorry baby, I want to see your brother," she spoke kissing her head and picking her up.
Walking to the spare room she lay her daughter onto the bed and lay next to her. She watched as she slept, she really did look like her dad, she was almost his doppelgänger it was astonishing. A knock came interrupting her and she saw Klaus.
"Why aren't you in our room?" He asked his voice soft as he watched his wife watch his daughter.
Instead of answering him she ignored him and his presence hoping he would go away. However he did not leave, he sat on the end of the bed and watched her.
"Please come to our room, i don't like sleeping without you."
Again she ignored his presence and closed her eyes and she heard him sigh. Yet he hadn't left the room instead he kicked of his shoes and lay on the end of the bed watching the ceiling.

Virtuous Sons
The saying goes that when a man is born the Fates weave his destiny and swaddle him in it. Then one day the man dies, and the swaddle becomes a shroud. Heaven moves on. It is audacity to question the Fates. Olympus is Olympus. The land of men is the land of men. To transgress that, to cross the line of divinity and scale Olympus Mons? To defy the Fates and cast off their threads? That is hubris. It’s a mark that every philosopher bears plainly on their soul. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

A World Forgotten
***This story will contain lite-litrpg elements, mainly character pages and a town page. There will also be settlement building and adventuring, missteps and achievements. But one thing it definitely won’t have is a harem. Nor will it have an overpowered MC. Contains mild cursing.*** ***feel free to critique my writing and offer input. This is my first venture into writing. I've always enjoyed litrpg/gamelit books. I feel like I write how I talk, so it may be a little different. You won't hurt my feelings if you see something wrong or out of place! *** ***What follows is a condensed part of chapter 1. Enjoy!*** Drew Cooper is thrust into a new, unfamiliar world. Waking up in his sweats and t-shirt near what seems to be a forgotten path through some woods, he struggles coming to terms that he's no longer in his apartment. As he tries to cope with his new reality, he hears a horse coming down the path. He hides behind a nearby tree dreading what may happen next. As the horse approaches, he sees a man walking next to it. The horse is burdened with packs and gear. When the man nears, Drew nearly panics. He has a large sword strapped to his waist, obviously a fighter. He continues to hide as the man slowly passes only for the man to stop a dozen meters past his hiding spot. "You may as well come out, ya know. You weren't as well hidden as you thought," the man stated matter-of-factly, letting the horse’s reins go and putting his hand on the hilt of his sword. Slowly and scared for his life, Drew raised up and walked from behind the tree. "I-I'm sorry. I wasn't planning on attacking you. I-I don't know where I am. I heard your horse and hid. I didn't know what you'd do if you saw me. I'm sorry," he nervously blurted out. A minute passed. Then two. The man seemed interested with Drew and stepped closer, eyes squinting as if trying to see something. "What's that on your shirt? Is that. What is that? Is that, Pac-man?" The man was visibly shaken while pointing at me. Looking down at his t-shirt nervously, "Yea. Yea. I woke up here a few hours ago I think. 3 maybe 4 hours. I’ve just been sitting here. Where am I? What's going on?" Drew asked. "That's not important right now," the man replied. " What's important is where you're from. What year is it?" "What year? April something 2020. Why? What's going on?" Drew continued now worried. The man was taken aback. After a few moments, he seemed to calm himself some. The man sighed and looked at Drew in earnest. "Well, I've got good news and bad news for ya. Bad news is you're not on Earth anymore. Good news is you happened to run into me and not someone else. You’re either really lucky, or it’s fate we met in these woods, and I don’t believe in luck." The man continued to walk towards Drew while talking and put out his hand. "I'm John Mitchell from St. Louis or thereabouts. You’ve got nothing to be scared of by me. Walk with me and let’s talk."
