The Battle Bladers started. Gen was with Madoka sitting with the audience supporting Gingka, Kenta, Kyoya, Benkei, Hikaru, Hyoma and Tsubasa. Gingka, Kenta, Kyoya, Benkei and Tsubasa passed the first round. But unfortunately for Hyoma, he lost. Gen reaches the room where Hyoma was. She saw her brother Gingka and his friends standing outside.

"Is Hyoma okay?", said Gen.

"He is fine", said Gingka.

"If anyone's bey was treated like that, then there is no choice but to be sad about it", said Madoka. Gen becomes angry.

"I won't spare that guy, it's all my fault, it's all my fault that Hyoma is like this", said Gen having tears in her eyes.

"Hey, it's not your fault, Gen", said Kenta.

"Renji, I will defeat you for Hyoma's sake", said Gingka.

Hikaru's and Ryuga's battle was about to start. The gang were running to reach there. The fight begins, however Ryuga does not even mess with her: he uses his strongest special attack and sends a beam right towards her which instantly knocks her out and destroys a huge part of the stadium. Her Storm Aquario 100HF/S is not destroyed, but she fainted and looks hurt. "Hikaru", shouted the gang as they went near her. Ryuga takes his bey and looks so angry. He starts to laugh evilly. He then looks at Gen and turns around and leaves the stadium.

Later, the gang waits near the locker room. Madoka comes in.

"Is Hikaru alright?", said Gingka.

"She is gonna be fine", said Madoka.

"First to Hyoma, and now Hikaru, this is pointless", said Kenta.

"Ryuga has become even stronger than the last time we saw him but how?", said Benkei.

"By absorbing my power too", said Gen.

"Your power? What do you mean?", said Gingka.

"Ryuga became so strong by battling me and Accalia. That's why they took me to the Dark Nebula", said Gen.

"It's not just Ryuga, there is another, the poison serpent Renji", said Tsubasa.

"I can't take this anymore", said Benkei.

"One thing is for sure, either one of them is not easy to defeat", said Tsubasa. Everybody was quiet for a while.

"Hey guys, why are you so bummed down, cheer up, come on Benkei, tell Bu..Bu..Bull", said Madoka in a smile.

"I don't think that won't help this time", said Benkei.

"It's alright, Madoka, we knew that there are gonna be strong bladers and we have trained harder for this", said Gingka.

"You are right, Gingka, we will fight till the end", said Kenta. And they were happy again.

"Kyoya, we have to even the score for Hyoma and Hikaru, so good luck", said Gingka. Kyoya agrees but Tsubasa was still in doubt. Gen notices it.

At the evening, she was with Hyoma.

"You know you don't have to be here with me, you could have gone with Gingka and the others", said Hyoma.

"Why would I do that, if my friend does not want to, we always do everything together right?", said Gen as she was pouring some tea into a cup and giving to Hyoma. Hyoma drinks it and feels better.

"Are you feeling better?", said Gen.

"I think so, but Aries, it's still damaged, if only I could win that match....".

"Ignore the match, Hyoma or else you are gonna have a headache I am telling you, so what if you lost, that does not mean the end of the world", said Gen drinking her tea.

"Yeah, I guess you are right, which reminds me, have you thought of battling ever since your battle with Ryuga?", asked Hyoma.

"What do you mean?", said Gen.

"You were not like yourself ever since Battle Bladers started, when you see the matches, you usually feel excited but this time you were not...is there something bothering you?", said Hyoma. Gen suddenly remembers her battle with Ryuga. She was in deep thought.

"Gen?", asked Hyoma.

"Oh...I just remembered that I have somewhere to be...I will leave you...take care, Hyoma", said Gen as she was going towards the door.

"Are we not friends, Gen? I thought we would tell each other everything", said Hyoma. Gen stopped.

"It's not something to tell, you won't understand, Hyoma. Anyways you don't need to worry about me...so take care", said Gen as she left the room.

"Hey, wait, Gen?", said Hyoma.

At the night sky, Gen was still thinking about the battle with Ryuga.

"That battle....It's the first time I have ever lost", said Gen as she looks at Altario and then she looks at her bandaged right hand.

"What's a girl like you doing in this part of the day?", asked a familiar voice.

"Huh? That's sound like...(She turns around and sees Kyoya)...Kyoya?", said Gen.

"I didn't expect people here....what are you doing, here?", said Kyoya.

"Umm...me? I just....wanted to see the night sky...It's so beautiful...", said Gen in a funny way.

"You know that you are lying, do you?", said Kyoya as he stood near her. Gen looks sad.

"Okay, I am", she said.

"So what's going on?", said Kyoya.

"Oh it's nothing....don't you have somewhere to be like sleeping for tomorrow's match", said Gen.

"I am all ready for Ryuga...", said Kyoya.

"Oh, Ryuga? You are really pumped up, aren't you", said Gen.

"What's wrong, are you worried about me?", said Kyoya.

"What? No! Worried? About You? In your dreams! Why would I worry when a guy like you can totally win against Ryuga?", said Gen as she started to blush. Kyoya takes her wounded hand and Gen sees this in shock.

"You thought that if I lose to Ryuga, I will suffer like you, is that what you are trying to tell me", said Kyoya. Gen was speechless and looked down with sadness.

"You don't have to be worried, I will defeat him, for sure", said Kyoya looking at her.

"If you are telling me this, then I guess I don't have to be worried, and I feel much better...thanks Kyoya", said Gen.

"Don't thank me", said Kyoya as he starts to move forward. But he stops.

"Hey, Gen, after the Battle Bladers, be ready for our battle, cause I am not gonna go easy on you", said Kyoya with a smile and he walks away from her.

"You got it, Kyoya", said Gen with a smile.
