The clock on the nightstand was showing 8:30 a.m. I turned on the side, hoping that I'd get a little more sleep since the night didn't really allow me to. Some time passed and in my mind it felt like forever. I started questioning myself. Why did he kiss me? It felt so unreal tho. Was I dreaming? Was last night's event all just a projection of my own brain? Was I that in love with him that I was dreaming of kissing him? More and more questions were appearing in my head and unfortunately the answers were nowhere near as many. I turned to face the clock one more time.
8:34 a.m.
I decided that I should just get up and eat something, perhaps food could clear my thoughts. I made my way to the kitchen, passing by Gingka's room where I stopped for a moment. Was he still asleep? I wanted to open the door to answer my question but I couldn't bring myself to do so. I just walked in the kitchen where mr. Hagane was drinking his morning coffee. He noticed me right away and smiled behind the mug he was holding to his lips.
"Good morning, Y/n!" he said calmly.
"Good morning, is Gingka still asleep?" I just couldn't stop myself. The words just escaped my mouth. Ryo's grin grew bigger and he put the mug down.
"Yes, he is still sleeping." he answered blankly. I nodded and headed to the counter to make some tea in hope to calm my nerves and breakfast which I desperately needed because if I don't have one I will feel dizzy and tired. I started cutting an apple which at the moment was the most entertaining thing in the house. I was so caught in the way the knife sliced through the fruit that I completely missed what the man said. He put his hand on my shoulder and asked if I was okay. I finally peeled my eyes off the apple and looked in his direction.
"Yes, I am fine just lost in thought," I admitted.
"What were you thinking about?" he asked, the worry crystal clear on his face. I've known Gingka's father since I was a little child and I knew that I can trust him but the thing was that his son was the reason I was overthinking. Should I tell him? I thought about this for a few very long seconds before I finally let the words fall from my lips.
"I…was thinking about…Gingka," he looked at me with a slightly confused expression.
"What about him?" he further asked.
"Well…I sort of like him..a lot. Like a lot. Like I love him." I finally admitted it. I couldn't see his reaction, I faced the knife again.
"You…love him?" I heard him say, so I turned towards him again. I nodded with a guilty face. He smiled warmly at me and put both of his hands on my shoulders. I was surprised at first but returned the smile.
"There's no need to feel guilty about your feelings. In fact I think it's wonderful!" he said happily.
"Really?" I asked, not believing what he was saying.
"I do! I can't think of a better person than you, sweetheart." he bent down to hug me and I hugged back.
"Thank you..I am flattered. I honestly don't know what else to say," I said.
"Just let the time do its thing," he patted the top of my head. I nodded with the biggest, happiest smile I could master. "Now, my future daughter-in-law I need to go to work, see you later my dear." he kisses my forehead. My cheeks went bright red, putting the red hair of the two men to shame. Ryo chuckled at the sight of my embarrassed face.

"Uh…see you," I responded. He grinned casually and left the apartment, locking the door. I returned to the counter and finished the breakfast I was preparing for me and the blader with the white winged horse.
I carefully opened the door to Gingka's room. He was peacefully sleeping like a little kitten. I made a few steps in order to get closer to him. His face looked so adorable. Soft parted lips, cute tiny freckles decorated his cheeks like how the stars fill the night sky. Although his little broken nose was wearing a bandage you could still see freckles there too. I can gaze at his angel face forever.
"You are so pretty…" I whispered at the sight of the sleeping blader. My hand made its way through his messy red hair.
"You are so pretty too," his sleepy, husky voice caught me off guard. I jumped back in shock.
"You scared the hell out of me," I screamed annoyed.
"Sorry," he said but didn't really mean it. He was clearly amused.
"Stop it, you are making fun of me," I playfully punched his shoulder.
"I am not," he started laughing.
"You are just impossible," I giggled. He stopped laughing, but still kept a playful grin on his lips. "Come on, breakfast is ready." he yawned softly and murmured something I couldn't really hear. "What was that?" I asked.
"Coming in a second I need to get dressed," he repeated.
"Alright," I kissed his cheek and left the room.
Returning to the kitchen I placed the breakfast on the table and sat down on one of the chairs. Releasing that I had nothing to do while waiting I walked to my room and picked one of the books I brought with me and went back to my seat on the table.
Gingka is one sneaky boy. I didn't even notice when he sat on the table opposite me. To make me notice his presence he stood up from his chair and came behind me. His head fell on my shoulder and I was having a deja vu from last night. I tried to ignore him until I finished the chapter I was reading but he once again started gently rubbing his nose along my neck and shoulder. I stood still trying so hard not to show any reaction. I had only one page left, Gingka's warm hands gently wrapped around my waist, he started kissing the exposed skin and occasionally nibbled my neck. His scent filled my lungs. It carried the softness of the clouds and the freedom of the wind, a forest after a rainy day. I finally closed the book and put it aside. The boy lifted his head to face me.
"Good morning to you too!" I said as I smiled at him.
"Good morning, Y/n!" he said and sat down again. We were eating in silence until Gingka spoke once again.
"I am meeting Kenta and Benkei today, wanna join?" he asked while going for another bite from his toast.
"Sure..let me change first," I said and continued eating.
After breakfast I headed over to my room to change into something more appropriate. I chose a yellow sundress that reached above my knees, had short sleeves, revealing my collar bone. Leaving my room I entered the living room where Gingka sat on the couch looking through my book. I forgot I left it on the table. I approached the redhead slowly, making sure he wouldn't really see that I was there. I gently wrapped my hands around his shoulders.

"Shall we go?" I asked, softly whispering in his ear. His cheeks got slightly pink and his body froze in place for a few seconds.
"Uhh..yeah," he stood up and opened the door. I went outside, waiting for him to lock it. We began walking to the near bey park where we were meeting Kenta and Benkei. Gingka's hand found mine. They fit so perfectly, my chest felt warm and full with joy.
"Hey guys," Kenta waved his hand so we could see him.
"Hello Kenta and Benkei! How are you doing?" I asked first.
"We are fine. What about you two?" Benkei asked next.
"We are great too," Gingka answered for the both of us.
"Y/n-'' Kenta spoke again and I turned to see him. "Are you a blader too?" his question was unexpected but I knew they were going to ask me sooner or later.
"I was. Once I loved beyblade just like you but…things changed," Gingka looked at me with a worried gaze, he knew the story all too well.
"What happened?" Benkei worriedly asked. Gingka squeezed my hand and began drawing circles on the back of it.
"The Dark Nebula and Ryuga. When I tried to fight them that day when they came for the forbidden bey I not only lost the battle but my bey spirit too. Gingka's father was defeated and I tried to do something, tried to fight them but I couldn't. Luckily, in the end Gingka got us out of there safely, but after that day I couldn't touch a bey. Every time I tried to launch I would see that dark power taking over so I stopped trying. When Gingka left the village he wanted me to come with him but I refused." I explained, remembering it like it was yesterday.
"But Gingka came back that time when he lost to Ryuga. Did you meet him?" Benkei spoke slightly confused.
"Oh.. yes I did, he was just in a hurry and we didn't say much," I looked up to the said boy with a smile.
"I am sorry. I shouldn't have asked you about it," Kenta looked down. I bent down and put a hand on his shoulder.
"It's okay, you deserved to know," I spoke. "Now, we are not here to cry about the past, let's face the future. I can try to battle today.."
"Really?" Gingka looked at me both with a surprised and happy face. I nodded. "What are we waiting for then? Let's go!" He pulled me to the stadium, Kenta and Benkei followed us, laughing.
~
You decided to battle Kenta first since he kindly offered, you couldn't say no to those lovely brown puppy eyes. He stood on the other side of the stadium, ready to launch. You looked at Gingka who smiled reassuringly, you looked down at your bey. Icarus. An attack type. It was a gift from your father when you were a child. You've had so many battles together against Gingka, Hyoma and the other kids from the village. You truly missed beyblading. Setting the bey in the launcher signaling to Kenta that you were ready.
The darkness appeared from within your soul sealed there ever since your last battle. Cold wind replaced your thoughts. You saw nothing but darkness around you.
Your hands were stuck on the launcher, your eyes were looking at the stadium but you couldn't move a muscle.
"3.." You heard Kenta yell. You closed your eyes. Blue light broke through the dark clouds surrounding you. You came face to face with the spirit of your bey. Icarus smiled at you with his white eyes. His hand gently caught yours and the other rested where your heart is. You felt his power fly through your body, the light of hope banished the night. Opening your eyes again you saw the sun shining brightly.
"2.." You followed. Gingka saw everything in your eyes and he was proud of you, a bright grin on his face.
"..1" You both said, releasing the beys.
"Let it rip!" they hit the stadium at the same time.
"Gosh, it's been so long," You said to yourself. The excitement flew through your whole body, since it was your first battle in years you knew it wasn't going to be great but you were going to give it your all. You told Icarus to attack and he did it. The two beyblades clashed which was followed by many continuous attacks. Kenta's Sagittario is a stamina type so that wasn't doing much. You had to do something more effective.
"Go Icarus! Hit him hard!" Icarus obeyed and hit with more force. Sagittario tried dodging the heavier attacks but with no such luck. Kenta decided to counterattack with full power.
"You can do it, Sagittario!" he yelled encouragely. "Special move, Sagittario flame claw!" the special move was going to hit you directly so you decided to use it to your advantage. Kenta's bey hit yours and it sent it flying out of the stadium.
"Great job, Kenta!" Benkei yelled happily. Gingka smirked and looked up in the sky where your bey was sent flying.
"Not so fast," he said and Benkei looked at him confused.
"Now Icarus, special move Diving sun rays!" You called your special move, your beyblade dived from the sky straight back into the stadium. The spirit from your bey took form as the winged man from the greek mythology. He was covered in yellow energy followed by the sun rays. He kicked Sagittario out of the stadium and it stopped spinning.
"Wh-what? Wow!" Kenta gasped. You held out your hand where the yellow-blue bey landed.
"You.. saved me.. thank you," You whispered to your metal friend.
"You did it," Gingka screamed happily, pulling you in his warm embrace and hugging you tightly. "You were amazing, angel! You finally overcome your fears!" he lifted you off the ground, spinning you around in pure joy. Kenta and Benkei were laughing at what they were seeing. You giggled, Gingka let you down on your feet and hugged you once more.
"Thank you, if it weren't for you believing in me I wouldn't have won. And Icarus of course, he was the one who saved me from the darkness." You explained with a smile and Gingka couldn't hold himself and hugged you again. He was proud and full of joy, now that you were able to battle after all this time, he was excited to fight with you.
"B-b-b-bull! Battle with me now!" Benkei asked you, holding his bey in front of him.
"Yeah! Me next!" Gingka yelled, pulling you against his chest.
"Bring it!" You all chuckled and started the next battles.
