Valt grew excited. "That voice. It is, isn't it?"
Drum Koryu entered the arena, in a yellow collared shirt, a blue jacket with white, yellow and dark blue attires, D symbols, tie, and gloves red in color, teal pants, though his face was just as red as half of his outfit, even overshadowing his blond hair, horn highlights, and red-yellow markings on his cheeks.
The general consensus was everything asking if this kid was actually doing alright or were in need of medical therapy, given how angry his face looked. Valt just assured that he was just very nervous as he walked up to the other teams from other worlds.
"Um, my, um, name is Drum Koryu," expressing with every fiber of his being, bowing down to them and showing off Dragon. "It's very nice to meet all of you!"
Kenny could empathize with the embarrassed and took Drum's hand. "I'm new at this too, well the blading side of it."
"Well, I'm actually ranked number six, but it's nice to meet you too," vibrantly shaking hands with Kenny, and energetically bouncing around to say hello to everyone.
Julia noticed something off. "You're from Europe?"
"Yeah, France! I moved to Spain to join BC Sol and I stayed with my uncle's team in Japan," before heading back to Kenny. "It's okay, I was new at this too. We just have to give it our all." Kenny started to agree.
That was until Drum started counting the number of people who was up against, and his brain melted until his brain started to glow, and a large azure dragon was right in front of him.
"One minute you're pumped as usual, the next you're sweating."
"You're right. It's just there's so many bladers. I can do this, right?"
Dragon spoke with wisdom and courage. "Anything is possible."
"Still, I'm even battling the other legends."
"Don't discount your efforts. Defeating Aiga Akaba and Valt Aoi in their state is something to be proud of. We've gotten this strong because of you doing your very best."
"Then why stop now, right?"
Dragon nodded. "The bonds you've made with your friends and rivals, push through and have fun."
Drum nodded and turned back to reality. Tyson could tell he was talking with his dragon as well when Sakyo approached the younger blader.
"Is there a dragon clan in this world too?"
Flustered, Drum wasn't sure how to respond. Kira wasn't impressed and got in his face.

"Sure you're not too young for this, kid?"
As per usual, Drum tried fighting his flustered state and fought back. "I'm super serious about this, miss!"
Kira got enraged, but Aiga but in while Kite held the former back. "Think you can beat me without Lui?"
"Oh, Lui's here too!" He sprinted over to the other dragon user. "You got a new Dragon blade, right? Can I see, can I see?"
Lui reluctantly agreed, showing him Guilty Longinus. Drum admired the heck out of it until Lui took it back. "Has that interesting training helped you out again?"
"Right! We're even more serious than before!"
The two dragon bladers laughed as loud as they could while Hanami asked for the next member of team twelve to approach.
"Drum, don't rush so quickly, we were supposed to enter together!"
A teen with a more mature figure, dark brown hair, green eyes, black shirt under a smooth yellow martial artials robe with a white-red flaming double V shirt, but had on glasses.
Daichi didn't see much from him. Ray and Mei-Mei disagreed.
"His concentration and patience is high."
"We could use someone like that on Wang Hu Zhong."
Amane apologized on behalf of Drum's behaviors, though the latter was pleased.
"We're in such a big tournament with so many powerful bladers. Amane, we made it."
Amane slightly blushed. "It's really an honor. I always wanted to take Victories this far! Something like this, we've really made it."
Their attention was now on Transcendent Turbo, with Aiga and Valt aware of them.
"You helped out the WBBA beat Hell," the former spoke. "Let's see if you can actually take a point off of me this time."
Valt took his hand as a sign of gratitude. "Hell is gone for now because of Victories. Amane, thank you for looking after Drum this time. Show everyone how strong your bond with your blade is!"
Then, Amane's eyes found himself in a green void, where his giant partner spoke with him, an armored humanoid, six armed, four foot, three faced, golden bladed being fitting of a Buddha.
"Bushin Ashura!"
"You're really excited for this, huh. Show it," with a positive tone. "Your hard work has gotten you this far, you're not overthinking as much. Keep your spirits up and stand your ground! We'll win!"
Amane nodded and his psyche returned to reality, removing the glasses and tightening his green headband around his waist. "Give up or you'll cry uncle soon," kicking at the other teams. "Team Rising Victories will have you begging for mercy!"

"The Heart of the Victories, Amane Kusaba has spoken. With the Pride of the Victories, will they reign supreme in the tournament?!"
"We'll make sure of it." Delta Akane came out next, tall, red eyes, shaggy green hair, long bangs over the left side of his face, in a casual black shirt and bright red jacket, and gray pants. Everyone else was more focused on why he looked so similar to Shu.
"We're not related. Valt, he's one of your proteges?"
'Mhmm. They've really grown since they've forged their own paths. Lui, Zac, Free, you would all make great mentors!"
Zac seemed to agree, Free had to think about it, and Lui thought it'd be too much of a hassle. "I'll surpass them all eventually. At least he didn't turn out like yours, Shu."
Shu didn't say anything, while Diabolos brought Delta into their mental space.
"Their light, it's delicious. We'll conquer their darkness and prove our light superior. Ashura, Dragon, don't hold us back."
Delta nodded and returned back to reality, tapped Drum.
"You've lost to Sisco and Free already. I'll be sure to help you out." Drum went to hug him but Delta briefly pulled away. "Still, Rising Victories will be the winning stars shining in the sky when the tournament is over."
"Yes, yes, that is true. However!" A blond haired, ruby eyed, blue and yellow glasses, red-yellow jacket, green dress shirt, with rings on his fingers clapped his fingers and posed in front of them. "I, Fumiya Kindo, will elevate the Victories to it's full potential!"
Amane groaned. "I'm starting to regret recruiting you."
"Oh, but you won't. This time, you have no excuse to include me. If you were able to unlock Gold Turbo, then this is my shining moment," snapping his fingers at them.
"And look, Free's there too."
Fumiya jumped, jittiering at the sight of the Golden Boy. The Spark Devils himself hid behind Delta when Free turned to them.
"Keep it together Fumiya!"
"You know you could just talk to him."
"Easy for you to say," regaining his composure. "I'll have to fight my way to the top and show him how far I've come," holding Wizard Fafnir in his hand. "I can do this."
Delta wondered if it was possible he could unlock his Gold Turbo.
Hanami called the final member up. Garland and Xhaka expressed surprise. Delta grinned.
"So you came after all."
The crescent haired curved kid walked in, eager and willing. His tattoos, diamonds on the bridge of his nose, turquoise and gray robe, scarves with stripes, and strong battle aura set a precedent.
"Only because I want to see if I can go farther," said Pot Hope. "If Blind could do it, why can't I?"
Crusher wondered what the deal was. Garland explained his research showed there was a temple in this world known as the Castle in the Clouds to some, Heaven's Castle to others. Xhaka also admitted knowing some of the details.
"I was going to take Sword Flames and SB Rios there for some training. I thought you gave up on blading for good?"
"After Gold Turbo, Flare, I want to feel that excitement again. A power that pushes me to rise with the heavens. I can't be left behind anymore."
After Hanami introduced him and his blade, Gingka was curious about seeing his blading style. There was only one other blader with a Pegasus he could think of but it wasn't like they would be in this tournament.
Masamune thought he was cool and expressed a hand, looking forward to a great match. Pot agreed, and the latter freaked out when Pot's entire arm disappeared. Yu laughed.
"Still as gullible as ever Masa-moo-moo. Ooh, we could use more strong Stamina types too, this day keeps getting better."
Tango, Drum's uncle, and Ichika, Fumiya's sister, joined them as the support mentors. The younger member was easily tired. "Dealing with those five together is a bit of a hassle."
"But it's nice to do."
Ichika agreed. They were soon joined by Taka taking images with everyone and offering interviews to mixed results, while Ichika dragged her brother to talk with Sasha.
"We're big fans of Free, but someone's too chicken."
"You're good. Free feels a lot more open, but I'm not even sure he would know what to say."
"Hope we end up on the same bracket then."
Everyone took their place. All twelve teams were now assembled, there was nothing stopping them from starting the tournament when suddenly, Hanami burst out in shock.
"Wow-wow, there are more teams entering this tournament. Next up are-wait are those even allowed?"
Two silhouettes were about to exit the entrance hall.

Delve
Summary – Level 1: Delve is an isekai litrpg that follows an average guy who just happened to wake up in a forest one day. He wasn’t summoned to defeat the demon lord or to save the world or anything like that, at least as far as he can tell. The only creature there to greet him was a regular old squirrel. Soon enough, he meets other people, only to discover that he can’t speak the language, and that not everybody immediately trusts random pajama-wearing strangers they met in the middle of the wilderness. Things generally go downhill from there, at least until the blue boxes start appearing. Delve is a story about finding your way in a new, strange, and dangerous world. It’s about avoiding death, figuring out what the heck is going on, and trying to make some friends along the way. It’s not about getting home, so much as finding a new one. Did I mention that there will be math? Summary – Level 2: Okay, but what are you in for, really? Well, this story is supposed to be realistic, or at least, as realistic as a fantasy litrpg can be. The main character doesn’t instantly become an all-powerful god and murder-hobo his way across the universe. Delve is, at its heart, a progression fantasy, but that progression is meant to feel earned. The numbers in this story actually mean something. Everything is calculated, and if you find a rounding error, I expect you to tell me about it. That said, if math isn’t your cup of tea, there is plenty more that the story has to offer. Characters are meant to feel real, and progression isn’t only about personal power; it’s also about allies, connections, and above all, knowledge. Figuring out how the system works is a significant theme. ... What, you want more details? Okay, fine, but this is going to get a bit spoiler-y. Are you sure? Yes! Really sure? I mean, this summary is practically half as long as the first chap– Now! Okay, okay! The main character becomes a magic user, but he takes a route that is not very popular in adventurer culture, namely that of a support. There is a full magic system with various spells, skills, and abilities, but our MC decides that aura magic is the way to go, and that the only stat worth investing in is mana regeneration. Most people at the Adventurer’s Guild think that this makes him a bit of a dumbass, but he’s playing the long game. We’ll see how that works out for him, won’t we? Because of his build, the MC levels up fast, at least compared to normal people. There are no cheats, though, and he is limited in other ways. There are some clear and pretty obvious downsides to his build. That’s what makes it fun, no? Morals? Our MC has them. Again, we’ll see how that works out for him. Realism, remember? Would you be okay with killing someone and looting their body? I sure hope not. POV? The focus is on the main character, but there will be occasional varying perspectives from people around him, or involved in the events related to the main plot. It isn’t going to jump all over the place. Tech is standard medieval stasis. No smartphones, but the MC does have a technical background. Computers and their programming might be involved. There might even be a bit of uplifting down the road, who knows? Anyway, it isn’t the focus. He isn’t going to invent the gun in chapter 1 and change the face of warfare. Romance is not a major focus. Friendships are more the name of the game, though there will be some characters in romantic relationships. There is exploration, though not as much of the geographical nature as you might expect. It is more about exploration of the system and the culture. The pace is slow and detailed, sometimes verging on slice-of-life. The action is meant to be realistic and grounded in the numbers, and it is intended to have meaning beyond simply punching things until they stop moving. The general tone of the story is grey, and some parts can get quite dark. People die. Sometimes, people with names, but not anywhere near GoT level. There is plenty of light, too, though, to balance the darkness. The world is dangerous, but overcoming that danger is why we’re all here, isn’t it? Anyway, if you’ve made it this far through the summary, you clearly like words. I hope you enjoy the story! Cover by Miha Brumec Summary Updated: 2020-06-14

Surprisingly, in the fantasy LitRPG genre. A girls death forms the foundation for a plan centuries in the making. But when she shakes off their control, and forces the plans of beings millenia old to change, can she avoid being tied up as a loose end? With only what she could take with her in her mind, and a new body with surprising depths, she begins her new life in a world unlike her own. This is my first writing project in almost a decade, so there is going to be a lot of improvements from me as I shake off the rust. And of course, as the world I'm creating comes to life! So if you like the concept, please bear with me, and hopefully I'll reach the high standards I know you have. Edit (04/04/2018): Witness the power of my complete lack of any artistic talent! There is now cover art for this fiction. Its just barely better than the default, but hey, minimalism is in, right?
8 144Homecoming | A Chronicles of Ascension Story
When Jethen was captured by slavers, his childhood was torn from him and left shattered half a world away. When he finds himself back home decades later, by methods he does not fully understand, he finds that the life he has lived has changed him far more than he knew. In a home he no longer knows. Places and people at the same time familiar and foreign, he must decide - stay and help with his parent's business, or return to the land that remade him and the family he made there. --------- Homecoming started as just a short story to break an episode of writers block. It has since morphed well beyond that into a novel in it's own right, and may well end up with a sequel. The writing of Homecoming became a bit of a self induced challenge to improve my initial, first brush, writing quality. Each chapter was written raw, given a once over read and edit, and then posted. In this way I am forcing myself to write better from the start. I do hope you enjoy the story and will leave a comment or review, and if you see an issue, feel free to let me know as well. I know it is not nearly perfect, and it will get a full and proper edit once I am done. Never hurts to fix things along the way though. As an additional note. The story has undergone a structural rework and has been reposted in an updated structure and sequence of chapters. If you have read this story already, I invite you to do so again in this new structure.
