《Into You - Jennie Kim x Female Reader》Chapter Sixteen

"You should totally go." Soyeon, my teammate, playfully pushed my shoulders while grinning at me. The team and I are now huddled at the bleachers while the school staff are preparing for the next game which is at 1pm.
After the team's first win, the team excluding coach, decided to have a celebration party tonight at one of the most talked about bar in town.
"I'm not sure, Yeon. You know how my parents don't want me to be involved in stuff like that. Besides, it's a weekday night." I responded and looked around the court. On the bleachers near the gym door, I saw my friends talking to one another. Jennie then turned her head towards my direction so I waved at her and smiled. She just smiled softly at me.
I don't know but something about her smile makes me think that something is up. What's wrong? Did something happen at the boys' game?
"Y/N!" I snapped my head back at my former teammates and saw them snickering.
"You know, if we are strangers, we would think that you have a thing for Jennie." My ears heat up from what one of them said. I thought I was doing a good job at keeping my feelings, forbidden feelings, at bay. But I thought wrong.
I hit her with the towel I was holding. "Shut up. We're sisters."
"Yeah and you look like a love struck puppy with her." Yeon joined in the "fun". Teasing me has always been a fun thing for them. Back when I was still playing, they would always tease me about things that are either straight up false or something that I am embarrassed to talk about. Before, I don't mind them doing those but now, I feel so nervous to be teased with her.
"Whatever, that's not true." Except that it is but no one has to know, right?
"Anyway, are you coming or not?" Aisha asked.
"Coming where?" We turned our heads and saw that the girl we were just talking about arrived with our other friends.
"Ah, Jisoo unnie. We were just asking Y/N if she's coming with us at the celebration party tonight." Soyeon answered the older girl.

"Where would this be?"
"At the hottest bar ——"
"Bar?!" Jisoo's eyes widened and her voice went up an octave higher.
I shifted on my spot uncomfortably. This is my end. She's gonna tell mom and dad about this.
"Then she'll go! We'll go!" My scared expression changed into a shocked one upon hearing the girl's answer.
"Jinja? We will?" Rosé asked with a sandwich on her hand.
Jisoo unnie nodded with the biggest smile on her face.
"Yes!" It was nows Lisa's turn to scream. "Parteeeeeey!" All of us laughed at her reaction.
"Well I guess, I'll go." I shrugged and picked up my bag.
"Are you going, Jennie unnie?" Our other teammate ask the quiet girl. I looked at her and we held eye contact. I was trying to send her a telepathic message telling her to refuse since I know she would reject. Seeing the student council president at a bar is not a good reputation for her and I know that she knows that. This girl values her reputation so much and that's one of the many things I admire her for.
But seeing her smile as she removed her stare from me, I knew she's gonna have exceptions tonight.
"I will go. Won't miss it for the world." And with that, all of them cheered aside from me.
Something's really up with her and the night won't end without me knowing.
•••
The girls and I separated from the team hours ago. We went to go eat at the cafeteria and decided to go to Lisa's place to kill some time before we have to leave for the bar.
Since it's sportsfest week, the school allows students to do whatever they want as long as they would show support to at least one game each day. And since we are present in today's first girls' basketball game, we were already given a pass to leave.
Tell you what, sportsfest week is students' most favorite week.
It's currently 4 in the afternoon and we are sprawled at Lisa's gigantic couch in the living room. Her parents are out right now but she said they'll be back soon.

"We're home!" Speaking of them, they have arrived
"Eomma!" Lisa ran to her mom and hugged her tightly. Lisa has a very close bond with her parents, specially her mom.
Aunt Fern and uncle Mario are like our second parent since out of all our parents, Lisa's parents are the youngest considering that Lisa is the baby of the group and the both of them had her at a young age. But despite that, they are never ashamed to tell people that because Lisa grew up to be a nice, polite, loving, and jolly daughter. Probably the perfect daughter any parent could ask for.
"Hi, auntie!" I beamed and went in to hug her.
"How many times do I have to tell you to just call me mom?" She playfully scolded me because it's true that she already told me that a hundred times before.
"But, but, you look just like my age. You must have had a sip at the fountain of youth." I giggled as auntie hit my shoulders playfully.
"Oh shut up." She then leaned in and whispered, "This is why you're my most favorite friend of Lisa's."
"Hey, we heard that!" Jisoo unnie whined as aunt actually whisper yelled that statement.
All of us laughed at Jisoo. I swear, she's the oldest but acts like the youngest sometimes.
I then walked to uncle Mario and fist bumped him. I was about to talk to him when my phone rang. I excused myself and walked to the kitchen to answer my phone.
Before pressing answer, I looked back at my friends and see them happily chatting with the couple.
Jung Chaeyeon
Y/NNNNN!
I winced as I heard Chaeyeon's chirpy and loud voice on the other end. Why the fuck is this girl always energetic?
I know I sound very rude but I don't care right now. Chaeyeon is a nice girl but all she does is cling to me 24/7. Okay maybe not 24/7 but you get my point. It gets annoying.
Chill. I just miss you.
My blood boiled once again as I remembered the event at the gym. I understand how clingy she gets but she fucking stepped on a line. We are not even a thing.
Oh sweetie. Don't act like you didn't like it. You actually kissed back, if you have forgotten too.
I close my eyes and took deep breaths while unclenching my previously tightly clenched fist. This girl knows how to get under my skin.
Ouch. That hurts.
She chuckled bitterly at the other end but I don't care.
Anyway, I just want to say that I'll go to that party at the bar tonight.
Silence engulfed us after I said that so I continued.
When I was met by another silence, only a deep and shaky breath coming from her, I hanged up.
"So who is this someone else that you thought Chaeyeon was?" I jumped as I heard my cousin's voice. I whipped my head to the kitchen door and saw her standing there with a smug grin.
"Jesus, Jisoo! You scared the living crap out of me!" I yelled at her as I held my hand on my chest. This girl would be the death of me, literally.
She just shrugged it off and walked to the counter beside me and grabbed an apple.
"Soooo?" She urged after taking a bite of her fruit.
"What soooo?" I played dumb while rocking on my heels.
"Don't play dumb on me now, Y/N. I know you. So who is this person you're thinking about?"
My face heat up and my ears burned at the question.
"It's M-mina. I thought it w-was her." I had to come up with a name since knowing Jisoo unnie, she wouldn't stop until she gets what she wants. And there is no way I am telling her that it is Jennie.
She looked at me for a while, analyzing if I'm saying the truth. And after a while, she shrugged and left me alone in the kitchen.
I released a deep breath as I thought about what happened the night Jennie and I spent with each other.
I never knew chocolate and strawberry would taste so good on someone else's lips.

The attitudes of the characters don't represent my views and some of them are highly questionable.
