Lisa's POV
"Mr. Kang... It's the end of the month. Will I get my pay today? " I asked while sitting at the passenger seat of the car since I already told him that whenever he's driving me off to somewhere I'd be more comfortable to sit right next to him instead of sitting on the back seat alone.
"Yeah, do you need to buy anything?" He asks looking ahead while I'm just looking at the window
"Yeah... You know school stuff" I said making him nod. He dropped me off at school and drove away telling me to call him if I'm going home already.
Once I saw Bambam and Jisoo we immediately walk towards our first class not wanting to be late.
"It's the end of the month" Jisoo said making me look at her cause she does know about this one
"Do you want me to back you up? " bam says brushing his hair out of his face
"I can go on my own and also they'll just be mad and things may go downhill if they saw that I'm with someone" I said making chu nod as we enter our class cutting off our conversation
After our class which ends up at 5 I immediately bid them my goodbyes and run out of the school but when I saw Mr . Kang's car outside I grab my phone and started texting him that our class gets extended so he should just leave and I'll go home with my friends but he insisted on staying so I don't have any more choice but to go at the back of the school which has fences.
"Where are you going? " I looked around seeing one of the guards that are usually roaming around
"Can I get out here? I'm really in a hurry and it'll take too much of my time if I'll use the gate in front" I explained trying my best not to stutter

"That'll be hard kid but if you need to then go ahead but don't get caught by the other guards," he said and I smile nodding at him as I started climbing up on the fence.
It took a couple of minutes until I fall on the other side but it's all good as long as my bones are still fixed and my bangs are still there.
I run as fast as I can so I can go back home immediately. I also looked for an ATM first to get some money. I turn my phone off and entered an old building that mostly doesn't have residents there... Except for a couple of people.
"Mr. Nam," I told the guy right on the aisle and he immediately walks away so I followed him towards the room at the end of the hallway and he opens up the door letting me in first.
"Lisa... I thought I need to send my men " Mr. Nam said while sitting on his couch and a lot of big ass guys around him. I put my hand on my pocket and started pulling out the money and hand it over to him "what a good girl" he says smiling and I can't help but feel a shiver run down my spine from his disgusting smile. "Next month, I'll see you again. I didn't spend a couple of months in jail for nothing Lisa. You need to pay bigger now" he said and one of his men dragged me outside shutting the door behind me. Good thing nothing bad happened.

I walk home and saw a couple of guards around and when they saw me they immediately grab their police radios or the walkie talkie but they let me walk towards the elevator of the penthouse. When I arrived at the penthouse I saw Mr. Kang waiting outside and Jennie's back facing me from the living room.

"Where have you been? " Jennie asked turning around and she's already barefaced so she's probably home early than the usual
"I just went for a walk" I said looking at her
"Didn't you tell Mr. Kang your classes were extended? " she asked. Oh crap
"well yeah... After the class I went for a walk" I said and internally cursed at myself for stuttering
"Ironically, Jisoo and Bambam doesn't have extended classes when y'all share the same schedule" Jennie said making my eyes go wide as I look down slowly
"Well, I-"
"Don't explain Lisa. If you're doing anything to keep the media's eyes on you and create another bullshit... You can go back to your old life" she said walking upstairs leaving me there.

Jennie's POV
I open up my eyes hearing groaning from Lisa's bedroom since it's just next to mine. I went out of my bed and walk towards her bedroom while I'm already in my nightgown. I look up at the side of her table and saw that it's 1 in the morning.
I turn to look at Lisa who's brows are furrowed and a couple of sweat on her forehead making her bangs stick together.
"Lisa" I spoke out not knowing what to do and she's still groaning turning her head from side to side. I kept calling her again and again while just standing there. After a couple of minutes, her mouth opened up a bit "I'm sorry " she kept repeating the same thing and I can also hear her mumble her mom and dad, and soon enough a single drop of tear escaped her right eye making me go under the blanket next to her. I put my hand on her cheek and started tapping it softly "Lisayah" I softly said and kept on tapping until she shot her eyes open and immediately found my eyes and I can see how teary her eyes are.
"It's alright I'm here" I said not knowing that I'll just say that right in front of someone when I'm not usually like this. She stared at my eyes and I leaned more to hug her and she did the same while crying on my shoulders.
It's my first time seeing Lisa like this. I mostly see her being all bubbly and annoying but why does it hurt when she's crying?
"Nini.... please stay with me" she mumbles on the crook of my neck and I froze for a couple of seconds from the nickname she just called me and also how vulnerable she is right now.
"I'll stay, go to sleep " I said and started combing her hair using my other hand laying down right beside her while her face is still on the crook of my neck.

“One million seventy-three thousand five, one million seventy-three thousand six, one million seventy-three thousand seven, one million seventy-three thou—eh?” A white light appeared. My sight’s coming back! It’s coming back! Finally, after one million seventy-three thousand seven and a half seconds, I can see! Wait, if I can see does that mean that I can speak? Hurriedly, I opened my mouth and said—no, shrieked, “I’M FREEEEEEEEE!!!”
8 204The Kodoku Game
In Japanese folklore, there once existed an ancient technique among alchemists for harvesting the strongest poison known to man. A poison so vicious, so horrendous, that a single drop could incapacitate an entire nation of humans, several times over. A poison so intense that a single drop could turn the tides of a war on its head. As potent as it appeared however, this poison could be harvested from the blood of a single insect alone- an insect the alchemist’s called the ‘Kodoku’. As lucrative as was attaining this poison however, the problem lied in identifying this insect- its appearance, shape and size changed from region to region and from continent to continent. Sometimes it took the appearance of a ladybug and other times a horned-beetle. In order to determine the identity of this special insect the alchemists came up with an ingenious method. They created an impregnable jar of clay out of the best sandstone they could find and placed hundreds of different insects into the same jar. The jar was made with such great mastery that it allowed no insects to escape and allowed no objects to enter. The laws of nature dictated that the insects would remain together in the jar forever. However, it turned out that as time went on, the insects’ hunger for food and power caused them to turn against each other- one insect ate another until only one remained. This sole insect contained a poison that far surpassed that of all the others and became stronger as it ate more and more insects. The alchemists at this point had succeeded in identifying the Kodoku and could extract it’s poison as long as they continued to feed it regularly. Although this folklore ends here, the actual story does not. One day, as the alchemists cheered in joy of having identified the Kodoku they so eagerly wanted, they forgot to close the lid on the very jar that was considered to be completely impregnable. This small gap was just large enough for the Kodoku inside to crawl out. Famished from not having been fed for weeks, the Kodoku ended up eating the very alchemists that nourished its growth until not even the bones remained. Yet, the Kodoku’s hunger didn’t seem to subside in the slightest. So it traveled to the next village and began eating whatever it could find there. Its poison made it unparalleled in strength and slowly but surely it began to dwindle down the population of the entire city. Yet its hunger only continued to grow. So it traveled to the next city over and ate all it could there. Very soon, the Kodoku couldn’t find any more food to eat. There was no one left to eat and no one left to spectate. So it stood there, by itself pondering what possibly was left to eat that could satiate its hunger. But there was one thing left that Kodoku realized it had never eaten. Itself.
8 104The Plan
An infinite world couldn’t be real, but if it was, well this would happen. Imagine a world that isn’t covered in water, but an endless atmosphere. Plates of land, named “islands”, float and drift almost aimlessly. There is no sun, stars, roof, or floor; just boundless air in every direction. Light is generated from the movement of air flow. Magical and mystical powers keep islands floating and the world full of fresh entropy. Some of these floating islands drift upwards or downwards or any combination of volatile or patterned velocities. Air flow also follows the same characteristics of islands, which generates the light and heat. In a world with no horizon, the different inhabitants struggle. Beings calling them selves deities across the endless space are countless. If you were to fall off an island, you would inevitably hit another island; if you didn’t die from old age first. Many inhabitants don’t know the land further than their own eye sight or town they grew up in. Almost all inhabitants of islands have supernatural abilities, ranging in ability and skill. Magical abilities are kept individually; and mystical powers are borrowed. Islands float because the land is enchanted by either a magical or mystical crystal. Magical islands are known for vertical variance, while mystical islands are known for vertical stability. The islands rotate around focal points, known as 'the center'. There are many 'the center', but no one knows this yet... Warning: Tagged Mature 18+ for Strong Language, Gore, Violence, and sexual scenes. Google Drive (Click here to open new window) WIP/spoilers
