Kill him...
The words echoed over and over inside him, until their sound almost became a meaningless tangle. Donghae stared at the people around him...the gleaming porcelain face of LaVerè, the man standing next to her who had his gun trained at him...finally his eyes rested on his mother,
It was weird seeing his mother like this, now that he clearly saw her in the light; she was dressed in expensive clothes, if he hadn't known better, he would've mistaken her for someone else. In short, she was looking better than he had ever seen her before.
"Donghae" said his mother walking closer to him, "you belong with us and not with Falcons and I thought you knew better!"
Every cell in his entire body pleaded with himself to stay calm, but it was difficult. He glanced up, steadily glaring at LaVerè's greesy mascara-bloated grey eyes.
"Why should I kill him?" said Donghae quietly, while he heard a dim tutting from the man who stood infront of him. "The fault is with our parents! We have nothing to do with your stupid wars!"
"He's clearly spent too much time with Maranzano" he said in a gloating voice. "Know this my boy, he won't give a shit about losing one member of his gang! Especially not you! I hoped you said goodbye forever when you stepped out to come here coz there ain't no fucking way you're gonna go back to the Falcons"
"You don't know him!" shouted Donghae almost getting up from his chair, "I can't kill Jake"
"Can't...or won't?" asked LaVerè, her taloned fingers tracing his lips.
"Listen Donghae" she whispered, her voice imidiately calming him down, it felt almost like a drug, "All you need to do is act like his friend and we will take care of the rest...do you think Jake would spare you if he knows who you truely are? The son of the main enemy of Falcons?"
Donghae took a deep breath and shook his head. His head was already spinning with pressure and this made it impossible for him to concentrate.
"Very well" she said lastly, "choose wisely Aiden, Cosa Nostra once had a leader, his death should not be in vain"

"I'm sure my father didn't want me to become a cold blooded killer who stabs people in the back" said Donghae sarcastically.
LaVerè let out a small snort of laughter, "no my angelic looking boy, your father would've wanted you to be a great leader...and in this world you see, becoming a leader is the same as becoming a cold blooded killier, there's no difference to it"
"Avange your father Donghae, we preserved Cosa Nostra for this long and not for you to back out! Kill him, and it will be over" said his mother from the other side. For the first time, Donghae heard the steel edge of her voice, it was harsh and emotionless,
"do you know how much I risked our lives to keep this organisation going? Do you even know how much I suffered from Falcon's brutality? That man left your father to die Aiden! And Cosa Nostra will NEVER forgive them! Do you understand me?!"
But Donghae did not hear a word she said, his mind was spinning with memories...memories of Jake telling him about his mother and father, memories of the late night parties, his luminous grey-blue eyes, Jake taking off glass pieces gently from his body, the feeling of his lips pressed hotly against his own, and his hands softly touching him in a way he'd never been touched before...no he couldn't kill him...never!
"No, I don't understand you" gasped Donghae. Without thinking, he whirled around and kicked out at the guard who had been behind him, his force connected with the man's wrist, making the gun that he'd been holding fly towards the cielling. Donghae deftly caught it with his left hand, aimed and fired at the fallen guard, the man dropping down dead before he even hit the floor.
"Stop it Aiden!" screamed LaVerè just as Donghae quickly kicked the chair away from him, "there's no need to shoot your own men! remember whose side you're on!"
"I don't want your fucking side! And I don't want to be a fucking leader! Just stay away from me!" shouted Donghae.
He was clasping the guns tightly, sweat pouring off his body while he aimed one at LaVerè and the other at man next to her.

"Donghae! In god's name, what's wrong with you?" asked his mother in a shocked voice, "why are you protecting that traitor's son?"
"Because if he is a traitor's son, then I'm a traitor's son too!" shouted Donghae, "my dad let out where the Maranzanos were living, knowing that they'll be killed!"
"That was to protect you Aiden!"
"I think we should give him some more time" said LaVerè suddenly, and turned towards him, "to think about how his so called Boss would react if he knows his true identity"
Donghae bit his lip and didn't say anything... but LaVerè's eyes caught the the slight tremble in his hand. She knew one more blow was enough to turn him.
"I feel sorry for you Aiden" she said, her voice light, "how long are you going to wait till he comes for you?"
Donghae gritted his teeth but stayed silent. What LaVerè said was now clasped on his mind, how long was he going to wait for him? How could he love Jake when he had his own secrets? What's the point? He's never going to come. He himself told him not to come and he'd be an idiot to hope...
Anger started boiling inside him, it was a low flame, reminding him of all the chances he'd lost... perfect opportunities that he could've ended the Falcon Circle...all gone now... the more he thought of it, the more he felt himself being useless to someone like Jake Maranzano.
"I think" said the Captain delighted, looking closly at Donghae's change of expressions with satisfaction, "I think we should leave him here to think to himself"
"I agree with you Captain" said LaVerè with a small smile, and she started walking away.
His mother did not leave however, she went on gazing at him, and finally she leaned forward, and brought her lips against his ear,
"I'm proud of you Donghae, you chose very well" she whispered, and turned to the gurds standing at various places,
"Guard your leader and do not let him get out" she comanded with an authoritative voice and left Donghae staring after her.
Donghae fell back on the chair, he felt close to vomiting, but he held himself and stared at the gurd infront of him unblinkingly until he lost the track of time, the double doors were just behind him..if only he could make a run for it...
But that idea was ridiculous... he'd never get there in time... suddenly, he saw a little red light blinking on the center of the doors, as he looked around, same kinds of small red dots were blinking on every window inside the room. As he watched in facination, a distant part of his memory suggested the only possible name for it...
Snipers!
Donghae only had enough time to register the word when every glass pane in the room shattered into smithereens all around him, small peices of glass cascading down to the floor, like a smoking waterfall... he heard men screaming all around him, he watched in horrified facination as blood spilled all over the floor; but his eyes were fixed only at one boy who was coming towards him, and they locked eyes for a millisecond. And Donghae saw; what pure destruction looked like in Jake, his hand movements were almost a translucent blur as he took down the Cosa Nostra guard in seconds, snuffing out their lives brutaly.
Donghae felt as if time stopped between them when Jake came and stood infront of him, his hands slick with blood and his white shirt soaking red. Without him knowing, Donghae's hands moved toward the wound but Jake didn't let him touch him.
"It's all right" muttered Jake, and Donghae almost felt faintish after hearing his voice, "it's just a stupid cut"
Before he could think about anything, Donghae felt as if his insides were burning, how many times did he have to lie for Jake?
"I told you not to come" he said, his voice deadly, "you shouldn't have!"
"You're right" said Jake taking a tranquillizer gun from his coat "I shouldn't have"
Before Donghae could move, Jake shot him on the shoulder. And the impact knocked him back on to the chair..
Then the whole world went black.
