Walking into the lunchroom I see sharife and Alyn both signaling to someone that's sitting in front of them.

The were giving me a stern look basically telling me to be nice.

When I came in I realized she was sitting in my seat. I wasn't tripping cause there were plenty of other seats but it not gone lie and say that it lowkey rubbed me the wrong way.

"Hey yall" I said as I approached the table

I seen a shy looking girl sitting in my spot. Why would they tel me to be nice, she doesn't seem like the type to tick someone off.

"Hey jay, this is the new girl Sariyah " Alyn introduced her

"Hey" i said holding out my hand for her to shake.

She hesitantly shook my hand.

I sat down next to her but in front of Alyn.

"Jay,did u take my hoodie this morning" sharife finally spoke

"Uh no" i lied,"Omar probably took it" i said blaming him.

"Why would he take my jacket" he questioned

"Idk ask him" I said

"Mhm, I want my hoodie back after school"He answered

"I don't have it" I protested

"Omg can y'all shut up " Alyn said irritated

"Shut yo light bright ass up" i said mugging him

"Are y'all dating " Sariyah mumbled towards me and Rife

Why everybody always ask that.

"No that's just my friend " i said

She scooted close to me and whispered.

"So I can get at him" she said

It caught me off guard cause she didn't look like the type to ask that.

"Uh yeah ig" I said hesitantly

I didn't wanna seem selfish and say no. Plus I already told her we weren't dating so it would be weird if I told her no.

" what type of girls does he like" she asked

"Uh I don't know just be yourself" i said in all honesty

I don't really know his type so if he doesn't like her I'm sure she'll figure it out.

"What y'all talking about over there" Alyn interrupted

"Nothing that concerns you" I answered

I looked over at Sariyah and she put back on her shy face.

"Uh are you shy or what cause ur kinda confusing me" i whispered to her

"I just act shy cause guys like girls who are to their selves" she answered confidently.

I'm not one to judge So sis u do u.

I nodded and turned back around.

I had no food and was hungry asl. Lunch had already started and I knew I could postmate anything.

"Sharife do you have a dollar I could borrow" I asked

"How do you borrow a dollar " he asked pulling out a dollar

"I'll pay you back later" i pleaded

"Ight here" he said pushing the dollar in my face. I would've punched him but I wanted to keep my dollar .

I got up and walked to the vending machine in the corner of the cafeteria.

I put my dollar in and clicked on the cheez itz.

I grabbed them when they feel and made my way back to the table.

Sariyah was now sitting next to sharife caressing hi arm. He seemed very uninterested and it made me feel joy inside.

"Let me get some" Alyn said putting his hands out

"Y'all heard sun" i asked looking around

"Fuck you" he said making me laugh.

"U would like that wouldn't you " i said in between laughs.

"Ight Ight chill out" sharife said looking irritated

"Not this nigga getting jealous " Alyn said pointing at sharife.

"I'm not even jealous " he rolled his eyes

" I'm not even jealous" I mocked him "shutcho bitch ass up" i finished laughing

I know he was gone beat my ass when we got home but I was gone have my fun while I can.

"Imma beat yo ass" he said pointing at me.

Who does he think he is.

The bell had rang and we all got up to go to our next class.

"Uh are you sure you and sharife aren't dating" Sariyah stopped me in the middle of the hall

"Uh yeah, why" I asked annoyed now.

"Cause you guys seem really close" she said

"Were best friends what do you expect " i asked trying to get to my class but she abt to make me late

"Okay well can you guys like cut it out" she said grabbing my arm as I tried to walk away

"Omg bruh what is you doing " I whined snatching my hand away

Call me a crybaby but she's really getting on my nerves.

The bell rang.

"Omg bru " i said stomping like a big add baby.

Mr. cooper told me that if I'm late to more of my classes he's gonna make sharife walk me to all of them. Sharife be doing too much sometimes.

I quickly started to walk to my next class which I guess she just so happen to also have next what a coincidence huh.

"Girls ur late " the teacher said as we walked into class

"No shit" i said in my head. I was already late and I wasn't planing on getting detention.

"My dad is finna beat yo ass" sharife said as I sat next to him. (I don't remember the schedule I said b4 so for now on they have all classes together)

"Ah fr i didnt know" i said sarcastically

"Why you late anyways"he asked

"Cause ms salmonella over there held me up" i said shrinking in my chair.

"Who " he asked looking genuinely confused

"Sariyah " i said who happened to be sitting on the other side of him trying to chyme into our convo. Luckily she couldn't hear what we were saying. I don't plan on getting into unnecessary drama.

"Oh " he said dismissing the convo.

"What you mean oh" I asked looking at him for an answer

"What you mean what I mean" he asked back

"Why did you say oh like that " I asked

"Like what" he asked laughing

"Dont act stupid" i said flicking him on the forehead

"SARIYAH" i heard the teacher yell

Gah damn.

"Would you like to share anything with the class, since your new " the teacher asked

"Uh no thanks" she said

"Come on just a thing or two" she pushed

"Uh my name is Sariyah and thanks to my dear friend sharife my day has been better" she said smiling wide at him

He looked disgusted.

"Rife why you looking that way" I asked holding in my laugh

"Shut up" he said smiling at me.

At the end of the day Sariyah had talked me into letting her come to our house.

As we approached the car I seen Omar in the passenger and mr.cooper in the front like always.

Since there was only 3 seats left and me being the smallest I had to sit in the little.

"Who is this" Omar scrunched up his face as Sariyah came in.

RUDE

"This is my friend now turn yo ass around and mind the business that pays you"

Even tho she did piss me off earlier I was trying to see if there was any good in her. I'm desperate for a new female friend.

" Jay, don't you have practice tomorrow" Omar asked.

Basketball season was delayed for the girls team for a little bc of some school problems. (I honestly don't know y'all, just go with the flow)

"Yeah finally going back to playing ball" i answered

"I didn't know you played basketball " Sariyah said

"Most people dont" I answered

"You guys have a slam video coming up soon" Mr.cooper said

"For what" I asked

"You'll see" he said

I looked at sharife but he was already staring back at me.

We just shrugged it off.

....

Once we had got home I took Sariyah up to te'a's room. I knew sharife probably wanted to chill so the plan was for us to just hangout in here room until either te'a came home or Sariyah left.

"Uh if it's okay I'm gonna go take a shower, you can just sit here if you want" I said getting up to go shower.

...

After I got out the shower and changed I made my way back to the room but Sariyah was no longer in there.

I looked around the house for her but I couldn't find her.

Suddenly I heard close moving in me and sharifes room.

So I went in.
