I think I know why I don't travel anywhere. I hate flying. Something about being that high in the sky hurts my head. Plus, the loud noise that the plane makes tends to make my anxiety even worse.

The second that we land, I feel all of the air hit my lungs. I can finally breathe again.

Call me when you land. It's urgent. I read when my phone finally goes back into service. Natalia's Mom has been good about keeping me in the loop with everything. I know that her parents left a earlier than I did. They've been here for awhile. Despite wanting to get here as quickly as possible, Shane was able to get me a later flight so I wouldn't feel as rushed.

"Thank God!" I hear a man say in the row next to mine. He stands up and stretches his arms after the three hour long flight. "Have a good one, man." He says as he grabs his brief case and stands in the aisle waiting to exit.

"You too." I reply with a nod.

The good thing about First Class is being able to get off of the plane first. Right now, all I want is to leave the crammed space.

I watch as the people ahead of me begin to exit and quickly stand and grab my carry-on, waiting to follow everyone else.

As I walk off of the plane and towards the terminals, I feel my phone going off.

"Hey, I was just about to call you." I answer when I see Natalia's Mom calling me.

"Grayson, it's Natalia. She was in an accident." Her mother replies with urgency.

"I stop walking and hear someone grumble as they push past me. I can't move though. I can't do anything but try and breathe.

"An accident?" I ask.

"Si. She was with Nathanial and she slipped on some mud and fell, I guess. I'm on my way to the hospital right now." She sighs.

"What do you mean? Why is she in the hospital if she only fell?" I ask.

"She fell down the side of the road. Nathanial said it was fifteen to twenty feet down the hill. She hit her head on the way down and he couldn't get her to wake up. We just arrived when it had happened. Nathanial didn't tell us until they had already been at the hospital for awhile." She explains.

"Where is she right now? Which hospital?" I ask, rushing past people and trying to find the baggage claim. Thankfully, I can speak and read Spanish. Otherwise, navigating through this airport might be more difficult than normal.

"Luz Gonzalez Casio. I'll send you the address. See you soon. And hurry!" She adds before hanging up.

How the hell did this happen? How did this possibly happen? There's no way that in a matter of days, things could have gone from great to absolutely terrible.

Once I find the baggage claim, I can find the exit. I have no idea if they even run Uber in Zacatecas, but I'm relieved that I don't have to find out when I see multiple men yelling "Taxi!"

"Taxi?" I ask quickly.

"Si, sir!" An older man smiles. "Vamanos!" He says as he exits the building with me following quickly behind.

I follow him to the bright green Nissan. I look around and see that multiple green cars line the side of the street with men waiting for customers. I haven't been in a Taxi in years. I remember having to take one when I was younger, but quickly stopped taking them once Uber started running LA.

"Where to?" He asks, looking at me through his mirror once I buckle my seat belt.

"El Hospital. Luz Gonzalez Casio." I answer quickly.

"Si." He nods before pulling out of the parking spot and driving away from the airport.

I check the distance from the airport to the hospital and it says that we're only half an hour away. However, his driving might make it so we arrive much earlier than that. Any other time, I would be anxious. Right now, I'm mentally thanking him for driving so quickly.

-

"Gracias." I say, handing him the cab fare.

"De nada." He nods before pulling away.

I check the time and sigh, wishing I had only kept the earlier flight. It's nearly 10PM. I should have just kept the earlier flight. If I had done that, I would have been here hours ago.

I walk up to the desk and see a grey haired woman sitting down.

"Hola." She smiles as I approach.

"Hola." I reply. "I'm here to see Natalia Zamora." I say in English, hoping that it might not be a problem.

"Natalia Zamora." She says, understanding me immediately. "Si. She's up on the second floor. Piso Dos, habitacion doscientos." She smiles.

Floor two, room two hundred.

"Gracias." I say as I walk over to the elevator. Thankfully, the elevator opens and closes quickly, sending me to the second floor in only a minute or so.

"Grayson?" I hear behind me. When I turn around, I see a very confused looking Nathan standing with a coffee in his hand. "What are you doing here?"

"I got a flight over here." I tell him.

"Yeah, but when? How did you know that we were here?" He asks, guiding me down the hallway.

"I had plans on coming here ever since she told me that she was coming to Mexico. I just landed an hour ago or so. Your Mom texted me and told me that Natalia was in an accident." I explain.

"My Mom? Wait, what?" He asks.

"I need to know what's happening with Natalia, first. How did this happen? Is she okay?" I ask.

"She fell when she got out of the car." He sighs.

"Why was she getting out of the car? What was she doing?" I ask.

"I told her the truth. I'm sorry." He sighs.

"What truth? What the hell is going on?" I ask.

"I know that I made you look really bad." He explains. "You didn't cheat on Natalia. You didn't do anything wrong. You and I both know that the only reason you even stayed was to try and impress me." He shrugs.

I stay silent and wait for him to continue.

"I was the one who kept feeding you drinks. I was the one who pushed Brooke onto you. It was my fault, not yours. I told her the truth and I'm sorry. I didn't know that it was going to get this bad for her. She quit her job and just...I didn't want that for her. I never wanted her to give up on the job that she loved. I just wanted her to find someone who made her happy. Someone who could take care of her when things get really bad. Ryan was so bad to her and just...I'm scared. I'm the reason that Ryan even met her. He used to be one of my best friends. I let that relationship happen and she ended up getting hurt because of it. I promised myself that I would never let something like that happen again. I just...I'm sorry." He explains.

"Can you take me to Natalia, please? I heard everything you just said and I appreciate your honesty. However, I have no way of possibly processing everything you just said until I see Natalia. I'm freaking the hell out and I just need to see her first. Please." I say.

"Grayson! You made it. Come here, amor. Nathanial, did you get the coffee?" I hear his mother say from across the hall.

"Si, Mami." Nathan replies, walking towards his mother.

"Natalia?" I ask, not wanting to be too rude by rushing them. "I'm sorry, I just-"

"No, no! Of course, she's in here." She replies, motioning for me to follow her into the room a few feet away.

I walk inside and hear the slight beeping from the bed in the middle of the room.

"Oh my God." I say, rushing over to Natalia's side.

"She's still sleeping." Nathanial sighed.

"What happened? How did this happen? What's wrong with her?" I ask quickly.

"She fell. Like twenty feet on a downhill slope on the side of the road. She tried calling you and thought it was a service issue. She just wasn't looking and slipped on some mud. She hit her head on the way down." Nathanial explains.

"Has she woken up? How long has she been asleep?" I ask, pushing some hair away from her face.

"She's been asleep for hours. She was in and out of consciousness the entire way here. The doctor said it's just a sprained ankle and a bad concussion." Nathan adds.

I stare at the sleeping girl in the bed and feel myself breathe again. Her skin is pale, but she looks like herself for the most part.

"Can you hand me the baby wipes over there?" I ask, nodding over to the box by the window.

Nathan walks over and hands me the box quickly. Without thinking about it, I take one of the baby wipes and begin taking the makeup off of her face. I know that when she wakes up, she'll be glad that I thought of taking it off. She hates it when she falls asleep with makeup on. I remember the one time she did, she ended up complaining about it all day.

"She hates sleeping with makeup on." I mutter, grabbing one more wipe and cleaning anything remaining off of he skin. "There. That's better." I say, more to myself than anything else.

"I didn't even think of that." Nathan replies.

"When do you think she'll wake up?" I ask, rubbing my thumb against her soft cheek.

"No idea. Now, we wait." He sighs.

"Yeah, I guess we do." I mutter, praying that she wakes up sooner rather than later.
