《My Rogue Alpha》Epilogue

Four years later
Zayn pov
"Babe, someone is at the door." Harry grumbles beside me as he turns away from me and snuggles deeper into
his pillow.
I groan as I now hear the doorbell too, "What time is it?"
"Too early." He responds.
I sigh. All my pack members know they shouldn't interrupt mornings with my mate. It's my favorite time of day. Whoever this is, they have a death wish.
Cade growls in the back of my mind as I get out of bed, also wanting to enjoy the morning longer.
After quickly putting on some sweatpants, I make my way to the door and open it with a scowl on my face. Guess I'm finding a new fucking Beta.
"Morning Alpha." Jace says cheerily, making me even more pissed off.
"What do you want?" I grumble.
Jace gives me an annoying grin, "Today is a day for the boys. We're going out."
"Excuse me?" Did this idiot really ruin my morning for this?
"Yep. The Luna told me you've been too stressed lately. So we're going out." Jace says.
I narrow my eyes at him. I haven't even been that stressed. I decide to link my husband.
'The next time you tell Jace I'm stressed. Tell him that ruining my mornings stresses me out even more.'
'You can live a morning without spending 30 minutes cuddling me. Have fun today.' Harry links back and I can literally feel his grin through the bond.
I let out a soft growl. "Give me a minute to put on some clothes."
---
When I entered the car five minutes later I was met with a sleeping Jasper in the back. Guess I wasn't the only one who got dragged out of bed.
In the end, there was a reason for the early morning. We had to drive for two hours before arriving at our
destination.
"We're going fishing?" I asked when I got out and saw Jace grab a bunch of fishing rods from the back of his
truck.
"Yup! According to the internet fishing helps with stress and anxiety as well as concentration, patience and self- esteem. And above all that it helps strengthen bonds!" Jace explains as he gives Jasper, who woke up thirty minutes ago, a box full of bait.
"I think you've done more damage to our 'bonds' than strengthening them so far." Jasper grumbles.
I just let out a sigh as I grab the fishing rods from Jace's hands so he can grab some more supplies. This man took
the entire fishing store with him.
When we arrive at the massive lake Jace took us to, I actually get a bit excited. Dad used to take me fishing a
few times. Jace wasn't wrong, it helps with patience and concentration.
My excitement dies down when I see Jace place the supplies in a small boat.
"I'm not getting on a boat." Cade doesn't like boats. He prefers being on solid ground. Honestly, so do I. It might be one of the only things we're
semi afraid of. It's not like we can't swim. We just don't like boats.
"Come on, Alpha. We can get better fish on the boat." Jace starts to argue.
"Says who? I've caught plenty of fish from the sidelines before." I shoot back.
"You've been fishing before?" Jasper asks.
I nod, "Unlike what the both of you think, I had a life before I lived in the forest."
"It's not that. It's just that Alpha's usually spend a lot of time training. Not much room for a relaxing fishing trip." Jasper explains his reasoning.

"My dad liked fishing, so he took me fishing." I say with a shrug. No way I'm giving Jace the satisfaction of being right about it helping with emotional control and stuff.
Ten minutes later we're sitting at the side of the lake with our fishing rods casted. Jace put up quite a fight but as
soon as Cade gave him a growl through the link he shut up.
"Man, it's been a while since I've had some quiet." Jace spoke eventually.
"Kids been that bad?" Jasper asked with a smirk.
"Just you wait, you'll never have a good night sleep ever again after kids, let alone twins." Jace laughed.
Jace and Thalia had their twins two years ago, and they are an absolute nightmare together. Lisa has puppy eyes that lets her get away with anything she wants and Lucas is the wildest pup I've ever seen. That pup doesn't ever run out of energy.
"Fred wants to wait longer." Jasper says with a soft sigh. He wants to start having pups, but he respects Fred's
opinion. It's her who has to give birth after all.
I mean, hell, I'm the same way. I can't wait to have pups, I'm almost thirty now. I think Harry isn't ready yet though.
"You guys are troopers," Jace starts, "Who knew humans would want to wait this long before having pups?"
"It's not a human thing, I think it's an Harry and Fred thing." I spoke, "Both are similar in that way."
Jasper smiles, "I'm honestly not too bothered. There is plenty of time for kids still."
I nod in agreement. As long as I'm with my mate I'm perfectly content.
"Holy shit, my fishing pole is moving!" Jace suddenly yells.
"Reel it in then." I say as I glance at his pole. Sure enough, something is biting.
"How do I do that?"
The hell, how is this guy my Beta?
---
"I can't wait for Thalia to see this." Jace spoke up contently as he looked into the bucket.
I grumbled, "See what? The fish I caught?"
"It was my fishing pole, Alpha."
"I'm demoting you to Gamma. Jasper is my new Beta." I mutter.
"You wouldn't!"
Jasper busted out laughing, "We all know I'd do a better job."
"Arrogant ass! I kept this pack running when there was a lone Alpha sitting behind the desk. Don't make fun of me for not knowing how to fish." Jace argues.
"I was just messing with you. I wouldn't be able to be a Beta. Gamma is more than enough." Jasper says with a smile, "You're a great Beta."
I can't help but smile at the situation. Jace often looks like he's easy going but he is an amazing Beta. He almost
knows as much about the pack as me.
He makes sure to keep tabs on everyone and never slacks on work. He's great with advice too. He's not afraid to give criticism, something an Alpha needs to run the pack.
Sometimes, a Beta will support anything the Alpha wants, because he's scared that he'll be punished for
disagreeing. However, an Alpha needs his Beta as a right hand for a reason. The Alpha doesn't need someone to
gravel at his feet.
"Don't worry. I've lost one Beta, I don't want to have to look for another one." I reassure Jace as I look back onto
the lake.
"Thank you, Alpha."
"I'm taking that fish though. My mate will love it." I say with pride, the need to provide for him growing within me. I guess Cade's been rubbing off on me.

'You're just happy you've found a way to provide for him without needing me.' Cade grumbles.
'Cade how many times to I have to tell you that supermarkets exist. They provide for us just fine.' I shoot
back.
'Nothing beats hunting for our mate ourselves. Why do we ask humans to do it for us?'
I sigh and ignore my wolf. He still doesn't understand how supermarkets work. He keeps thinking people go out to hunt for wild cows and bring the meat to the building for weaker humans to take.
"No! Catch your own fish!" Jace speaks up.
"I did. I caught that fish." I point out.
"Alpha, please. I want to impress Thalia and the kids. Let me have my pride." He whines.
I glance at his pole and smirk, "You can save it yourself by reeling in this next fish."
Jace looks at his fishing pole and gasps, "Wow, they love me!"
"They love the bait. Now reel it in." Jasper says as he holds an amused expression.
Jace starts reeling in the fishing pole like a mad man. After some tips from Jasper and I he surprisingly manages to catch his own fish. Around an hour later Jasper manages to catch a fish too. He immediately let's it go though. Fred isn't as open minded about hunting as my harry, and Jasper said he doesn't want to give Fred a
heart attack.
I finally get a hook around one in the afternoon, and if I wasn't the Alpha, I bet Jace would have made fun of me
for it.
We end up going home around two, and arrive at the pack house at four. Our relaxing fishing trip doesn't end up being as relaxing as we thought as a bunch of pack work is waiting for us at home, and since we all want to return to our mates for dinner, it has to be done in the next few hours.
Eventually, I manage to escape the office and arrive home. I sigh as I close the front door.
"I'm home." I call out.
"In the bedroom!" Harry calls back, making my mood instantly better.
I jog up the stairs and enter the bedroom, only to find it empty. Not only that, but Harry's scent isn't fresh in the room. He hasn't been here in a few hours. I frown and look back into the hallway. His scent leads
me to one of the guest bedrooms.
"Baby?" I concentrate on our bond but harry is blocking his emotions out.
Damn, why did I teach him how to do that? I do hear his fast heartbeat. My little mate is nervous about something.
When I enter the room it's almost empty, which it wasn't before. It used to be filled with a twin sized bed and a
dresser. Instead, there is a cardboard box in the middle of the room, which harry is standing next to with a smile
on his face.
"Redecorating?" I ask him as I raise an eyebrow. Something is off here, his heartbeat is going way too fast.
"Just a new project for you to put together." He says, his smile getting wider.
I glance at the box and then notice the words on it. My heart stops. Baby crib.
My eyes shoot back to Harry's, then I glance at his stomach, and then back to his face. "A-are you-?"
Harry nods and grabs some paper from his back pocket. He opens it up and holds it out to me, "I'm pregnant."
He says as he shows me the positive pregnancy test.
For a second I stand frozen, and then I let out a mix between a laugh and a sob. I didn't even realize that my
eyes started watering, but I have to blink to prevent my eyesight from becoming blurry.
"You're pregnant." I manage to breath out.
Harry nods and walks over to me. I let out another laugh and suddenly I'm unfrozen and holding harry in my arms.
"We're having a pup." I breath into his hair.
Harry chuckles and nods as he places a hand in my hair and runs his fingers through it. I let out another sob
mixed laugh and break down completely. Crying from happiness at the news.
He's pregnant. My mate is pregnant.
Cade is howling in the back of my mind. I can feel his pride and happiness in waves as well as Harry's
happiness, that he is now showing through the bond.
I pull my head out of his hair and through my tear filled eyes I smile at her. "How long have you known?"
"A few days." He responds, "Went to the pack doctor today to confirm it. I've been on top of it because I
wanted it to be a surprise to you. Harley told me Will could hear the heartbeat and that's how they found out they were pregnant."
"I thought you weren't ready yet."
Harry blushes slightly, "Well... with Harley pregnant and so happy I kind of realized that I was ready too. To start a family with you."
I nod and kiss him. Kiss my husband. My pregnant hubby. Fucking hell he's perfect. I break the kiss as I realize something.
"This 'day out with the lads' thing was just a distraction wasn't it?"
Harry laughs, "They don't know, if that's what you're thinking. I talked Jace into a day out pretending you were stressed. I needed some time to prepare the room."
"You didn't carry the bed out yourself right?" I asked concerned.
"Of course not! I asked some pack members. Only Thalia and Freddy know that I'm pregnant though." Harry explains calmly as he glances at the box again. My smile widens
as soon as I see the words 'baby crib'.
"Thank you. I'm so happy." I say softly.
"Glad the fishing trip helped." Harry says with a wink, making me roll my eyes.
"I'm never going fishing with Jace ever again." I say before glancing down at Harry's stomach.
I know the pup doesn't even have a normal shape yet, but I get down on my knees and excitedly kiss his stomach.
"Hi pup."
"I don't think they can hear us yet." Harry says with a chuckle.
I glance up at my mate and smile, "I don't care. I'm just so happy that our pup in growing in there."
"Do you think it will be a boy or a girl?" Harry asks as he softly holds his hand over his stomach.
I hum as I think about it. "A girl."
"Really?"
"Yeah. A girl with her dad's eyes, but her mother's hair." I say as I envision her. My pup, my daughter.
"That would be lovely." Harry whispers.
I smile and nod before standing up and looking at my mate. "We'll have to wait and see."
Harry nods and hugs me, "How's Cade taking it?"
I chuckle, "He's running around like a kid in the candy store."
Harry laughs into my chest, "I'm glad he's happy."
"Baby, we can't even begin to explain how happy we are. We've always wanted pups, and then when our old pack got destroyed we were so afraid that we'd never be able to." I say as I start to get emotional again.
Harry places his hand into my hair as he starts soothing me. He always knows when I need this, even when I've got my walls up and he can't feel my emotions. He's always there, always supportive.
"Thank you," I whisper as I kiss his temple, "for giving me a family again."
