Angela was sitting at the kitchen table, eating pancakes and bored out of her mind. She was still sad about Jenny and couldn't get over it. Sally was sitting at the table beside her. Brenda walked in.
"Why is that horrible thing always sitting at the table?" Angela rolled her eyes. "I already told you. She's my friend."
Brenda rolled her eyes too. "You need to put that thing up. It's hideousness is blinding me."
Angela got up and grabbed Sally. "Whatever. I'm going to the bookstore." She put Sally in her purse.
Brenda said "Good. At least I don't have to stare at either of you."

As Angela walked into the library, a cold rush of air hit her face." Sally wiggled out of the purse. "What is this place?" She said with a disgusted tone.
Angela stuffed her back in. "Shhh keep quiet!"
Suddenly, the owner Mrs. Hudson walked in.
"Hello Angela! How nice it is to see you here!"
Angela quickly smiled back. "Hey Mrs. Hudson!"
Mrs. Hudson smiled. "What brings you here?"
Angela sighed. "Oh well I couldn't stand being at home with my mom. You know how she is."
Mrs. Hudson nodded. "Ah yes, I remember her as a student. She was very... interesting."
Angela nodded. "Yeah well I'm going to go look for a new book to buy. Or a few."
Mrs. Hudson said "Oh yeah you go and do that, I'm going to go put up some old stuff in the storage room." She slowly walked towards the backroom.
Angela walked around the store for a while, looking at the weird bracelets and dream catchers. She picked up a red and brown bracelet and decided to buy it.

She sat Sally down into a chair and sat down with her looking at some books.
"Hey Angela I just remembered- Oh my goodness what is that?" Mrs. Hudson shrieked as she walked in.
Angela followed her gaze to Sally. "Mrs Hudson, this is my doll."
Mrs. Hudson shook her head frantically. "Oh no that is not a doll, it is a demon!"
Angela frowned. "Mrs. Hudson you must be mistaken-"
Mrs. Hudson grabbed Angela's arm. "Come let me show you, I have a ton of things to tell you about this doll. It belonged to my old friend Katrina long ago."
She led her into the storage room. She pulled out a box from under a table and handed it to Angela. "Here you must take these and look at them."
Angela took the box warily. "Um I will but I think I'm going to go to the bathroom really fast."
Mrs Hudson nodded. "Okay but hurry back. I need to tell you everything about this little doll of yours."
Angela set the box down and ran to the front of the store. She searched around. "Sally where are you? We need to get out of here-" Angela looked around and Sally was nowhere to be found.
"Sally?"
Angela ran to the storage room. "Mrs. Hudson?"
She looked down to see Mrs. Hudson on the floor dead with blood pouring out of her skull. She had multiple slashes across her stomach, arms, and legs.
Angela screamed as loud as she could. "Mrs Hudson! Don't worry I'll get help!"
She ran out and saw Sally sitting on a table. She frowned. "What's going on?"
Angela snatched Sally and stuffed her in her bag. "Not now Sally we need to get help!"

Angela ran across the street to a bakery and asked the owner for help. He called the police and they were there investigating for hours. A police dropped Angela off home. "You were very smart to call. Im sorry for what you saw and I hope you have a nice day."
He drove off and Angela walked inside. Scott was sitting on the couch with Brenda. "Angela, where have you been? I heard there was a murder downtown at a bookstore!"
Angela started crying. "It was Mrs. Hudson."
Scott hugged her and Angela hugged him back. Brenda rolled her eyes. "Well I'm glad she's gone. She was my old teacher and I hated her."
Scott glared at her. "Why don't you go to your room? We don't need you here right now."
Brenda gasped but then turned and stomped up the stairs with Angela still crying.

Disclaimer: I'll leave this on here for anyone to read. The last time I uploaded a chapter was nearly a year ago, and to all the readers who still kept their trust in me after I came back from my umpteenth hiatus, I am sorry. I will not carry on writing this; I started off without the correct foundations of a novel, nor commitment to fully finish it and I do not want to lie to you all once again. Maybe one day, I may decide to re-write the novel, with a new basis or at least a comprehensive starting point with many of the narrative errors cleared up; but, till then, this is goodbye. And, once again, thank you for the motivation you gave me. Even now, I see many emails come through with people commenting. Goodbye. A child blessed by the Astral. An unprecedented destiny. Watch his path, as he marches up the stairway of Heaven. A March of a Sovereign. [Adventure, Wuxia, Martial Arts, Fantasy] This is a Qihuan novel; it has eastern and western fantasy elements. More often than not in Xianxia or Xuanhuan there is a severe lack of character development, being a western writer I'm changing that. My characters, from my totally unbiased view, feel fleshed out and actually have emotions. This is my first attempt at a novel, I'm writing as a means to better convey my thoughts. I will, hopefully, steadily improve chapter-by-chapter. I'm very open to feedback and constructive criticism. As one can see this is a cultivation novel, so you know how this goes. I've decided to jump-start the whole rags-to-riches scenario. He is strong from the start and is given the utility to do so. *The cover art is not my own, all rights reserved to the owner. I will take it down if necessary. *The style of the recent chapters is comparatively different than Chapter 1.

Cole wasn’t expecting to be threatened with decapitation the morning before his high school graduation, but alas, The Tower was practically meant to train humans to slay demons like him. Even if his new reality was bleak, Cole didn’t intend to idly adhere to it. There were four tiers to clear The Tower, but could Cole trust his new companion to guide him through them? Could he really make it to the top with essentially everyone trying to kill him? Even if he could, would he be able to survive the world that awaited him beyond The Tower’s walls? Cover by Jack0fheart Certain tags won't fully manifest until later in the series, so that's something to keep in mind. This is my first novel, so go a little easy on me. 8 121Unknown Fate's End
The ancient's believed that a man's fate or destiny is written already, and that only God or maybe the Gods could change it. If they did change it, it was believed it was for a purpose unknown to that man or for maybe for the ammusement of those higher beings. However, whether that is true or not, one thing is for certain. Changing a man's fate will create a ripple of changes. Join our hero, who whether by luck, by some divine intervention, or by his own choice, separated from the fate that he shared with his fellow earthlings. Watch him struggle in his new world. Watch him grow. Watch him learn. Watch him walk a path oustside what destiny has for him. FYI: The magic concept in this story is high fantasy with involvement of polytheistic religions and demons. There will be a mix of GameLit style writing mixed with traditional magic novel style writing. The plot developement will be slow in the first volume, as I will focus on world building and character building. The main character will not be OP immediately and will develop into one in his own way over time. This series is built less like modern Japanese, Korean, and Chinese webnovels and more like the old school fanstasy novels like DND and Forgotten Realms.
