《Sally (Book 1)》Chapter 3: Invitation
Advertisement
It was just another day at Willis Jr High School and everyone was excited about the weekend and Christmas break. Mostly because McKenzie Boulevard's Birthday party was coming up and she was turning 13.
McKenzie was handing out invitations to everyone in the school except Angela. At lunchtime, everyone was talking about McKenzie's 13th birthday party how it was going to be a lot of fun.
McKenzie was sitting at the popular table while little Angela sat at an empty table by herself.
Just then, a girl with short wavy brown hair and purple eyes stood in front of Angela. Angela looked at her and thought 'I have never seen anyone with purple eyes before'
The girl smiled. "Hi I'm Jenny, I'm new here and I was wondering if could sit here. Do you mind?"
Angela shook her head, "No go ahead, and sit. I am Angela. I'm not really the most popular girl at this school but I'm really nice!" Jenny giggled. "It's nice to meet you."
All of sudden you could hear the clicking of heels as Angela turns around to see McKenzie with a ...smile on her face? Angela was confused. Why would McKenzie be smiling so fakely?
Then she remembered about Jenny. She was trying to take Jenny away from her. McKenzie said so nicely to Jenny, "Hi I'm McKenzie Boulevard, future Actress, Singer, Dancer, and Superstar."
Jenny smiled awkwardly. "Nice to meet you, I'm Jenny."
McKenzie looked at her eyes. "I love your eyes. What kind of contacts do you use?"
Jenny shook her head. "I don't have any contacts on. It's just my eye color." McKenzie's eyes widened. "Oh my gosh really, I wish my eyes were that color."
She looked at her twins and waved at them to come over. They came and stood beside her.

"I was wondering if you wanted to join my group. You will be perfect and fit in very well with us. You also get this friendship bracelet and here is an invitation to my awesome birthday party that is tomorrow. I hope to see you there."
McKenzie handed her the invitation. Jenny looked at it.
Jenny was about to say yes until she saw Angela with her head down.
Jenny actually liked Angela didn't want her to be sad. She suddenly had a bright idea. She then spoke, "I'll go to the party."
McKenzie smiled and was about to hug her until Jenny said proudly, "But only if Angela can go with me."
McKenzie and the twins dropped their jaws to the floor. That is until McKenzie snapped her fingers and they closed their jaws.
McKenzie smiled a little harder and said very impatiently "Jenny I invited you. I didn't invite Angelica so why don't you just come with us and we will talk about all the stuff we're going to do at my party."
McKenzie gently grabbed Jenny's arm until Jenny shoved her hand back and said, "Not without Angela. It's either me and her or just neither of us at all."
Jenny smiled at Angela. Angela smiled back and thought to herself 'I finally have a true friend.'
McKenzie looked at the twins and they went in a huddle.
After a few whispers, they finally turned towards Angela and Jenny. McKenzie walked over to Angela, who had a smirk on her face. McKenzie rolled her eyes and sighed, "Here. Don't forget to bring a present."
Angela finally got an invitation! She eagerly took it and kept examining it. McKenzie snapped her fingers and both of the twins followed her to their table.

Bone Dungeon: Book 1 in the Elemental Dungeon Series
Ryan doesn't remember much about his life before becoming a dungeon core. Only that he had a bit of a disagreement with the church -- something to do with a beheading? Now reborn, Ryan begins to arm his darkness dungeon with devious traps, bestial zombies and ill-named skeletal creations, without doing anything too evil. Well, mostly. Some adventurers just deserve a stalactite to the head. But Ryan quickly learns being a darkness dungeon isn't all loot and bone puns. With a necromancer on the rise and the Adventurer's Guild watching his every move, he must prove that not all darkness dungeons are malevolent... even if they do have a few skeletons in their caverns. Sadly, all of these issues keep distracting him from his own guilty pleasure, skeletal fight club.
