thefloor with a piece of chalk, then looked back up at the two kids, "Now you said you found Tyreese's group here?"

"Yeah." Carl nodded.

"We secured this." Glenn spoke, a frown overtaking his features.

"Well, he — he thought he came through here," Addy said, tracing her finger along the chalk corridors that Glenn drew.

"That means that there's another breach," Glenn sighed, rubbing a hand over his face, "Ok. Now, the whole front of the prison is insecure. If walkers just strolled in, then it's gonna be cake for a group of armed men."

The group had been preparing themselves for the governor attack, weather it was making plans of what to do if things went south or preparing their safe haven for battle.

"Why are we even so sure he's going to attack? Maybe you scared him off." Beth spoke up, crossing her arms over her chest.

"He had a fish tank full of heads,"Michonne suddenly said, making everyone look up at her with wide eyes, "Walkers and humans — Trophies. He's coming."

"We should hit him now," Glenn suggested. Addy and Carl looked up at him from their place crouched on the cold ground, "He won't be expecting it. We'll sneak back in and put a bullet in his head."

Addy frowned, she wasn't too sure of the idea. What if they got caught doing it?

"We're not assassins." Carol stated, her features morphed into a frown. Glenn stood and walked over to Michonne,

"You know where his apartment is," His voice dropped down to a whisper, "You and I could end this tonight. I'll do it myself." Michonne sighed, thinking about his offer before nodding slightly in agreement.

"Ok." Glenn nodded back.

"He didn't know you were coming last time, and look what happened. You were almost killed. Daryl was captured. And you and Maggie were almost executed." Addy frowned slightly at Hershel's words, feeling some people's eyes on her when her father was mentioned. Also because Glenn and Maggie were almost executed? What kind of operation did they have going on down there?

"You can't stop me." Glenn was adamant in getting his own way.

"Rick would never allow this."

"You really think he's in any position to make that choice?" Addy respected Glenn, but she didn't think he was being completely rational. After all, he probably just wanted revenge on the governor for what he did to Maggie.

"Think this through clearly," Hershel told the younger man, "T-Dog lost his life here. Lori, too. The men that were here. It isn't worth any more killing," Hershel continued, "What are we waiting for? If he's really on his way, we should be out of here by now."

"And go where?" Glenn scoffed.

"We lived on the road all winter."

"Back when you had two legs and we didn't have a baby crying for walkers every four hours." Addy felt Carl tense from beside her.

"We can't stay here." Hershel insisted.

"We can't run." Just as Glenn said those words, Maggie walked out of the common area and up the cell block stairs. Glenn sighed,

"Alright. We'll stay put," Addy felt an ounce of relief flood through her, "We're gonna defend this place. We're making a stand."

The Korean man crouched in front of the two kids again, pointing on the chalk map, "Carl, Addy and I will go down to the tombs. We need to figure out where the breach is."

"You got it." Carl nodded, Addy doing the same.

"You'll need some help." Michonne stepped forward.

"No, In case anything happens, I need you up here," Glenn looked around them for a moment before sighing, "Who's on watch?"

"Damn it."

"Too many were outside the boiler room, we're overrun again." Glenn told everyone as the three entered into the common room.

"That whole section had been cleared!" Beth said as she closed she gate that separated them from the tombs.

"There's a steady stream of walkers." Carl said, nodding at the brunette beside him to make sure she was okay.

"We're wasting time," Hershel chided, "The governors supposedly on the way, and we're stuck in her with walkers."

"Trapped between a rock and a hard place." Carol commented.

"For the last time, running is not an option." Addy pulled at the tight riot gear that covered her torso, if she had known it would be that uncomfortable she wouldn't have gone.

"Glenn, if the tombs have filled up again, it may just be a matter of time before they push in here." Carol sided with Hershel.

"Or until some fence gives way." Beth added. Addy wiped a splatter of Walker blood from her freckled cheek.

"What if one of them herds is passing through? We're settled." Axel asked.

"We can't handle that with just a few of us."

"Ok," Glenn sighed, trying his hardest to come up with a decent plan, "Alright. We — we just need to scout the far side of the prison. Find out what's going on."

"You're going out there?" Hershel asked, skeptical.

"I'll take a car, make it quick."

"I'll drive." Axel quickly offered, eager to help the Korean man.

"No, you stay here. Help with the fortifications. I'll take Maggie."

"You sure she's up for that?" Hershel asked. Ever since her and Glenn were taken by the governor and his group she hadn't been the same. Addy couldn't blame her. Glenn sighed and walked off, leaving the rest of the group in the silent common room.

................................................................

"Do you think he'll come back?" The question itself wasn't a sad one, but the crack in Addy's voice made it seem as though it was. Carol pursed her lips and sighed.

"Of course he will, he'll be fine."

Addy looked up at the woman, squinting in the sun but offering her a small smile. Carol smiled back kindly, wrapping an arm around the girl's shoulder and rubbing her arm comfortingly. Addy leaned in to the woman's touch, happy that someone was there for her.

Footsteps on concrete sounded behind the pair, but Addy didn't need to turn around to know who it was. Carol gave an inviting smile to Axel as he stopped beside them,

"Stress is gettin' your man Rick."

"Can you blame him?" Carol didn't take her eyes off of the trees outside the prison fences.

"Nah, not at all. In here, I seen plenty of dudes crack, even ones tougher than your old man," At this, Addy looked up at the blonde man to see him smiling her. She gave him a small one back.

"Not me," Axel continued, "I got on better on the inside. Things made more sense, you know? There are rules. Life was more simple." Addy frowned, if anything, life now was much more complicated and harder than it was before.

Carol seemed to agree as she frowned, turning her head to look at the blonde man beside her, "Don't you miss your brother?"

"My brother?" Axel chuckled, "No. Hell, no. He had a real money problem."

"What kind of problem?" Carol asked.

"He didn't lend me any."

The three chuckled, and for one sweet moment, Addy forgot where she was, and what the group was preparing for.

However, that one sweet moment ended when a bullet embedded itself into Axel's skull.
