《GOOD wife》19. Blue Roses

Finally.
I walked around my little greenhouse and smiled. It is done. I have done it… Alone. And it is mine. No one can claim it. It is my work. My achievement.
I looked at the pots of Pink carnations which symbolizes a mother's pure and never-ending love..... For Jamie. They are small, just like Jamie. They will grow just like Jamie is growing every day. And, for Cherish, I am planting blue roses which symbolizes uniqueness and wonder.
A lawn of Pink Carnation is not possible now, but there will be something better for my baby as well as Cherish. I will make sure.
Taking off my muddy boots, I walked back into the house and found Norma and Jamie flying dinosaurs. I smiled at the sight and went to bathe before joining them.
“You should try a bubble bath,” Norma said when we were eating.
“Nah, I am good.” I laughed and helped Norma to clean.
Daniel is not home and Norma decided to eat with us. It helps when she is around. The loneliness mocks me. No matter how hard, I try, I always see James and his mistress every day on the news.
Trina taught me one thing that, always seeking conclusive evidence for the conclusion. She clarifies her uneasiness and showed me various pictures on the internet. I was satisfied that they are friends. And it is nothing but misunderstandings. But, what I heard in the office is reality. They were together. Maybe not romantically, but they were involved physically.
The thought of Dr Harrington in my husband's bed ignite the fire in me. I would love to punish her, but that's not my job. It's god. I know he will make things right. Whatever happens, it happens for a reason. So, my focus is my children and maybe in the future, I could have a civil conversation With the father of my children. He needs to behave like a human if he wants to be around them.
His sinister smile, mocking eyes still haunt me when I tried to rebel against his inhuman and insulting ways. He was disrespecting our marriage, his vows. He promised me love and respect, but I was awarded with the opposite.

“This is sin.” I cried and pushed him. “God will punish you.”
“I am your God.” He managed to cage me in his arms and locked the door.
“Please, let me go,” I begged, but I was dragged by James to the bed.
No.
He will tie me.
“Help me,” I screamed on top of my voice, but no one came.
“Scream.” James slapped me.
Crying in agony, I screamed. But nothing happened. No one even knocked on the door. Where is the staff? Where is the humanity?
“Help me.” I bawled as I was aware of James anger.
“Soundproof technology..... Woman.” James punched me.
“It pains.” I managed to mumble with a broken nose.
“Your pain has nothing to with the agreement,” James growled and tore my dress.
“It's hurting.” I sobbed when I felt him entering into my sensitive parts.
“You will be habitual of me.” He snuggled into my neck. He is heavy, and he is using his complete weight to stop me from moving.
“Stop….” He covers my mouth when tried to speak. Then he increased his pounding. In… Out.....
“Willa.” He grunted while implanting his seed into my womb.
“I am not Willa,” I said amidst my hiccups.
“And you be never.” He got off from me like I am soiled and zipped his pants. “Your pussy is still tight. It's a good fuck.” He said and left.
I felt used, cheap. Filthy. I tried to cover my thighs with the remains of my dress and cried in pain.
I could feel the blood on my thighs, but I didn't get up, and lay there, waiting for sleep to consume me.
“Wife…” James?
“I will try to get back as soon as possible,” I whispered and looked around, offering my apologies to the surrounding readers.
I find it interesting… A mixture of library and store. Who is the owner here?
Searching a few books, I managed to get a few extra books… For Jamie. I wouldn't call him intelligent or smart for his age. My baby is just like other kids of his age, curious, wants to know everything. He asks so many questions in his baby in a day that it gives me a headache. Soon, his schooling will start, and he will deny my touch on his silky dark hairs which are just like James.

“Do you need anything else?” A lady in her office attire asked.
Maybe she works here.
“I need that picture encyclopedia,” I said meekly.
Raising her eyebrows, she looked amused. She looked around and whispered back like a secret, “We don't sell that.”
“Isn't it a book store?” I questioned back.
“Yes… It is. And this is feedback. I will make sure we stock that up.” She smiled politely.
“Are you the owner?” I asked her.
“Yes… I am Katelyn Rossi. Any other feedback.” She was humbled.
We chatted a little before I received a call from an unknown number. It was concerning as no one has this contact number of mine. Only Brown and Jacobson couple. And this number belong to none of them.
After Katelyn Rossi left, I realized who was she. The businesswoman. The symbol of an independent woman.
Feeling failed, another realization hit me, I am not even graduated. How I am going to teach my children the basics of independence when I need a monthly allowance from their father.
Norma said I should take whatever James is offering. Being a selfish mother, I wanted more for my kids… Their financial security. But I realize that my kids don't need financial security, they need a confident mother.
Dropping the plan to hire a lawyer, I decided to stay quiet about the existence of Jamie. Norma was right, James would take him away, not because he is rich, but the real reason is that I am weak. I am giving the chance To James to take Jamie away from me.
This will never happen.
Jamie is mine. Cherish is mine. That home is mine. And I will get my car. No one will ever stop me. Not even James carter. Being a moneymaker doesn't make him powerful. He is still alone, grieving the death of Willa and Malcolm. Now, I pity that man. He has two wonderful kids, yet he is crying over that one kid who would never want his father to cry because of him.
I walked back home… To Jamie, my home, that I will decorate it. For some reason, I still believe that cherish will join us, and will meet her baby brother. The look on her beautiful face… Will be out of the world. Both of my kids will look wonderful.
Jamie was sleeping when I reached home. So, after, I sat on my porch and dreamt of my dream house. This will be my dream house. No sad memory. No James. Only one thing will resonate in my home… Joy, the laughter of my kids.
I am not obsessed with my kids, but I was assured that James would love me after having kids. My life would be better. I held that hope for a long time that it became my possession. Now, giving up that hope is consuming my sanity. I need to shift my focus on me and my kids… Because James is nothing but a drunk man who knows nothing about having two kids because that man is obsessed with his previous kid who may be dying again and again seeing his father in this condition.
I am sorry, Malcolm.
That poor kid. He was wonderful, and I will make sure Jamie knows about their elder brother as well as the mother of their elder brother. I am not trying to make Jamie or Cherish jealous, but my motto is that they had a brother who would have loved them. If he was alive.
Both soul deserves respect, And what James is doing is disrespectful to them. He is destroying his presence in the name of Willa and Malcolm. This is so disrespectful.
I was walking back when I noticed some on the road. He was watching me. I know the person is he. His silhouette is clearly defining this body. He is sitting on the bonnet and looking towards me. Who is he?
I ran inside the house and looked towards him through the window. I was a little relieved because of the boundary, but he managed to get inside this area.
This person is shamelessly looking towards the house, Who is he?
