Taking the lungful of air, I continue to watch the pair of mother-son along with the weird breed of a puppy, crossing the road. They both are unaware of the eyes at them.

Daniel is still eying his daughter and grandson. Although, there Brown couple clearly mentioned that Anna is not their daughter, but I could feel that the couple loves her with no condition. And, Jamie… Oh, God! Ryan is fond of him. I guess that's how friend for life acts when they meet the first time. I should give the credit to the bonding genes that the boys inherited from their parents. Jamie from his mother and Ryan from his father.

At first sight, Ryan and Jamie were not happiest when they meet the first time. It took them a while to get along, until Zippy. Zippy appeared, wagging his little tail, and BOOM… Magic. The trio became inseparable.

Anna and George are best friends. So, Jamie and Ryan is reasonable, even though Ryan is a little older… My son is almost 2. While Jamie looks like 1 and a half.

I heaved another sigh when I noticed my brother watching at them from afar. He is here to drop Ryan. I was capable of bringing my son with me, but Ryan was being Fussy and Theo helped as George left for a breakfast meeting.

My brother visited me this morning as George left for work early. He knows, Ryan is a handful sometimes. So being my helping hand, Theo took my son to mom and now, Ryan is back because my son wanted to see his best friend.

Looking at the scenery, I smiled. Jamie and Ryan glowed up. They run towards each other and hugged like they haven't seen each other for years. While Anna was busy looking for the boys. But unfortunately, my brother was busy gawking at Anna.

After his so-called heartbreak, he has been single. My beloved brother is in his late 30s. He will be 40 in the next 2 years. Yet, he is not ready to settle down. And, after many years, I am noticing my brother taking interest in a married woman.

Well!!! That's not the issue. I trust my brother's charm. He can charm anyone, but why choose the wife of a man who controls money. Theo is inviting chaos.

I know, he wants to know Anna, but I am hoping it's just curiosity and nothing else. Anna appears like a mystery, like she has buried so many things inside her. Her eyes don't shine, except she sees the boys or George.

Even though I decided not to mention to my husband about my qualms, but I can't help myself so, I did search for James Carter online. Surprisingly, no one knows about his secret family… The family in front of me — Anna, Cherish, and Jamie. It is assumed that the Carter daughter, Cherish Carter, is the daughter of Anastasia Harrington and James Carter. But again, this is all rumours. Anna is in front of me, with Jamie, while Cherish is in boarding school and James is busy in making money.

George knows something is not right about Anna and her family. The moneymaker lives without security. Impossible. I know Rogers security working for James Carter. Anna is safe.

I had no option but to wait for Anna to enter the shop with the boys and Zippy because my brother is allergic to roses, so he will not enter. He gets rashes and itchy hives. We learned it late, and that's why I dropped out of my Floristry program. I don't regret it. I am a floral designer now.

“I will get a friend for you as well.” I heard an old voice entering the shop.

Rushing to the gate, I remembered I removed the bell from the door last day. I was cleaning while Anna was busy explaining the new hired staff. Even though they are temporary, but I am planning to hire them. It was a huge help. I didn't realize that I need help until Anna came into my life. I can't do everything by myself.

“See, your mom is here.” I looked at Daniel and the boys. Ryan looked a little angry while Jamie was holding Zippy in his little chubby arms.

Jamie is surely a chubby baby. His toothy grin and his innocent heart will win anyone. He passed Zippy to Ryan and patted yawning Zippy.

“Your son wants Zippy,” Daniel spoke.

“We can adopt another puppy.” I cooed Ryan.

“Oh… No. Please.” Anna interrupted. “Zippy is happy with Ryan.”

“What about Jamie?” I asked.

“We will adopt another puppy.” She answered.

“We can do the same. Don't give Zippy a separation anxiety.”

“But Ryan….” She stopped when she looked at me and Daniel.

“Did you ask Jamie? Does he want to give his buddy to another person? Does Zippy was someone else as his mommy and Jamie?” I asked her. “Zippy is your baby too. Stop imposing your decision on them.” I added with politeness.

“I just wanted Ryan to be happy.” Anna mumbled.

“Then let him learn to accept a few of harsh reality.” I tried to be calm. I don't want her to feel offended. “This is life. And, life has ups and down.”

“Anna, she is right. We cannot give our children everything.” Daniel said.

Nodding, Anna walked inside and took out the things out of the pram to settle the boys and Zippy. She had everything, from a water bottle to Matt, from zippy's toys to his treats.

Anna is always ready, I guess.

“Can we talk?” Daniel asked me.

“Yeah, sure.”

“Why your brother didn't enter here?” He looked at Anna. I am sure he doesn't want Anna to hear our upcoming conversation.

“Because he is allergic to rose.”

“Good.....” He nodded. “And, what is his intention for my daughter?”

“Your daughter?” I was confused. “Norma said she doesn't have a daughter.”

“Anna.....” He clarified. “She is my daughter. Blood or not.” He looked at Anna again. “I don't like his eyes on my daughter.” He is so protective of Anna.

I laughed. “Anna is a beautiful woman. And don't worry, I will talk to him. He doesn't know she is married.”

He gave me an intense look before asking. “And what about you? I remember your drama when George was outside the office of Carter looking for her. You accused your husband of cheating.”

“George loves me. And he loves his sister as well. Since she is not blood, I misunderstood the situation. I feel guilty — now. She knows her boundary. I am such a fool.” I laughed at myself. Anna is sweet, she would never do such things to anyone. But what I saw last night was heartbreaking.

I saw James kissing the Harrington heiress. I wasn't convinced, so again I looked at various articles. He wasn't kissing her. The video was shot in such a way that it appeared he kissed her. But, in reality, he mumbled something in her ear and she turned her head towards his face to continue the conversation.

I hate this situation now. The whole scene was falsified. Nothing happened. Poor Anna.

“Ask your brother to stay away from her. I don't like men who have issues.” Daniel was about to leave.

“What do you mean?” I followed him.

“You know what I am talking about. What happened to his last client?” His words left me speechless. Did he just mention Theo's last client? How did he know that? It's been years.

“How do you know that?” I managed to ask, but Daniel left, without looking back.
