《My halfbie - GwinamXreader》Chapter 7

The next day goes by without anything happening as we just spent most of it lying in bed deciding wether we should get up or not. At one point there was a zombie growling on the other side of the door but neither of us wanted to leave the warmth of the bed to make it leave so it just chilled outside for a little. Eventually the zombie gave up obviously since it couldn't hear us anyway.
"Hey what's the time" I hear Gwi nam asks while sitting up and leaning against the wall. "I'm not sure let me check my watch, oh wait I don't have one" I say sarcastically while raising my wrist to him. "Wow you're so helpful" he says back and I push myself up and lean against the other wall so I could see him properly. "I know thanks" I joke as he sends me a little glare. I send him an air kiss to keep annoying him as he just sighs and slouches back. "You shouldn't do that you know" he says as I pull the blanket over my feet.
(I refuse to accept that any one of you sleep with shoes on so fuck off deal with the plot hole)
"Do what I'm just joking around" I say happily while I keep looking at him. "Send people kisses and joke about saying I love you, some people will get the wrong idea" he says as I nod. "You're right I should go make sure the zombies understand I'm joking" I say seriously as he sighs and looks over unimpressed. "You know I mean people people and not half people or whatever" he says before turning away again and shaking his head slightly.
"If you honestly need the time my phones next to my shoes" I say as he stays still for a moment. "Everything alright" I ask since he seemed really concentrated on something. After a moment I can hear a faint sound of a drum from somewhere. I look around the room as if that would help while I keep listening to make sure I wasn't just imagining things. "Hey where are you going" I say quickly as Gwi nam gets up and heads over to the door. "I heard something is all and wanted to check it out, stay here because the zombies will be drawn to the noise" he says before walking out before I can say a word.
I feel the silence of the room suffocate me the moment he disappeared from view since I didn't want to be left on my own again. I grab the end of sleeves on the jacket and pull the over my hands while tucking my legs inside the jacket. As time goes by I eventually burry my head into the top of the jacket to the best of my abilities as I take in the familiar scent. I hug my legs closer as I keep trying to stay calm while the silence engulfs me.
After a while the faint sound of drumming disappears so I look up from the jacket wondering what was happening. I feel like my chest was shrinking by the second as I couldn't stop all the worrying thoughts about what was happening. Maybe the zombies changed and attacked Gwi nam. What if he's dead and I'm just sitting here doing nothing. I might never see him again. I miss him. He's only been gone for a couple minutes but I miss him. I have no idea what's going on out there and if he's safe. Oh god what if he really doesn't come back.

Before my thoughts can consume me I hear a noise growing louder by the second. The sound doesn't stop so I get up and go over to the window to try and see what was making the noise. When I look out I see part of a helicopter above the school. "HEY WE'RE HERE, HEY" I try to shout on hopes that anyone on the roof would hear but all my screams were drowned out by the noise from the vehicle. I quickly rush back over to the bed and pull on my shoes and grab my phone before running out into the corridor.
I quickly head to the stairs without caring if there were zombies since this might be the only chance we have to escape. I almost get to the top but find a massive horde of zombies all crowding on the stairs trying to get to the roof. Maybe there were people on the roof that they heard. I stay still for a second before one zombie starts turning around so I turn down the corridor and get into the first room I could. It was empty in here, probably because all the zombies were by the stairs.
I hold the door closed just in case any zombies saw me and tried to follow but I don't hear any scratching sounds from the other side of the door. All I can do is stay in the room as the zombies keep trying to get to the roof. Time drifts by as I just sit against the door holding it closed while waiting for the growling noises to disappear. I heard a bunch of different noises coming from the stairs but can't keep listening since the fire alarm went off and water started spraying from the ceiling.
I flinch at the sudden noise from the fire alarm but calm down once I realised what it was. Even though it wasn't a zombie the idea of the fire alarm going off didn't make me feel much better. Thoughts start flooding in again as I try to just concentrate on the situation but I can't help but end up overthinking. What if there's a fire in the school. I hope the water sprinklers will put the flames out since I'm higher up now so I could get trapped in school because of the flames. I wonder if the zombies would burn or would they just become walking torches.
That's one thing to make them worse I guess. Fire zombies chasing you would be worse than normal zombies right. I don't know, none of it makes sense. I rub my temple slightly as I snap out of it after realising the growling from outside had stopped. I wait a little before getting up and looking out the window. I see a figure walking down the stairs but don't bother staying standing up to see what it was. I duck back down for now as I listen to the footsteps drag along the floor while going down the stairs.
I stay frozen for a minute or two before glancing outside again to see if there was anything there. After making sure it was alright I slide open the door and go over to the stairs. I climb them slowly making sure not to make a noise as I get to the roof door. I grab the door handle and try to open the door to find it sealed shut. I step back and look at the door to see a few dents in the metal. I debate going back to the nurse's office so I could find Gwi nam again but before I can go back I can hear a voice from the other side of the door.

It was a faint voice but it was definitely there. It sounded like more than one person as well. I stare at the door for a moment before look down at the stairs. I go down the stairs slightly since there was a large blue sheet on the floor for some reason. I pick it up slowly and pull it up until I could tie it up to hopefully hold the zombies back. I glance over the banisters to see if there were any zombies nearby.
Once I was sure there weren't any zombies nearby I go back to the door and try to listen to the voices. I make sure they were people and not zombies before knocking slightly on the door. I couldn't bring myself to knock loudly since there was a fear of zombies hearing and imagine how stupid it would be if there weren't people there. I knock quietly again as I hear a small growling sound from the stairs.
I bite the inside of my cheek as I decide to just try and hope they could help me. I start pounding on the door roughly as I look back while I can see some zombies crowding around. "HEY OPEN THE DOOR" I yell while banging on the door as I hear some zombies clawing at the sheet. "Ah come on PLEASE OPEN THE DOOR" I yell again as I start quickly losing hope for someone to open the door.
I look back as I can see the sheet start slipping loose. It was still managing to hold all the zombies back for now but I didn't know how long that would last. "Please" I croak out as I want to cry but hold back tears since there was no point. "This was a really bad idea, I'm sorry Gwi nam" I say to myself as I let out a bitter laugh while I see half of the sheet come loose and zombies start fighting to get up the stairs. "At least I won't need to worry about grades" I say to myself and shake my head while smiling sadly.
I watch as the zombies get up most of the stairs so they were only half a flight of stairs away now. I go to lean back against the door but before I can I hear a sound of a doorknob shaking. I turn back as I watch the door swing open. I don't waste time looking who was there instead I rush through the door and slam it closed behind me. I let out a shaky sigh as I just stare at the door that was now sealed shut. I can hear the sound of nails scraping against the door and low growls as the zombies try and get onto the roof.
"Y/n" I hear someone question as I finally look over at the person that opened the door. "Oh my god Woojin" I say while looking over at the boy that was standing there in shock. I go to thank him for opening the door but before I can get any words out he pulls me over and hugs me. I was taken back for a moment but hug him back since it was nice to see him alive. "You're alive" he says after stepping back slightly and cupping my face as if to check if I were really there. "Surprisingly still alive, it's good to see you" I say while taking it in that one of my friends were here still alive.
Before zombies and all that end of the world stuff me and Woojin were close friends. It was mainly because of his sister to be honest, she caught my eye when I saw the archery team practicing. I got to know her and then she introduced me to Woojin since we were in the same year and he hadn't really settled in yet. "OI WOOJIN WHO WAS IT" a voice yells as I feel slightly confused. "Ah ye, other survivors and that" he says while stepping out the way as I can see a large ish group of people.
"That makes more sense, didn't think you could survive on your own" I say as I look over the group and see some familiar faces. "Wow an insult already thanks" he says as Onjo sees me and runs over before jumping onto me. "Y/n I thought you were dead" she says while clinging onto me. "I wouldn't die that easily, you should know that" I say while smiling as I hug her back tightly as I enjoy her company. "Who's this" another girl asks as I look over at her and recognise her quickly.
The only reason I remembered her face was because of Suhyeok's massive crush on her. The heart eyes he had for this girl was on another level. I remember when I first realised he had a crush on her as well it was so funny. He got all flustered and went so red when I asked him about it. I'll be honest he's not the greatest liar. "Hold on what if p/p's been bitten" some guy pipes up as Cheongsan comes over and rubs my shoulder while giving me a smile.
"Come on give the p/g (preferred gender) a break they just got all the way up here on their own" Onjo says while clinging onto my hand tightly. "We don't know anything p/p could turn at any moment" another girl pipes up as I can tell Woojin gets annoyed by this. "It's fine, Onjo can check me or Prez or both if you really want" I say since I wanted to catch up with Onjo and Prez was reliable so they might trust her. Some seem hesitant for a moment but agree that it would be fine so we go over a corner away from them as Onjo starts looking over my arms and legs for any bites.

Keter
They called him "Keter"; The Top-Most; The Crown. An unsurpassable, unstoppable, unkillable soldier. Etched with a twisted set of morals and studded by an impossible drive for lachesism, Keter terrorized the world for ages. But time, you see, is a most patient thing. As sure as it gives, so does it take. Even the Crown saw the eternal spindle drawing on him. He blinked, for the last time, and saw a world anew. Synopsis. So, basically, I’ve gotten tired of all these stale mcs that keep popping up left right and center. Either they are painstakingly good-natured or horribly written ‘evil’ characters. So, here’s my take on the concept of a Villain. Someone ruthless, cunning, and not shy of seeking darker means to an end. Hell, as long as it’s effective, he’ll prefer the blacker side of business. The new world will be, like many others, one in a medieval-type setting with traces of magic and the like; though I hope to make better use of this than most others who simply steal ideas from classical novels or other sources.

Using an ancient teleportation spell, he and his siblings were sucked into a portal leading to God-knows-where. In a foreign place far from home, Luz carries the burden of disobeying his ancestors and losing his younger brothers. He sets off to reunite his siblings and slay the dragon that destroyed their village while only being equipped with one useless space spell that drains all his mana after one usage. Author's note: English isn't my first language and this is the first novel I tried writing, which is why some of the earlier chapters aren't that good, even though I grew better over time. I'm still in the phase of editing a lot of my earlier chapters. But unfortunately, I haven't yet found any time for it. Daily updates are to be expected till we reach chapter 100. If your comment motivates me, I might upload up to five chapters.^^
