《Long Story Short, The Condom Broke ✔️》My Story ( Part 2) ✔️

I look at Liam's friends standing in front of me. I'm probably going bat shit crazy at the moment. Threatening someone who just shot a man with a baseball bat? Not my smartest move.
" The truth about what Liam?" I demand, raising the baseball bat a little higher to put enthusiasm on my words.
" Everly put down the bat."
I sigh as his words ring through my ears. I should've just tried to escape while they were busy planning my murder or something. They seemed pretty focused until I decided to open my mouth and threaten them. I'm just asking to get killer, aren't I?
" The truth Liam." I demand a little more sternly.
" Everly." he pleads, trying to calm me down as he takes a step closer. He halts in his step as I lift the bat higher. If I lift the bat more higher I might hit a light bulb instead of an attacker. I should have attended those self defense classes mom wanted me to go to.
" Why did you kill an innocent man?" I decide to skip past everything and put it straightforward.
He goes quiet. He turns around to look at the others. They all look away, pretending that they are busy. He turns back and rolls his eyes. I can just read the expression on his face. What great friends they are eh.
" He is not that innocent as you think Everly."
Not that innocent? He still murdered him in cold blood! He didn't even hesitate to shoot him. He's probably planning something worse for me at this very given moment.
" Innocent or not, you killed a man that had a family who needs to be provided for. You killed a husband and a dad. No one put you in charge of who dies and who gets to live from what I remeber."
Liam looks irritated at the end of my speach.
" He was a former gang member of another gang. He got kicked out because of his lack of loyalty and then we took him in as a runner. He was doing drug deliveries and 'lost' a shit load of drugs that cost me a lot of money. He promised to pay it back but he never got that far. "
He's part of a gang? Yes you idiot. I shake the thought out of my head and focus my attention on what is happening right now.

" So you just killed him because he owed you money? The lack of humanity you have is really amazing. I would be ashamed if I were you. "
He looks stunned at what I had to say. I can't help but let a tear slip out. I still can't get over the fact that I saw a man get killed and I couldn't do anything about it. The way Liam's lifeless eyes looked into mine and then pulled the trigger, would haunt me forever.
" When you are a gang leader you can't be a softy." he says flatly.
Oh so not only is he in a gang but he is a gang leader? As in the mafia? Damn he's only a senior in high school and he runs a gang? The most exciting thing I do is having an avengers marathon once in a blue moon. Besides from being pregnant my conscious just had to add.
" Can't be a softy? Lord forbid Liam Wells of ever having a little bit of humanity left!"
He bites on his teeth. I can clearly see that he is getting pissed off. And me pressing his buttons the whole time ain't helping. I might as well start digging my own grave.
" You don't understand Everly! "He yells which immediately makes me jump.
" Then make me understand!"
He looks up, clearly trying to calm down. I know I'm pushing his buttons twice as hard now but I need answers and I need them now. I befriended a gang leader, a murder. Fantastic.
He takes a few more minutes to recollect his thoughts. He turns around to his friends, which are staring at us with shock. They probably haven't seen anyone stand up to him like the way I have or they are just shocked at how I'm just begging to get killed. Liam nods his head towards the door and they immediately disappear out of the kitchen.
Oh no. This is the part where he is probably going to kill me. Then chop my body parts up and feed it to the dog. I don't remember seeing a dog though. Maybe he'll adopt a dog and then feed my flesh to it. Dear Lord have mercy.
" I'm not gonna kill you."
" I wasn't thinking that at all." I shrug it off.
He only chuckles. Only for a minute but then his face turns hard. No emotion what so ever. He sighs and turns around to sit on a chair. I do the same and take a seat next to him.

" A few months ago my father was murdered. "
His eyes turns soft at the memory of his father. I saw the headline in an article about his father's death. I didn't read into it because I didn't think much of it. Thought he died in a car crash or something. Only reason why they would have put it as a headline was because he was a very wealthy man. I didn't know that he was murdered.
" He and my uncle were part of one of the most dangerous gangs there could be. is what they called themselves. They weren't just part of the gang, they ruled over the gang. My grandfather was the previous leader and decided to give the gang up for his two sons. My uncle was younger so that meant he had less responsibility and ownership. He wasn't happy with it at all. So he did the only thing he could to get to the top. And that was to get my father out of the picture. "
I hold in my breath. Too stunned to let it out. His uncle killed his own brother? How messed up can this world get?
" My uncle framed me for the murder of my father and everyone believed him because of my relationship with my father. We weren't the best of friends. That and all evidence led up to me looking guilty. I was supposed to go to juvie because I'm still a minor but my uncle being the sick bastard he is managed to pull a few strings to get me in jail. While I was in jail I met another gang that were on the verge of falling apart. They weren't very fond of my uncle either. So they decided to team up with me and get me out of jail. A few weeks later I was released. My mother didn't want anything to do with me because she still blames me for her husband's death and therefore kicked me out. With no choice I began to form my gang. The guys that got me got me out prison were soon released after I pulled a few strings with the connections I had of my father's gang without my uncle knowing. They never liked my uncle but did as he told them to because they were afraid of him.
"I wanted a gang that would stand by me and my decisions. A gang that would fight for what's right but with that comes a big responsibility. It takes time to earn a gang's trust and with that trust I had to be ruthless. Show no emotion. Have no fear. I knew a few people and they knew people and that's how the D&D's gang started. You only know about my inner circle but I have people spread across this planet, doing drug deliveries, handling prostitution, shipments and just overall see that everything gets done. My profession is to seek revenge for the death of my father and the only way to do that is to kill the man that took his life but I can't do that alone. So with the help of a few people outside the gang we train my members. That's why I need to be heartless when it comes to betrayal Everly. I have no choice. "
He looks out of breath after he told me everything. How his dad died and how he was blamed for it. I can't imagine what that must feel like. He had to do what he did and I understand but it doesn't mean I'm okay with it.
I understand the drugs but prostitution? That's just wrong. I shiver at the thought. Liam had the chance to kill me as soon as I saw him kill Ronald but he didn't. That must go for something right?
I put down the baseball bat and stand up. Pushing the prostitution to the back of my mind I release a breath that I was holding in.
Liam looks confused as he too stands up.
I wrap my arms around him and just hold him. He tenses up and doesn't immediately hug me back but after a few seconds of forcing the hug, he hugs back.
I'm holding a boy that lost his father when he needed him the most. I'm holding a man that needs light in his life. I'm holding a guy that doesn't know any better than to lead a gang with no emotion. I'm holding a soul who has pain and seeks comfort.
" I'm here for you." I whisper.
