"So why didn't you guys give Ares your last name" Zyria asked Knox as she chewed on some fries. They were laid out on the blanket Knox put down over the grass.

Knox cleared his throat before answering "The Stone last name is our father's . When our dad was with us it was great to have his last name. Then he started beating us and our mom, we both just felt like it was a burden to have the Stone last name. So Dakota decided to not have Ares bare his last name and gave her our mother's maiden last name."

Zyria looked at him in shock and Knox looked away shrugging "Once Dakota turns eighteen, we both are going to the court house and going to try and get our last names changed" He added and Zyria nodded.

"I'm sorry you had to go through that" Zyria mumbled and Knox nodded.

"Is your mom okay?" Zyria asked him and He chuckled.

"Well seeing how he hurt her so bad that she had to go in the hospital and then slowly die in there because her injuries to her head from him pushing her down the stairs when she was pregnant with my little sibling, no I would say that she is not okay" Knox said darkly as he clenched his fists gritting his teeth.

"Oh my god" Zyria said and Knox rolled his eyes before biting into his burger.

"It's okay though because I got him back for everything he did. I wish I killed him but I definitely beat him enough to want to die then called 911 to send his ass to jail" Knox mumbled and Zyria looked down at her food unable to find the words to say.

"Knox-"

"Can we just change the subject" he said cutting her off and she looked at him before nodding.

"Um yeah of course" Zyria said as she ate the last of her fries.

There was a long awkward silence as both of them ate their food not knowing what to say especially Zyria.

"Ah! the fuck" Knox screamed suddenly and Zyria looked at him to see him hitting his leg repeatedly.

"What's wrong?" Zyria asked as she moved closer.

"Stupid ass bug" he said and Zyria looked at him before laughing loudly. Knox looked at her with a frown on his face.

"You screamed because a tiny little bug was crawling on you" Zyria said and Knox glared at her as she continued to laugh loudly before coughing. Knox smiled and chuckled as Zyria began coughing loudly. He patted her back laughing as she continued to cough.

"That's what you get for laughing at me" Knox said as Zyria finished laughing. She rolled her eyes and glared at him playfully.

"Oh shut up" Zyria said and Knox smiled sipping some of the milkshake.

"I should have asked for two straws" Knox said and Zyria nodded taking a sip of the milkshake. She laid back on the blanket and looked up at the stars.

"You know sometimes I wish I lived in the country so that I could see more stars in the sky" Zyria said with a small sigh.

"That would be good but then it would smell like cow shit" Knox said laying back next to her and Zyria busted out laughing as she held her stomach. Knox looked at her and smiled.

"Not all of the country is just farm land you dumb ass" She said in between her laughs. Knox shrugged and looked back up at the sky.

"True but I'm sure at least eighty percent of it is" He said and Zyria looked over at him smiling. There was a bit of a peaceful silence and Knox looked over at Zyria who was just looking at him in a daze.

"What" Knox mumbled as he smiled looking into her eyes. Zyria's smile grew with a small blush before she shook her head and shrugged looking away.

"Nothing" she whispered softly as she bit her lip. She looked back over at him and he sent her a smile causing her to smile again as well.

"You are really handsome" She mumbled and Knox took her hand kissing it softly.

"And you are really beautiful Zyria." He leaned over to peck her lips and Zyria bit her lip.

"The most beautiful girl I ever seen" he mumbled softly and Zyria rolled on her back as he leaned over kissing her lips softly. She held his face in her hands as she returned the kiss getting lost in the feel of lips.

"Knox" she whispered against his lips and he made a "hm" sound as he kissed down her neck.

"Yes baby?" He whispered in her ear and Zyria gasped softly as he kissed her ear softly and raised his head up out of her neck to look at her.

Zyria looked at how chains and necklace dangled in her face as he looked at her. She smiled and pulled his head back down kissing him again.

Her hands found itself way under his sweatshirt and Knox chuckled grabbing her hands, stopping her.

"As much as I like where this is going, I know you aren't entirely ready for that baby" He said looking at her as she frowned.

"Don't worry baby we have all of the time in the world for that" he said and pecked her lips before laying back down on the blanket where he was before. Zyria looked at him and grabbed her now semi cold apple pie.

"You make me nervous eat" She said and Knox laughed as she stood up biting into her apple pie.

"I'm sorry mamas" He said as he smiled at her. Zyria rolled her eyes and he sent her a wink making her blush and turn away.

"Come on baby let's get you home" Knox said looking at the time. He rose from the ground and began packing up all of the trash while Zyria shook the blanket and folded it up.
