"Okay what's going on with Dakota because for the past two weeks she has been ignoring me and not coming to school" Kaia said to Zyria who was sitting in the cafeteria eating red Doritos.

"I don't know Kaia" Zyria sighed and looked at her best friend who was frowning and wore saddened eyes.

"Did I do something wrong?"Kaia asked and Zyria quickly shook her head.

"No Kai you didn't do anything wrong" A

She replied and side hugged her best friend. Zyria took a look around the cafeteria table seeing Hunter and Jada's spot were empty because they were with Dakota.

"Then what's going on Zyria and don't say that you don't know because I know that you know something" Kaia said turning around Zyria waiting for an answer.

"Kaia that's not my place to talk about it so if you want answer I suggest you go talk to your girlfriend" Zyria said and got up leaving the cafeteria quickly. She stared down at her phone sighing.

"Knox please just talk to me" Zyria yelled after Knox as she grabbed his arm stopping him from leaving.

"Why! Why should I talk to you Zyria!? You want me to talk to you about my death nephew who was just buried today or do you want me to talk about how my sister couldn't even bring herself to let go of Ares' casket so that he could be lowered into the ground" Knox screamed as his voice began to crack. Zyria's eyes teared up with salty tears as she shook her head looking at the ground.

"I-I" Zyria started but Knox sighed stepping away from her.

"Just leave me alone Zyria" Knox said before leaving her house quickly.

"Hey you coming?" Kaia said to Zyria causing her to jump out of her thoughts. She frowned and nodded.

"Didn't even hear the bell ring" she mumbled quietly to herself as she followed Kaia to their next class.

"Dakota! I know that you're in there open up" Kaia yelled as she banged on Dakota's front door. She sighed loudly and looked down at her shoes before looking back at the door.

"Dakot-" The door quickly opened to reveal a shirtless pissed off Knox who glared down at Kaia.

"Stop banging on our door Kaia" Knox said harshly and Kaia nodded quickly as she bit her lip.

"I just wanted to-"

"See Dakota yeah I heard you the first three times. She's in her room" Knox said cutting Kaia off as he stepped aside letting her in.

"Thanks" Kaia said before walking past Knox and down the hallway toward Dakota's room. She knocked softly before opening the door slowly peeking her head in.

"Dakota?" She mumbled softly as she walked inside the bed room.

Dakota's room was painted dark blue with broken led lights stretched across the walls. She had a twin sized bed with dark purple sheets on top of it. Her room was fairly tiny but fit Dakota nicely.

"Go away" Dakota mumbled to Kaia who just now noticed the small human form of Dakota laying under the black and white Paris blanket that Kai bought her last month.

"I wanted to see you and make sure that you were okay" Kaia said stepping further into the room.

"I'm fine" Dakota said nonchalantly as she stared at the blanket she was wrapped under.

"Dako-"

"Kaia I said I'm fine now leave me alone" Dakota groaned out as she threw the blanket off her. Her eyes glared toward Kaia and her hands created small fists as she clenched them around the blanket.

Kaia frowned as she stared into Dakota's eyes. Her eyes were very dull and she had a lot of bags under her eyes. She looked a lot skinner and didn't seem like she had changed clothes or taken a shower in a few days.

"You say that but I'm looking at something opposite to what you are saying" Kaia mumbled and Dakota sighed rolling her eyes.

"Just go Kaia" Dakota said before pulling the blanket back over her face and turning to face the wall next to her bed.

"Dako-"

"LEAVE" She screamed as she grabbed the nearest object and threw it in the direction of Kaia. Kaia's eyes widened as a book hit her in her face. She winced and held her nose rubbing it softly before glaring at Dakota who was still facing the wall.

"Fine" She mumbled and cleared her throat before leaving the room; closing the door behind her.

"How did it go? Bad I'm guessing" Knox said, who was sitting on the kitchen counter, as Kaia entered the kitchen.

"How am I suppose to help her if she doesn't want my help nor tells what the fuck is going on" Kaia said frustrated as she grabbed some ice for her nose. Knox rolled his eyes and looked through his phone pretending that she wasn't there.

"Like can you tell me what's happening please" Kaia said turning toward Knox who scoffed as he mumbles to himself.

"Whats happening is that you are not wanted in this house yet your presence is still here" Knox said looking at Kaia who frowned at his statement.

"Asshole" Kaia mumbled throwing her bag of ice at him before exiting the kitchen quickly. She opened the front door and left heading to her car.

Kaia smirked and put her phone away before taking another glance at Knox and Dakota's house in front of her. She sighed and started her car before pulling out of the driveway.
