"Girl why are you so tired today?" Dakota asked Zyria who had her head on Knox's shoulder slowly closing her eyes.

"I was up until like two in the morning" Zyria mumbled before yawning.

"Doing what?" Hunter asked her and Zyria glanced at Knox not knowing if he wanted her to tell them that they were talking and eating at the diner.

"None of your business Hunt" Zyria said and Hunter smiled before shaking his head.

"Well anyway Kai what's up with you?" Jada asked her nudging her shoulder a little bit. Kaia has been zoned out all through lunch barely eating as she stared at the table thinking.

"Huh" Kaia mumbled looking at Jaida who laughed.

"You okay?" She asked and Kaia nodded repeatedly before looking down at the table.

Zyria glanced at Dakota who was looking at Kaia in concern before sighing. She turned her attention to Hunter who started to share some jokes he learned.

"I have to go talk to my teacher I'll be back later" Kaia said suddenly getting up quickly before hurrying out of the cafeteria.

"Damn what did you do Dakota" Hunter asked her and Dakota frowned confused.

"I didn't do anything" Dakota replied before eating a fry.

"It's not what you did but what you didn't do" Zyria said before getting up from the table. Dakota quickly got up and Zyria walked out the cafeteria with Dakota behind her.

"What are you talking about?" Dakota asked her as she grabbed her arm stopping her.

"Do you like Kaia" Zyria asked her and Dakota frowned biting her lip as she looked away.

"I don't know" she mumbled and Zyria shook her head.

"You don't know or you are too afraid to admit it to yourself" Zyria asked her and Dakota sighed.

"I do like her but I don't want to get rejected" She mumbled looking at Zyria.

"Kaia likes you too Dakota you aren't going to get rejected" Zyria exclaimed as she smiled.

"But both of you need to stop being scared and just go for it" Zyria added and turned to leave heading to her next class which was actually just a free period.

She decided to go outside. It was a little cold but Zyria had on a red sweatshirt with some black jeans. She walked outside and went to her usual tree before sitting down. She got out her book that she was reading.

"So Knox what's going with you and Zyria" Hunter asked his best friend as they walked through the halls to their next class.

"Nothing" Knox said shrugging before stopping at his locker to grab his pack of m&ms.

"Really so y'all stay out until two in the morning last night for no reason" Hunter smirked as he leaned against the locker.

"What? No we didn't why would you think that?" Knox asked him as he frowned.

"Zyria said she was up until two something this morning and you came back to your house at two something as well." Hunter mumbled before Knox glared at him.

"How do you know when I got home Hunter" He asked and Hunter smiled.

"Jada wanted to scare you and Dakota so we used the key you gave me and was going to scare you guys but then you came home so we had to run." Hunter said and Knox blank stared him before shaking his head.

"I don't know why I'm friends with you honestly" he sighed and walked into their Spanish class.

"Because I'm the best" Hunter rolling his eyes as he sat down next to Knox.

"So do you like her" Hunter asked him and Knox looked at him.

"Who?"

"Zyria you idiot" Hunter said and Knox rolled his eyes.

"No" he said and Hunter smiled shaking his head.

"I feel like that's a lie" he mumbled before turning toward the teacher who began teaching.

"Kaia!" Dakota yelled hurrying to Kaia who was talking with Zyria after school. Kaia frowned and turned to Dakota who huffed out of breath.

"Can I talk to you" She asked and Kaia bit her lip before nodding. Zyria smiled and walked away to give them some space to talk.

She hopes they will get together.

"Hey" Knox said as he walked up to Zyria who turned around to face him and smiled.

"Hello grumpy pants" She said and he rolled his eyes at her name for him.

"What you going to do?" He asked her and she bit her lip as she thought about it.

"Honestly I don't know I might just watch some shows on Netflix and eat some food" Zyria said shrugging.

"Zaire is having a party tonight so actually no I might go to Kaia's house to get away from the party" She added and Knox nodded before looking away.

"Well I was thinking maybe we could hang out" Knox said and her eyes widened at his words.

"Wowwwww Knox Stone actually wants to hang out with me" Zyria dramatic self said as she smiled.

Knox opened his mouth to reply before getting cut off by someone jumping on him. Zyria took a step back as her eyes widened at that sight.

"Knox!" A girl with black wavy hair said with a big smile on her face. She was on his back with her legs wrapped around him.

"Octavia!" Knox said surprised as she got off his back. He turned to her and hugged her tight as she laughed embracing his hug.

"Hey Knox missed me?" She said and he smiled at her.

Zyria stood there awkwardly biting her lip as she tried to figure out what was going on.

"What are you doing here?" He asked Octavia and she smiled.

"Well my dad got a promotion and we moved so boom I'm here" She said and Knox's smile grew bigger.

"OCTAVIA" Someone screamed and Zyria looked to see that Dakota was running to the girl with a big smile on her face.

"DAKOTA" Octavia screamed before Dakota jumped into her arms hugging her tight.

"I missed you so much!" exclaimed Dakota.

"I missed you more baby" Octavia replied as they held on to each other tightly.

"Who's she" Zyria whispered to Kaia when she stood beside her. Kaia shrugged and sighed.
