Raelynn's pov:
I reached the mansion and I parked my car in my usual spot. I grabbed my phone before stepping out of my car, walking to the front entrance. Jim and Thomas were standing there talking to each other and they both shifted their gaze to me as I walked up to them.
Jim crossed his arms on his chest.
"Good morning," Thomas smiled at me.
"Good morning," I greeted him back.
"How are you feeling?" Jim inquired cautiously.
"I'm feeling great," I replied honestly.
Jim raised an eyebrow, not believing me."Really?"
"Why wouldn't she be feeling great?" Thomas asked Jim.
"Exactly, why wouldn't I?" I asked Jim too.
"Geez no need to gang up on me... I thought that you would be pissed after the fight yesterday. Especially at Jessica who is in town right now." Jim explained.
Honestly, she wasn't even on my mind. I was angry at her but right now I don't care about her.
"As long as she stays away from me, we'll be good," I told Jim.
"Nice fight by the way, it was amazing. You weren't impressed by my fighting skill but I sure was." Thomas smiled.
"That's exactly why she's your boss, so stop flirting," Jim stated making Thomas glare at him.
"Ok boys, I need to go. See you around." I said before I walked by them to the main lounge. In these past few days, these two became buddies and knowing them, they will end up fighting with each other about who can flirt better.
As I walked to my office, everyone greeted me and I greeted them back. They were all looking at me with a different gaze today like they seemed to be proud or was it admiration? I can't tell what's going on in their minds...

I opened the door and found Ryker and Jace sitting at their usual spot. Ryker was behind the desk while Jace was on the couch playing with his tennis ball.
"Hey,"
"Hello bros," I greeted them. Jace abruptly stops and throws the ball at me, not liking the nickname. Luckily I was able to catch it in my palm.
"Mate, not bro," Jace noted.
"Whatever bro," I smirk.
He glared at me.
"You seemed to be in a good mood," Ryker commented.
I furrowed my eyebrows, "Why is everyone saying that?"
"I thought that you would be pissed at Jessica but you seem... happy." Ryker elaborated.
"I don't care about her," I told him.
I threw the tennis back at Jace before walking to my leather chair.
"Alright then... Jace and I will be out for the day, we need to go and finish a work with a gang." Ryker informed me.
"Okay, have fun."
---
It was now 2 p.m and I was still in the office. My phone vibrated and I reached to pick it up from the table.
How's your day going?-K.
It was a message from Kyson.
So far, boring. What about yours?-R
His reply was quick.
I'm exhausted and I wish it was related to my mafia work-K.
I typed,
Erica?-R
Yeah, I'm so done with her-K
Why is she still there?-R
Apparently the North Mafia is looking for her and her dad wants me to keep her here for her safety.-K
Who is her dad?-R
Pierre Castro-K
Wait a minute.
Castro? I heard of this surname before. I think it was a mission that Ryker and I took months ago. Since I had the computer to myself, I quickly log in to the reports that Ryker and I do after each mission.

I typed the name Castro and only one file popped up. I read the file and indeed it was Pierre Castro. He had ask someone to hack dad's computer to get all the details and information on his weapons. Ryker and I took good care of him and we never heard about him again.
Until today.
Was the north mafia really looking for Erica or was this a set-up?
I log out of the documents and went to find the number of the North Mafia. Once I found it, I called him.
"Hello," a voice came through.
"Hi, I'm Raelynn from the Rebel twin." I started.
"I'm Jesse. How can I help you?" He inquired.
"I'm actually looking for a girl named Erica Castro. She was last seen around your area and I was wondering if you have any information on her." I lied.
"Castro? I only know Pierre Castro. He's quite a thief, so beware of him." He answered.
"Yes, it's her father," I added.
"I didn't even know that he has a daughter. I wish I could have helped you more but I don't have any information on her." Jesse explained.
"It's alright, thank you."
We both hang up.
So the north mafia wasn't looking for Erica.
Why would Erica insist to stay at Kyson's mansion?
Knowing Pierre's history of hacking systems, this was the first reason that came to my mind. What if she's trying to get into his computer to get his information?
But I can be wrong.
Once again, I log in to my computer and went to search for her name in our mafia profile book. This website enables us to find information on specific people involved in the mafia.
I typed Erica Castro and a profile popped up. However, it was securely locked. I leaned back in my chair thinking of a possible way to get into this profile. I can't try it by myself because if I mess up she will get notified that I try to break into her profile.
I need help...
But who can-Oh my.
I know the person who can hack this.
I pick up my phone and called Jim. He picks up at the first ring.
"Hmm yes?" He answered.
"Send me Ian, quick," I said before hanging up.
Lone wolf... we recently recruited him and on his survey, he mentioned that he can easily hack anything, anywhere.
He's the perfect man for this.
I waited for five minutes before there was a knock on the door.
"Come in," I said loudly.
The door opened and he walked inside.
"Yes ma'am?" He talked.
"Please call me Raelynn." I said, "And I need your help to hack something."

The Blood Core
Amara has been having a rough couple of weeks. Unwittingly committing tax fraud can do that to a person. Now forced to "enjoy" house arrest until her court date, she ends up playing a Virtual Reality Dive Game that she hasn't touched in over three years. Logging in was easy enough, she just had to sit down in her Dive Chair. The complications came after that when her character seemingly broke the game. Now she is a dungeon core of all things! With no way to contact other players or the Game Masters, she has to find a way to get out of the game in time for her court date. She'd rather not go to prison for a long time. Maxwell had decided that he had just wasted the last five months of his life on a path that would never work for him in life. Deciding to just give up on the finals, he loads up the new game he just bought for the exams. He didn't expect to end up trapped inside like all the shows he'd seen in his youth. It didn't help that his character was basically on Hardcore mode being a Dark Elf Village Leader in the middle of a human supremacy kingdom that went in every direction for hundreds of leagues. Without knowing how dying might affect him, he steels himself to grow his village into the new power in the area. Of course, that's easier said than done when a blood-thirsty dungeon appears to be on a warpath with everything in the area.
