Raelynn's pov:

Tonight was the Charity Event night.

I was getting ready at home while Ryker was at the mansion. We were the only ones who got invited as we were both representing dad at the event. There was no mafia involved, just businessmen and normal entrepreneurs who do monthly charities.

Dad was one of them, now both Ryker and I do it.

I didn't have a dress for tonight so I had to go with Cassandra to the mall to get one. She also bought one for herself as she will be joining us there to represent her dad.

I straightened my hair after a long time, did my make-up, and put on some perfume before putting my heels on. I let my hair flow on my back like always.

Not gonna lie, it took a long time to straighten them and a lot more time to get ready.

I grabbed my phone, keys and purse before walking out to my car. I then drove to the venue. Ryker told me that he would wait for me in the parking lot as he didn't want to go inside alone.

The drive was around thirty minutes and I was lucky that there was no traffic as I was already late. I parked in the parking lot before I called Ryker to know where he was.

"I'm still in my car. I'll walk to the front door, meet me there."

"Okay,"

I hang up and unbuckled my seatbelt. I grabbed my purse and stepped out of the car. Then, I made my way to the front door where Ryker was standing, waiting for me.

"Are you kidding me?" Ryker deadpanned when he saw my outfit.

"Ugh," I groaned.

Unknowingly, we ended up matching our outfit's colours again. That happened a lot of times before and unwantingly we end up twinning. He was wearing a beige suit, the same green colour shirt as my dress and beige pants.

"Too late to change now," I pointed out.

"Yayy, we will be twinning tonight," Ryker commented sarcastically.

He put his arm forward and I reached to wrap mine around his. We both made our way inside. There was a suited guy who was welcoming everyone in front of the hall. He handshake Ryker before giving me a nod, with a smile.

"Enjoy the night,"

We walked past him and my eyes landed on the people, it was crowded and noisy. The decoration was fancy. Everything was white and silver, there were balloons, and sparkling silver flowers on the table and the tablecloth was white with silver designs.

We walked to one of the tables and sat down. One of the waiters gave us each a glass of champagne. Ryker kept glancing at the front door while sipping on the champagne.

I chuckled, "Someone is impatient to see Natalie."

His gaze shifted to me, "We are not even sure if she's coming."

"Be patience then,"

He rolled his eyes.

Fifteen minutes later, Cassandra joined us. My uncle's driver drove her here and he'll come back later to pick her up.

"Hello people I love," she hugged me before going to Ryker. I hugged her back but Ryker only patted her back before lightly pushing her away.

"You are messing my suit," Ryker spoke.

"Rude," Cassandra stated.

"Don't care,"

Cassandra grabbed her champagne and sat with us at the table.

"What did I miss?" She asked us as she looked around.

"Nothing... still as boring as the last times," I answered. Everyone was in their groups talking, there was no entertainment and they didn't serve the food yet.

"Couldn't they add some music this year? Like all the couples could have a dance."

"Yeah," Ryker agreed with her.

We looked around while talking about random stuff and casual things while waiting for dinner to be served.

"They are here," Cassandra suddenly said, her eyes fixed on someone behind me. Ryker snapped his head toward the door and I could see his eyes slightly widen. I turned around and my eyes landed on Kyson.

He looks so hot and handsome.

He was wearing a white shirt with a black vest and a velvet black suit. His tie was a shiny black tie and his hair was in a tight bun.

His eyes landed on me and he just stared.

However, my eyes shifted to the lady beside him, clinging to his arm. She was gorgeous, she has piercing blue eyes which made my hazel eyes look so dull next to her. Her blond hair was in a wavy beach curl, going perfectly with her curves.

Even her dress was pretty. It was sparkling white, knee level and it fit her well. The front has a long 'V' opening at her chest which stopped below her boobs.

I suddenly felt an unexplainable feeling in my stomach, it didn't feel good.

"Hi,"

It was Theodore who talked first. I shifted my gaze to him and that's when I noticed Natalie and Valentino.

Theodore and Valentino looked annoyed for some reason while Natalie was behind Theodore, holding his arm. I glanced back at Kyson, who was still staring and he had no expression on his face. However, the lady beside him look happy, contented and she was smiley.

I looked away.

There was anger growing inside of me and it wasn't because of Kyson or the lady but I was rather angry at myself.

Why did I let my walls down so quickly?

Just because he kissed me and I like it!?

Ugh!!

I clenched my fist under the table.

The guy handshake while Natalie walked closer to Cassandra and me.

"Hi," she said shyly.

"Hi," both Cassandra and I greeted her.

"I'm Cassandra, Ryker and Raelynn's, cousin." Cassandra introduced herself.

"Nice to meet you, I'm Natalie, Theo's sister."

"Nice to meet you too." Cassandra smiled.

"Join us," I heard Ryker say.

This wasn't bad but what I didn't expect was the lady to sit beside me and Kyson sat beside her.
