Raelynn's pov:
For the next two days, I had to accompany dad to Italy. We both went to a black market where dad sold some weapons and bought a few antique ones for his personal collection.
I went to many black markets before with Ryker but this one was weirder. I noticed that the sellers talk in code to other sellers whenever a client that looks rich approaches them. They shared mysterious looks before saying the price of the things that they were buying.
All the sellers there looked scary and dangerous with piercing all over their faces and tattoos all over their bodies.
Ryker didn't come with us as he had to stay to supervise the training of the newbies. Once they had their first lesson, Ryker send them on a mission to test them. Surprisingly, all of them succeeded on the first try.
Right now I was back in the office.
I was behind the desk, chilling on my leather chair while Jace was on the couch laying on his back as he repeatedly throw a tennis ball in the air before catching it in his palm.
He was waiting for Ryker to come while I was waiting for the clock to reach 2 p.m so that I could leave and go meet Cassandra at our local coffee shop.
"One day, it will land on your face," I commented.
He caught the tennis ball in his hand and tilt his head to look at me, "So now you care about me?"
"Not really, but I will feel bad for the ball," I said with a smirk.
He raised an eyebrow before he quickly sat down, reaching behind him to get a pillow. Before I could understand what was happening, I felt the pillow hitting my face.

I gasped, holding the pillow."You did not just do that."
"Well, we are even now." He pointed out.
"Oh no, I don't think so."
I stand up making him quite alarmed. I walked to the other couches and got a hold of the other pillows.
He chuckled nervously, "Are we going to build a pillow fort."
I grabbed the first one, aimed and shot right on his face with all the force I could put in. There were 5 more pillows so without giving him the chance to recover, I shot every one.
"Oie, you gotta stop!"
"Damn woman!"
"Fucking stop!"
"Now we are even," I stated at the last throw.
The door opened and Ryker walked in. He was about to talk but once his eyes landed on us, he stopped and gave us a questioning look.
His shoulder dropped, "You both did a pillow fight without me!?"
"Next time I get beaten to death by your sister, I'll call you," Jace said sarcastically.
I scoffed at his dramatic explanation, "I didn't beat you to death."
"Say that to the bruises forming," he dramatically pointed at his face.
"Awww, did I hurt you, little baby? Does the boo boo hurt?" I said in a tone as if I was talking to a toddler. He glared at me while Ryker laughed.
"Ok enough now, Jace let's go. We have work to complete." Ryker told Jace.
Jace stood up, pulling his t-shirt down. He gave me a mischieve look as he walked in front of me, "You know what I forgive you."
"I didn't apologise." I reminded him.
Instead of replying to me, he reached to ruffle my hair making me shriek, "JACE!"
Before I could catch him, he run past Ryker and went outside. Ryker smiled before waving at me and closing the door.

Ugh!
I run my finger through my hair like a comb before grabbing my keys. It was already time to go meet Cassandra at the coffee shop.
I made my way downstairs to my car.
The drive to the coffee shop was quick. I parked in the parking lot before stepping out. I made my way inside and looked around for her.
As usual, she was sitting by the windows.
The owner, Seth, and one of Ryker's friends were sitting in front of her talking to her. Seth knows about us and he was cool about it.
He always makes us the best coffee and snack.
I approached them.
"Hello, people,"
They both looked at me and smiled.
"Hey,"
"Hello... looking gorgeous as always." Seth complimented with a smile.

"Thank you," I smiled.
He stood up, gesturing for me to sit down.
"I'll bring you your usual coffee." He said and I nodded.
I sat down. Cassandra turned her laptop sideways so that she could see me and her laptop at the same time.
"So, tell me. How was your trip to Italy?" She asked excitedly.
"It was boring. I only went to the market, did our work and came back." I answered.
She pouted, "That sucks."
"I know."
"Anyway, what did you do?" I asked her.
"Same daily stuff... selling antique things to old people. Oh and a handsome man came to the antique boutique, he looked around but didn't buy anything." Cassandra spoke.
Oh.
"Now that's a sane person." I pointed out.
Cassandra rolled her eyes, "Then why did he even come to the antique boutique?"
Good question, why did he come in?
"How did he look like?" I asked curiously.
"Hmm, tall, handsome, he was wearing a leather jacket, a brown t-shirt, black jeans..." she listed off as she recall him.
"Any tattoo?" I asked.
"Nope, I mean I didn't have time to look at him closely." She replied.
Hmm, maybe I'm just overthinking this...
"Anyway, I was buying a few earings-not antique- and those are what I like so far." I chuckled when she precised the 'not antique' part.
I looked at her online shopping cart and not gonna lie, I love a few of the earnings.
"Do you want to buy some?" She asked me.
"Ok, but I'm paying you," I stated.
"Sure,"
For the next 15 minutes, I went through the different sets and looked for what I wanted. Seth walked back with two black coffee and a snack for us. We thanked him before checking out from the online shop.
