When y/n was 13, her mother was diagnosed with stage 3 terminal cancer. Her mother knew she wasn't going to survive and she only had a year or less to live. Y/n struggled to accept the fact that her mother was dying. They spent every minute together. Her father loved her and her mother and did everything he could for them. When y/n turned 14 her mother passed away, leaving her and her father. She was in a really bad mental state and tried taking her life. After a while y/n and her father grew closer then they had ever been before and her mental health started to slowly get better. He knew that giving y/n freedom to do what she wanted was best as long as she was safe and happy. Y/n and her father (Andrew) had an amazing relationship and she felt like she could tell him everything, He supported her decisions and was proud of her. Y/n found a passion in acting and starting playing roles in tv commercials and a few small shows. She wanted to take her acting career further. Just after y/n turned 15, her and her father moved to Atlanta, Georgia so that they could move on. It was hard for them to move and leave everything behind including her friends but they knew it was best. When they had finally moved they felt more freedom and slowly started to move on with their lives.

I was scrolling through instagram when I saw euphoria posted something.

'This could be the next stage of my acting career' I thought to myself. I'd never watched euphoria but I've heard heaps of my old friends from back in California talk about it. It sounded good. I took another look at the post and sent a dm to euphoria.

- hello, my names y/n y/l/n. I am 15 years old and I'd love to audition for the role of Ashtray's love interest in the new season. I have acted in a few tv commercials and a few small tv shows but I think I'm ready for something bigger. kind regards y/n :)

The chances of them replying were quite low as I hadn't had a heap of experience but I mean, it was worth a try? I went downstairs to go show my dad the post and what I sent. "Looks good honey, I don't know why they wouldn't say yes. You're amazing," he said pulling me in for a hug. "awww thanks dad, but they are a really big show so my chances are pretty low." "let me know when they reply," he said smiling. I went back upstairs and sat on my bed. I decided that it would be good to start watching euphoria. I turned on the first episode of season 1 and started watching. It was really good so far. I was 10 mins in when I saw ashtray popup talking to rue. He had face tats, buzz cut and an eyebrow slit. He was wearing a white singlet, gold chain and a grey and yellow puffer jacket. "aww he's so young." The first season was only filmed 2 years ago but he looked so much younger than the post on instagram. I kept watching, really enjoying the show. I was on episode 2 when my phone vibrated. I picked It up to see that euphoria had responded to my dm. "oh my fucking god your kidding." I was squealing. I opened the dm and read what they had said.

- hi y/n. We have researched some of the shows and ads you were in. They were amazing and you look so talented. We would love to offer you an audition for the role. You seem like such a nice and genuine girl and we would love to get to know you. We are still looking at some other people but will soon let you know who you will be up against for the role :)

I was screaming on the inside and sprinted downstairs to tell my dad. "DAD! I GOT AN AUDITION!" I screamed. His face lit up and he pulled me in for a tight hug, lifting me off the ground. "I told you honey! I'm so proud of you." I showed him all the messages and we talked about the show. After us talking for a while I went back upstairs to go finish watching some of euphoria.

"DINNER TIME DARLING!" dad yelled from downstairs. "coming!" I had just finished episode 4 and I loved it so much. It was so addictive I couldn't stop watching. I went downstairs and sat at the table talking with my dad. My dad and I could talk for hours without getting bored or running out of things to talk about. I loved having such a close relationship with my father like that. After eating dinner I went back upstairs to continue watching euphoria.

I was now up to episode 8, the last episode which lowkey left me with a few tears. I looked at my phone and saw that the time was 1am. I should probably get to sleep. It was the start of summer holidays so luckily I didn't have school tomorrow. I turned over and got comfy under my blankets and soon drifted off to sleep.

I woke up to my phone ringing. I groaned and saw that it was my friend Hayley, from California calling. "what do you want Hayley," I said groaning as she had woken me up. "YOU DIDN'T TELL ME YOU WERE AUDITIONING FOR EUPHORIA!?" she screamed into the phone. "what how do you know?" "have you not seen euphoria's instagram?" "no I just fucking woke up." "It's literally 12pm. anyways, go check now!" she squealed. "okay I love you Hay." "I love you to y/n." I hung up the phone and saw that I had heaps of instagram notifications. I opened the app to see that there was now 10k people following me. "omg what the fuck!" I opened my dm's to see that euphoria had sent me a message.

- Congrats y/n! You and one other girl your age have been finally selected to audition for the role of Ashtray's love interest. Could you please send through you and your dad's emails so that we can check that everything is okay with him? We will send you an audition script and will let you know when the auditions are. They will be held in LA so we will send you and your dad out here in a few days once we get his confirmation. So glad to have you audition :)

I then went onto euphoria's profile to see 2 new posts. One of me and another girl my age. She was really pretty. I thought that until I read the comments.

"God. She really didn't choose to be nice" I scoffed. I replied to some comments and then opened my dm's to see a group chat called euphoric and shit.

I can't believe the cast of euphoria is being so nice to me right now. I clicked on Javon's account and starting scrolling through his posts. "wow. he's fine as fuck." I went downstairs and told my dad everything. He seemed really happy for me and told me that Sam Levinson had emailed him and now everything was set. "He said he will send us plane tickets to fly out to LA in 3 days." I couldn't believe this was happening so fast.
