"atsumu!"
"what?"
atsumu came back into the house carrying four year old emika in his arms.
"wheres daiki's jacket?" you asked and opened up the closet.
"he's hiding it." atsumu grinned at his son who had a mischievous look on his face.
"we've raised a mini version of you." you groaned and walked over to daiki. "you wanna go outside and play in the snow?"
"yes."
"then go get your jacket. june and kiyo should be over soon." you patted daiki's head as he ran off to his room in a hurry.
emika patted atsumu's shoulder to be let down and ran off after her brother.
"aren't gin and ayame coming over too?" atsumu asked and wrapped you in his arms.
"yup. and their kid."
"him?" atsumu whined. "he hangs out with emika too much."
"they're just kids pretty boy. relax."
"so?"
"she hates him." you stated the obvious.
"ever heard of enemies to lovers? we hated each other once."
"did we really?"
the doorbell rung and then rung again twice. you went over to let osamu, suna, june, and kiyo in.
"good morning!" seven year old june wrapped her arms around your waist before hugging atsumu.
"good morning." kiyo yawned and rubbed his eyes. "we're here too early. they made me get up at eight." kiyo told you.
"poor kid. the kids woke us up at eight." you ruffled kiyo's hair and we went to find his younger cousins.
"uncle samu and suna!" emika ran out of her room and towards the family of four, not before tripping on the carpet on her way causing her to fall.
"she inherited her mom's gracefulness." atsumu commented and picked up his daughter who was rubbing her forehead.
"dad tells me to blame mom everything i fall over." emika said and reached over for her uncles.
"smart." suna nodded and lifted emika into the air. "hey kiddo, guess who's coming over."
"don't say it." emika already knew the answer.
"your lovely boyfriend ginjima keniji!" osamu answered and emika let out a heavy sigh.
"he's not my boyfriend and i don't like him." she crossed her arms.
"i don't like him either." atsumu agreed and you smacked his head.
"let's go to the backyard!" june said and grabbed daiki's hand to lead him outside.
"hi miya!" the new addition to the group shouted causing all eight people in the house to turn around when they heard their name.
"kenji, don't forget to be specific when you ask for a miya. there's eight of them now, not just two." gin reminded his five year old son.
"oh! i forgot, but i'll rememeber now!" kenji nodded and scanned the room, looking for one person. "emika."
"no!" emika ran to atsumu who picked her up protectively.
"get away from my daughter kenji." atsumu glared at the child and you sighed.
"i'll throw a volleyball at your face!" emika looked down at the boy who still had a smile on his face.
"how romantic." kenji said and went to find a volleyball. emika and atsumu stared after him with the same confused look on their faces.

"i have no idea how he turned out like that." ayame said and watched as her son walked off. "it's not from me, that's all i know."
"we'll gin did spend most of third year chasing after you." you reminded her and fixed the hat on daiki's head.
"i did no such thing!" gin spun around and defended himself.
"you did. you would always run up to me and ask where's ayame before running off to see her." you said and thought back at it.
"snitch."
"i think it's cute," ayame said and kissed her husband's cheek.
"you didn't think it was cute when you rejected him twice." you bought up and gin glared at her.
"i got her in the end didn't i?" gin wrapped his arm around ayame. you turned and walked over to your own husband.
"remember ems, don't talk to him, don't look at him, and if you can hit him with the volleyball." atsumu set his daughter back down and emika nodded in understandment.
"ems! i found a volleyball!" kenji came running with the volleyball in his hands.
"don't call me ems. only my dad and daiki can call me that!" emika huffed.
"then what do you call her?" osamu asked.
"mika of course. what else?"
"ems! you broke rule one and two!" atsumu gasped and emika's eyes widened in realization.
"i can't talk to you anymore." emika looked down at the ground and walked away. "not that i wanted to anyway."
"it's okay! i'll talk to you and you can listen."
"i don't want to hear you talk."
kenji ignored that and started telling her about how excited he was for christmas and how he hoped santa got him a toy piano since he heard that emika loved the sound of the piano.
"she definitely got y/n's personality." osamu said as he watched the scene.
"of course she did. daiki got atsumu's so it's only fair." you felt a pair of hands on your waist, turning you to the side.
"zip up sunshine. can't have you freezing out here." atsumu pulled the zipper up and took his hat off to put it on your head.
"ew." suna broke the moment and you both turned to glare at him.
"you don't hear us saying that when you and osamu get all cozy." you brushed the snow off a chair and sat down.
"no we do actually. hard not to when you're practically screaming at us. both of you actually." suna leaned against the wall of the house and watched his kids.
"this is relaxing." osamu sighed and sat down in the chair next to where suna was standing.
"just throw the kids into the backyard and they'll waste all their energy and will be out like a light in a few hours." you said and leaned your head on atsumu's shoulder.
ayame was talking with you and osamu while suna, gin, and atsumu went off to play with the kids.
atsumu more to keep an eye on kenji.
"kenji tells me everything. like everything." ayame said. "a complete momma's boy if you ask me."

"kiyo clings onto suna. still! i thought that was just a habit his younger self had, but he stills holds onto suna when we go to meet people." osamu looked over at kiyo and suna who were throwing snowballs at each other.
"and june loves to cook with me. she just sits on the counter and i hand her stuff to put into the bowl." osamu's gaze then flickered over to his daughter who was pushing daiki on the swing.
"what about your twins?" ayame asked.
"daiki is pretty calm. loves looking at himself in the mirror. it's the atsumu part of him. he also wants to play volleyball and atsumu loves bringing him to practice with him. hinata and bokuto adore him and i saw sakusa giving him a high five the other day."
"and emika, well, atsumu completely hogs emika for himself and he even made a list of things she isn't allowed to do! before you say anything. do consider more than half the list is no kenji and don't talk to kenji. i think you see where i'm going."
"you should hear how much kenji talks about emika. mum can we go visit ems today? and daiki too of course." ayame mocked her son's voice.
"you guys wanna make a bet?" you asked.
"oh god no." osamu said, but then reconsidered. "okay fine."
"are we even gonna remember this bet?" ayame asked and looked between the two of you.
"as long as i get my money i'll be fine." you shrugged.
"who says you're getting the money?" osamu leaned forward and asked you. "i bet they get together after high school."
"this is so weird." ayame laughed. "but in their second year."
"third year." you bet and wrote everyone's prediction down. "now we wait around ten years and see."
"mum!" kenji screamed and ran over to ayame. "guess what happened?"
"what happened?" ayame asked with slightly amusement in her eyes.
"ems hit me with a volleyball! but do you know where she hit me? of course you don't. she hit the volleyball right here!" kenji pointed at his chest.
"so your chest..?" osamu asked, not knowing what was so special.
"no! right above my heart." kenji shot osamu a confused look.
"ken, your heart is on the other side." you helped him out and kenji quickly moved his hand over.
"right there! my heart was beating more than usual, but that's fine!" kenji said proudly and you and osamu nearly burst out laughing.
"i think she did a great job." atsumu walked over and placed a kiss on your forehead.
"what's happening over there?" osamu asked when he saw suna and gin running away from the four children.
"kiyo bought up burying suna in the sand when you guys went to the beach and my amazing son came up with the idea of burying them in the snow." atsumu explained. "i escaped, now hide me."
"that sounds like fun!" kenji gave his mother a kiss on the cheek before running off.
"oh yeah. definitely a momma's boy." osamu nodded.
"we team up and bully gin all the time." ayame moved over when atsumu crouched down next to you to hide himself.
"poor gin." you said as kiyo and daiki tackled him to the snow.
june and emika were running after suna and kenji was in front of suna causing him to be trapped.
"this might be a good time to tell you that snow isn't the same as sand!" gin shouted when piles of snow were thrown onto him.
"we already know that." june said and threw snow onto her dad.
emika was trying to scoop up a load of snow, but she slipped and fell next to suna who captured her in his arms and started tickling her.
june was in her own world, still putting the snow into her dad while kenji was looking between the snow and emika.
"no! i ha- that tickles! uncle suna!" emika was laughing and shouting at the same time.
"you want help?" kenji asked.
"not from yo- no! yes!"
"i heard a no and yes. which one will that be, clumsy?"
"don't call me clumsy!"
"too late. still need my help?"
"fine!" kenji grabbed emika's hands and suna let go to her.
kenji thought suna was gonna keep his hold on her so he pulled emika up with all his might causing them to tumble to the ground.
"ginjima kenji!" atsumu stood up, but you pulled him back down.
emika stood up right away and looked down at the boy on the ground. "help, i've fallen and can't get up."
"i raised him so well." ginjima wiped a fake tear from his eye before a bunch of snow was throw onto his face by daiki.
"you're like a grandpa." emika said and debated on whether she should help him. "old and ugly. oh no, i just insulted all grandpas by comparing them with you."
"it's a mini y/n." suna said to gin since they were being buried together in the snow.
"no shi-" gin glanced over at daiki and kiyo. "obviously. it's her kid."
"you almost cussed in front of children." suna said. "i'm telling y/n you almost cussed in front of her four year old.
"i'm pretty sure the two of them have cussed in front of their kids before." gin pointed out.
"i want to say something, but i can't because there's kids surrounded us." suna said while kiyo and daiki continued putting snow on them.
😟
"just continue watching." gin said and looked over at the two kids.
"help a poor boy out here." kenji held his arms out and emika narrowed her eyes before pulling him up.
"thank you, clumsy."
"don't talk to me, gramps."
"a new generation, new set of nicknames." you whispered to atsumu who was looking at you with a fond smile.
"we're the originals though."
"that we are."
