"Tsukishima's awake" you wipe the few tears you have as you sit down right next to his side. You put your hand in his. "I'm here"

Your fingers interlock as the middle blocker's eyes open slightly. The first actual movement.... baffling you.

"Akiteru..." Tsukishima eyes trace across the room.

"It speaks!"

His eyes shift to you. "Who.... are you?"

"W-What?"

"Do I know you?"

"I-Its me, (Name)..?" Your heart beats seem to pound louder and louder.

could he have really forgotten you?

"I don't recall...."

His face surely looks like it....

You feel your face heating up as your eyes become misty. "You're kidding, right?"

"Yeah" the boy turns his head to the window.

It takes you a few moments to process his words. "Wait.... HEY!"

Tsukishima starts chuckling as you pout.

"If its going to be like that I'll just leave" you stand up

"How are you going to do that while holding my hand?" the corner of his mouth lifts as he raises your interlocked hands. Your face turns red quickly as you try to think of a comeback.

The doctor rushes in with your sister. "I'm sorry miss, I have to ask you to leave so I can run tests on him."

"I understand" you feel Tsukishima's grip on your hand tighten slightly. You smile, "Ill be back after, don't miss me too much"

"Says you" he smirks as your face flushes, again.

"I'll be leaving now" you puff out your cheeks in slight anger as you make your way out to the waiting area. You smile sitting down, feeling as if things have never changed.

Sadly, it doesn't work like that. Theres so much that needs to happen for things to be considered normal again.

What felt like forever (in actuality, 2 days), doctors run multiple tests on Tsukishima, checking his vitals and memory, everything checking out.

"(Name), do you know what you're going to do about Misawa?" Yamaguchi asks as you two stand outside the hospital, awaiting the middle blocker's release.

"Actually, yeah." You clear your throat. "I told him to come here to talk..."

"When..."

"Uh... now" speaking of the devil, Misawa walks up to you and your freckled friend with his hands in his pockets.

"(Name).." he begins.

"Not here."

Only the sound of gravel is heard as you Misawa and you walk to the side of the building.

"Okay. Talk."

"I'm glad to know Tsukishima woke up..."

"After you threw him out the window"

"He started the fight (Name)! He—"

"I know why he did it though" you glare.

The boy's eyes stay wide with a blank expression as nothing seems to come out.

"Nothing to say for yourself?" You raise your eyebrow.

"She was a friend"

"Oh really? A friend? You just happened to be kissing with on accident I guess" you hiss.

"Whoever told you anything about what happened was lying to you" He throw his arms open. "Cmon (Name), you know I wouldn't do anything to jeopardize us!"

"Actually, I don't know and I wouldn't know because you never answered my texts"

"I told you I was with—"

"Your brother? Then tell me why when I asked him he told me you've been out everyday for all of spring break" your eyebrows narrow.

"I had work." He states.

"You think I never thought to check the movie theater?"

"I must've been on a break because I wouldn't LIE" his voice begins to get louder.

"Bullshit. You keep spouting absolute bullshit."

"Aren't relationships about trust? Why can't you trust your own boyfriend?" You stand there in awe as he shifts the blame to you.

Closing your fists tight with close to bursting veins, you spout, "What fucking boyfriend"

"Whatever, your sister was hotter anyways"

You raise your hand and hurdle it towards Misawa's cheek. What felt like lightning speed, you find yourself pinned to the wall with your wrists in the tight grasps of Misawa.

"Let me go!" You roar in anger.

"Listen here," Misawa puts his face close to yours. You can feel his heavy breath on your face. "Touch me again and something bad will happen."

"Hey dipshit" immediately, a fist blows through Misawa's face, knocking him out.

"Tsukishima!" You run into his arms.

"Hey shortie," the first year lets out a deep sigh as he pats your head.

"(Name)!" Your sister pulls you into a tight hug. "Did he do anything to you?"

"I-I'm fine!" You look over to Tsukishima with a smile as he returns a half one. "I'm okay"

Friday rolls by slowly but surely as Tsukishima's first week back in school comes to an end.

"Morning guys!" You wave your hand in front of the school gate as him and Tsukishima walk together.

"Good morning!" Yamaguchi grins.

"Yo."

"Hey guys, wanna hang during lunch? I brought strawberry shortcake" you wave the plastic bag as you put on your school shoes.

"Save me a slice, I have something to do" Tsukishima puts his shoes in its place.

"Whatttt" you pout. "You've had something to do all week... just this once?"

"Sorry, I'll make it up to you soon" he pats your head as you continue to pout. While Tsukishima walks ahead when you turn to Yamaguchi.

"Is it just me or does he seem a bit distant?" You whisper.

"I-I don't know what you mean." Yamaguchi's voice cracks. "Tsukki is just being Tsukki yknow?"

He rushes ahead as you walk behind the two with the hand on your chin. "Very suspicious"

"I guess its just you and me" you talk to the cake. Turns out Yamaguchi also had something to do today; for the third time this week.

You groan and rest your head on the desk. You take out your phone and go to messages.
