"I am back."I announced Mrs Ando as I entered the shop. There was only one costumer who was drinking Soju and eating ramen quietly.I dropped all the girls to my and Sana's place since it would have been torture to get them to their own homes. My back was already broken since I ended up carrying Mina on my back too among with Misa because she just collapsed in the middle of the road.
I went behind the counter and took a black apron from the hanger and put it around me.I took a handkerchief and started to clean up the counters.
After I was done,I went to Mrs Ando who was making her fantastic ramen and took the bowls that she placed on a tray and gave them to a costumer that came in recently. They thanked me with a smile and started eating.
"Y/n,darling!Can you take the next costumer for me please?I need to go to the back to take some noodles."Mrs Ando said and I nodded with a smile.
"Sure thing,Ando-san."Right then,a man entered the store.I smiled and went to the register."Good evening! What would you like to order?"
"Oh...I want a bowl of tsukemen please."He said and I nodded with a smile, writing down the order."Are you a new employee?I haven't seen you before."The man asked and I chuckled.
"I am working part-time."I lied.I don't have to tell a stranger why I am here.Truth being said,I kinda do work part time here...I don't mind at all tho.Mrs Ando is the nicest person you can ever be with. She is funny and very kind.I come and help her at night, everytime I can,but I couldn't do it in the past month since I was only locked in my office, researching Watanabe's murders.Even tho when I am here I work,it relaxes me.This places just takes all my stress away.My job is very stressful,so this keeps me calm and happy.
"Aha...What is your name?"He asked.I mentally rolled my eyes.
"Imai Kimi."I said.He nodded.
"Pretty name for a pretty girl."He said and I mentally cringed.Does he think that's hot?I put on a sweet smile.
"Your order will come in 10 minutes or less.Take a seat until then."I said with the same smile and he nodded and sat down at the bar.

"Y/n.Thank you so much for today."Mrs Ando said with a smile as she hugged me.I hugged her back.
"No need too...I will come tomorrow too."I assured with a smile as we broke the hug.She smiled back.
"Please stop tomorrow on your way to the prosecution.I will make the girls hangover soup."
"They will definitely need it."I said with a giggle and left."Goodbye,Ando-san!Take care!"I yelled and waved as I turned the corner.I was holding a bag of different pastries that Mrs Ando gave me.
I finally arrived to the building after a while of walking.I went inside and saw that the lights were still turned on,which made me pretty confused since it's almost midnight.
Shouldn't they be asleep at this hour?
I walked inside nonetheless and knocked on the door.A pink haired girl opened the door."Oh!Y/n-san!"
"Hinata!"We happily hugged each other and she let me in."I brought some things for the little ones."I said and showed her the bag full of pastries. She chuckled and nodded.
"They have been waiting. You know they can't sleep without you telling them a story or singing and kissing them goodnight."Hinata sighed. She and I have been friends in high school. She was the best girl and still is.
The both of us walked through the empty hallway that was full of toys. The walls were covered in drawings.I chuckled."Seems like this place needs to be renovated."I looked at the ceiling and saw that it was a little bit unstable in the corner, also creaked.
Hinata hummed."It does actually...But Ishii-san would not spend his precious money on doing it."Hinata rolled her eyes and I scoffed in annoyance.
"Is he the same old hag?"I asked and she chuckled.
"Yup...Only caring about himself."She said in a whisper since walls can talk, you know"Don't worry...One day I will buy the orphanage and make it look like a castle."She pointed to herself proudly.
"Can't wait for that day."The both of us giggled. We stopped in front of a big wooden door and Hinata opened it.There I saw them. The kids.
They all turned their heads and went silent after hearing the sound of the door opening. Some were playing with plushies, others were running around, some were even asleep. They were so cute.
"Y/N-SAN!"They all yelled in happiness when they saw me and ran at me.They all hugged my legs and I kneeled down to give them all a hug.

"MY LITTLE BABIES!I missed you!"I happily said and hugged them."I BROUGHT SWEETS FOR YOU!"I held the bag in the air and they all cheered cutely.
"But it's almost midnight.Y/n!"Hinata glared at me."You can't give th-"
I cut her off by putting a Taiyaki in her mouth. She still glared at me,but munched on it."Now...While you eat,I will tell you a story,hm?"I ask,my attention on the children. They all cheered.
"Can you sing afterwards?"Hana,a 5 year old that I knew ever since she was a baby, asked. She was in a purple nightgown and had two buns. She was holding her purple teddy bear to her chest tightly.
"Of course."I said happily and they all hugged me once more."Now,everyone...Lets start off with the story..."I said and started giving them all the snacks. They all sat on their beds after getting one each.
Hinata brought me a chair and a tales book.I started reading the story as they ate. When I was done, some of them were already asleep.A part of them still had the snacks in their hands while sleeping. It was so cute,I wanted to squish their cheeks.
"Ok now...Time for the song."I said in a lower time to not wake up the kids who were already asleep.I sang 'Twinkle twinkle little star' and a few more lullabies, and when I was done all of them were asleep.I chuckled and slowly got up from the chair, making my way out of the room.I was welcomed by Hinata's glare."Um...Everything alright,Hina?"I asked. She walked away angrily.
"I am gonna kill you."She said through gritted teeth.I shrugged.
"That's a crime,Hina."I said.
"I know that, dumbass."She turned to face me with a glare.
"Ouch."I said at the insult."Are you on your period or something?"I whispered and she rolled her eyes, turned on her heel and walked away.I walked after her."Hinaaaaaa~Talk to meeeee~What have I done?"I asked and she stopped walking.I saw clenching her fists. We were now outside the orphanage.
"You gave them sweets at night."She angrily said, not turning to face me.
"I always do tho."
Silence...
"They have been crying every night after you the past month."Her fists unclenched and she turned to face me with sad eyes."They love you,Y/n.They see you as their older sister."I saw some tears at the corner of her eyes.
"I know...I was busy with work.I am sorry."I bowed and looked down. She hugged me and I hugged her back.
It's not like I have an obligation to be here, but it's kids we are talking about. They get attached.I don't blame Hina for being mad at me tho.I just disspeared for a month and let her handle the children all by her own.
I heard Hina sob."Thank you so much."She said and hugged me tighter.
"Is this why you are sad?"I asked and she just stayed silent, not breaking the hug.I realized that there was something else,so I broke the hug and hold her shoulders."What happened,Hina?"
"We got a letter 4 days ago."She said while looking away and I widened my eyes.
"From who?"
"It was from someone saying that they want to buy the ground."She said and looked down.I knew what this meant.I clenched my fists."They said we need to evacuate by the end of the year."
"This bitch.Show me the letter."She looked up at me with wide eyes.
"W-what?"
"I said show me the letter.Just because they have money,it isn't that easy to buy a ground."I informed.
"That means that..."
I nodded."Ishii is still the owner.Even tho I am sure he wants to sell the ground, you can file a lawsuit against him."
"A lawsuit?"Hinata asked.I nodded again.
"Ever since he got this place,he hasn't been taking care correctly of it.The walls and ceiling are about to fall.He is basically neglecting the orphanage."
"Yeah but...Its his building..."Hinata looked down.
"It doesn't matter. He is not living here by his own. This is an orphanage where innocent children are staying in.Even if he is the owner of the ground,it can be taken from him if he doesn't take care of it since this was initially a public place."
Hinata sighed in relief and hugged me."Thank you so much,Y/n-san.I don't know what I'll do without you."I felt her smile in the hug.I smiled too.
"Is she serious now?"
"Why the hell is she so nice out of a sudden?"
"I swear...She deserves to die."
"She does."
"We will kill her..."
"Tonight."
