《That bakery girl [Gojoxreader]》Truth

Silence followed.
You kept quiet. Your stomach twists at the thought of the person in front of you. The heart in your chest beats heavy and bright, nearly visible through your body and clothes. All your appetite, fever and sleep are shredded. Each of his touches spikes your blood with adrenaline, and at this moment you are dangerously close to running away. Your body is barely under your control. You're consumed, and it scares you.
Gojo still didn't let go of you. He wasn't sure what to think of you silence. "I'm... It's- it's like torture for me." His voice was weak, sounding hardly like a whisper. "I think I'm losing it - I don't know what's happening, what happened, but I look at you, I look at you, and I like you - no, I love you so much. Not because of anything you've said, or done, or anything at all. I look at you, and I just love you, and it terrifies me. It terrifies me what I would do for you. Please... You have to tell me... Tell me I'm not crazy. Please just look at me. "
Your eyes drift to his and it was over. His blush rises on his face and this time there is no mask to hide it. But your expression says otherwise. You can't deny the rollercoasters that are happening in your stomach but the entire situation makes you put an uncertain face.
"T-That's- You called us f-friends... Isn't that what you w-wanted?" As you reply, Gojo's lip trembles. He almost looks scared to you. The fact that you keep making sad expressions isn't helping in his mind either.
"Yes," he says and swallows. "I did. I do. I do want to be your friend." He nods and you notice the slight change of the mood between you. "I want to be the friend you fall helplessly in love with. The one you take into your arms and into your bed and the private world you keep trapped in your head. I want to be that kind of friend." Gojo says. "The one who will memorize the things you say as well as the shape of your lips when you say them. I-I want to know every curve, every spot, every shiver of your body, Y/n-"he stopped when you looked from him to the floor, lowering your head.
You had to answer him. This was a straight up confession. But you didn't know how to feel about this. Why is your heart thumping? Why is the room around us gone? Why is he so warm? Why do you feel happy in his arms? What is this feeling?
He is so big but so warm... It makes me feel happy inside... I don't want this feeling to end...
"I'm-" as you were about to finish your sentence, a flash of memories of Gojo-san went through your head like a movie. Your first meeting, the walk home, the walk to the lake, your time at the lake, the train ride, the forest fight, your conversations, his soft hand, his laugh, his smile, his excited face, his gorgeous face, his eyes... Him. Gojo-san.
"Y/n?" You hear a voice calling out for you. Suddenly a rose color spreads on your cheeks. Your body feels hot and you bite the inside of your cheek. You can't let him see you like this. Quickly averting your gaze lower, you avoid Gojo's intense glare.
A soft hand lands on your warm cheek. The feeling is chaotic, making the entire universe spin in your stomach. Before you know it, the hand pulls your face upwards. You were met with the same sky like eyes that have been haunting you since the first time they landed on you. Your eyes widen and your mouth opens faster than your lightning. "D-Don't look! Right now- " you didn't get to finish when you saw Gojo's face.

It was as if he was looking at the most precious thing in the world. Gojo didn't dare to blink at the sight in front of him. Your red, embarrassed face, your expression, your half teary eyes... It was all too much for him.
"Y/n..." He starts taking your hand in his. "Is it even possible, you don't feel this fire between us?" Gojo's hand is travelling, agonizingly slowly, from your hand, up your arm, his touch so light, it made your body go on fire with goosebumps.
But being confessed to doesn't exactly take your cold away. Your body gave its strength away and with closing your eyes, you fall into Gojo's arms. "Y/n? What's wrong?" Gojo asks you as he feels your forehead. "I... feel hot..." you mutter, breathing harder.
Your dizziness wasn't affected when Gojo picked you up bridal style in his arms. You strongly seek warmth in his chest even if you were burning outside.
Gojo softly put you on his bed, took off your jacket and shoes, so you were left in a shirt, skirt and socks as he covered you with a blanket. "I will get you some medicine." the tall man states as you subconsciously nod your head. You immediately felt relieved as you laid down. But the lack of warmth made you open your eyes a little bit. What you saw was Gojo standing up and turning his back to you.
It is now that you realize, your response to his confession never came. Before he left, you quickly grab the back of his jacket. Gojo turns his head, confused.
You breathlessly lift your torso, blinking away the dizziness that is resting in your head and stomach. You try to say something to him, but the words seem to be stuck in your throat. After a few deep breaths, you finally manage to express your thoughts. "Tomorrow... I'm... going to tell you... that I like you tomorrow..." You say and let go of his jacket, slowly falling back onto the bed, closing your eyes.
Sadly, with your eyes being closed, you couldn't see Gojo's eyes widening and the embarrassed happy smile that formed on his face, followed by a dark red blush on his pale cheeks. He quickly put a hand over his face to cover the expression. This was one of the few moments in Gojo Satoru's life where he felt truly happy. The gravity of the situation hit him and he crouches down, facing the floor with his hands in his hair. Y/n likes me... She said she likes me... Agghh... She's so cute...
As the train of similar thoughts run through Gojo's mind, you drifted off into the land of dreams. When Gojo notices your breathing going deeper and slower, he rises to his feet and looks at you with a gleeful smile. He couldn't describe the enormous waves of warm emotions he felt while he was watching you soundly sleep. There was nothing in this world that could replace this moment. But deep in his mind he knew, he has to go see his dead student's body.
With a final look at your face, he moves closer to you and softly pecks your cheek. "Good night, Y/n... Sweet dreams..." he whispers with a quiet voice. But, what many people forget, Gojo Satoru is a human too. And a human being is selfish. The greediness he felt as he stared at your sleeping face was a proof of that. Without a second thought he pecks your cheek again. He loved the feeling of your mushy, gentle skin on his lips.

Gojo takes a deep breath, overwhelmed by the depth of emotion swirling in his head and you stir. He looks down at your peaceful features and smiles. Your nose twitches from the strings of hair covering your face. Gojo reaches over with his finger and slowly, gently pushes it aside, so he doesn't wake you up.
You're snoring lightly and there's no sound more angelic to Gojo's ears. As he listens to your voice, his eyes drift to your lips. His strong eyes remain there for a few moments. And then he kisses you. Softly, just like that. Without warning, without permission.
Without even deciding to do it, but simply because he couldn't have done anything else. Gojo had had girlfriends before, but they weren't like this. He had kissed before, but it never felt like this. Like this... Like you. Maybe it lasted a minute, maybe an hour. All Gojo truly cared about is the kiss and how soft your lips are when they bruise against his.
He retreated slightly, and his eyes locked with your closed ones for a long time, at least in his mind, before he brought his mouth to yours again. More... Your lips were dry, but to Gojo they were the sweetest things he ever tasted. He tangled his hands in your hair, trying to pull you closer to him, without waking you up.
He pulls away when a whimper comes out of your mouth. Your eyes shut tighter and you mumble in your sleep, shaking a little but still not getting out of your slumber. Gojo's heart thumps and he was so full of raging emotions, he sat on the floor.
The problem of this situation only came to him now after doing it. He shouldn't have done that. But still he can't say he regrets what he did. He feels more happy than guilty.
He feels more happy than guilty. But when he notices your deep breaths of pain, he decides to leave you alone... For now at least. So with the final look, he turns around and exits the room.
⁂✵❅✯⁂
Meanwhile, your fever was so strong, you couldn't comprehend the situation that just happened. Your surroundings almost seemed nonexistent and the sick feeling in your lungs is not going away.
Some time passed into the night, and so did the events that occurred in Shoko's lab. Of course, you weren't aware of it but you knew what would come anyway. Sukuna will heal Yuji's heart. Though you did wonder how everyone is going to react to that or who exactly is going to react to that. But alas, your current state is preventing you from finding out the truth.
Finally you open your eyes and try to look at the room you're in. Putting your hand on your forehead, you release a calm sigh, realizing your fever almost went down completely. Lazily moving your body to the side, the clock read 3:27am and you make an exaggerated sound of frustration. You were fully awake now. Your eyebrows furrow when you feel the scents around you. Why do you smell Gojo-san on you so much? That's weird... It must've been because you were hugging so much before you fell asleep.
You lift your torso off the bed and take the water from the nightstand. As you gulp down the water, your gaze lands on the piece of paper that is next to the some sort of bag. Confused, you take the bag in your hands and look inside. It was filled with chocolate manju, taiyaki, doughnuts, tea and juices and a big bucket of (favorite flavor) ice cream.
Your mouth waters at the sight of the cold essence, but you hold yourself back. Placing the bag next to you on bed, you take the note.
"Here's some sweets for my sweetest! Hope you enjoy them just as much as I did on the way back while eating some of them! I apologize for leaving you alone but work calls as always... I will come in the morning to check up on you and give you your full dose of morning kisses! I miss you already!!!
Your dearest, greatest and most handsomest Gojo Satoru! Xoxoxoxoxo
PS. Want to hear a bad ice-cream pick-up line? Cone me.
PS2. Wanna hear another pick-up line?
-Are you a doughnut? Because I find you a-dough-rable!
PS3. Love you, honey
The sound of soft laughter fills the room. You've never met someone so goofy in your entire life. The note was full of silly drawings and hearts and flowers of different sizes. You smile to yourself, a small pink blush covering your cheeks.
That's right. Gojo-san confessed to you. And you... You confessed back. Does that mean you are dating now? Well, he didn't ask you directly but...A smile only gets wider as you think more about it. The person you like, likes you back. (A/N: Just to make this clear. If Gojo confessed to ME I would certainly die of happiness, while running around in rainbows. BUT not every female character has to be ditzy and blushy and head over heels for a person she likes. Thank you for reading my Ted talk.)
As you put the bag down on the nightstand, you put the note under your pillow and lay back down. The tiredness still didn't go away, unlike your fever. Closing your eyes, you try to fall back asleep. Tossing and turning around, your body being still awake as ever. Just as you were about to end up in the dreamland, a familiar scent appears close to the room you are resting at. A scent you wish would just disappear from existence.
But being too tired to rise into a fighting stance, you close your eyes and pretend to be asleep. Your body turns opposite of the door, so your back is facing the entrance as the mentioned person walks in. His presence never managed to calm down your senses, let alone his disgusting scent of blood and death.
Funny thing is, even with him being in the room, you almost, almost, really fell asleep. Being sick truly sucks. "I know you're awake." the deep voice sternly awakes you. You roll your eyes when the shifting of the bed happens. Sukuna sits next to your body on the bed.
"What do you want?" you reply hoarsely, still not facing him. Even if you can't see him, you already know there is a sinister smile stretching on his face. "I think it's rather obvious..." he says as he turns his head towards your smaller figure.
You huff, already done with this conversation. Simply, you couldn't believe the audacity of this asshole. To express your annoyance, you kick the King of curses off the bed, with your foot. The loud thump is heard and you laugh silently to yourself.
"Go away, I'm too tired to deal with your revolting self." You comment and close your eyes again. Not bothering to flinch when you feel Sukuna's hands pull your jaw to his side, you simply stare at him as if he is the most boring thing in the world. If he thought that you spare your mind on his bear existence, then he is the bigger fool than you thought he was.
By the expression on his, or rather Yuji's face, you could tell he wasn't happy with what you said. "Suddenly acting all cocky, huh? And you were trembling so sweetly underneath me just a few hours ago." He snickers still holding your face.
"Well, remember how that ended?" You add laughing at his face.
His smirk turns into a frown, as he squeezes your jaw more. Since he pressed your jaw and cheeks to hard, your lips ended up like a duck face. That made Sukuna stare into your plump lips and laugh to himself at the expression. Though the more he stared the more he wanted to feel your lips against his. So he started leaning his face closer to yours as he lifted your chin more.
But before he even moved an inch to you, a sharp pain spread on the left side of his face and his head got smashed onto the floor. He put his hand on his face only to feel a deep cut from his lip to the corner of his eye. The cut was at least three inches deep and if it was anyone else, they would be screaming in pain, but not the King of curses. The eyes of the King moved to your face as his tattooed hand still held the cut before it healed.
Your eyes looked at him as if he is the most pathetic being in the world. Your lips were resting in a thin line and you were looking down on him.
"Nobody touches me, you filth."
The sharp pain in Sukuna's, or rather, Yuji's heart spread and the marks of the King were gone and the innocent high school boy came back into the spotlight. He blinked a few times confused, before his gaze focused on you. "Y/n..." he spoke, expected tiredness in his voice. You smile at the change of smell already relieved with the results.
"Go back to your room, Yuji. Everything's fine now." you say with a calm tone and a warm smile on your face. Yuji replies with a simple "Mhm... Goodnight..." and leaves your room exhausted. Manipulation really comes in handy sometimes. BUT never use it for evil, only when you know it's necessary. And... Considering Yuji's near death situation... He could use some rest...
Well I'm not going to sleep any time soon... The clock now read 4:02am as you get out of bed. You slowly walk to the window and open it. Easily, your feet push out of the room and you fall down the building of the school. The cold wind touches your face as you keep falling closer to the ground.
Just as you were about to hit the ground, you brought the gravity to 1m/s2 and you floated until you reached the dirt. Fixing your hair and posture, you start walking towards the forest of the school. Your eyes moved from trees to the flower, to some night animals roaming around. A lot of things happened today... I wonder how tomorrow will turn out... Meh, I'm sure everything will be alright... For some time you admired the flowers but still didn't pick them. You don't know how long you walked but somehow you ended up at a river opening.
With a smile on your face, you run to the river and take off your socks. Without a single thought, your feet end up in a cold river, while your body rests on the ground. Ooohh... This feels refreshing... Your legs swing back and forth, your eyes looking high at the night sky. If only you could stay like this forever. Forever with that someone... Human mind is a marvelous thing. Because even though Gojo is not sitting next to you, you can almost feel his presence just by thinking of him. He is smiling with you, also admiring the scarlet sky, cracking a joke or two or adding more cheesy flirty lines regarding the universe...
Or maybe... He would hold your hand gently and you would draw circles on his big one. Your head would rest on his shoulder and his sky blue eyes would still rest on the sparkly horizon. You would breath slowly and have a calm conversation about anything in the world, and Gojo would have a bag of sweets next to him.
As the two of you were eating the sugary snacks, in a moment Gojo looks at you with a happy expression. His hands would find their way to your cheeks and your gaze would move to his face with a confused expression. As you both stare at each, you notice Gojo's lips coming closer. Those beautiful, soft lips are-
...
Your eyes open and land back on the cold water. Did you just think about kissing Gojo-san? Slowly, you bring your hands together like in a prayer. I'm sorry mother... Please forgive my lustfulness... You stay like that for a few seconds before taking your feet out of water and stand up. With your feet still wet and socks in your hands you turn to go back. On your way back, you notice a field of blue flowers which you haven't seen before. The blue looked very familiar to you... Realizing, you look at the ring on your finger and notice the similar color.
What pretty flowers... Finally, deciding on following your guilty pleasure, you start picking some of the blue beauties. When you feel like you've had enough, you rest on the soft grass in front of a tree and start making a flower crown. Piece after piece, you carefully brade the delicate flowers, relaxing as your eyes follow your fast fingers.
Knotting the end of the crown, happy with the outcome, you lazily rest your head on the tree, feeling yourself drift off...
⁂✵❅✯⁂
Usually, people wake up in their bed or sofa with an alarm or someone waking them up. And you feeling someone tag on your cheeks forcefully wasn't a usual way of waking up. "Wakey wakey, Y/n-chan..." A familiar voice tries to wake up. Even though the voice sounded cheerful, you sensed an angry aura around the person. "Ughh, owhh..." You mumble as the person keeps pulling on your cheeks more. "If you don't wake up, I'm gonna kiss you..."
Opening your eyes, the first think you see is black. Blinking a few times, the black still stays in front of you. But as catch on a smell of the person, only then do you realize how close that person is to your face. "Mowning Gojo-san..." You say as your lips form into a smile despite him still holding your cheeks.

8 79Cycles of Ruin
Civilizations rise and fall. Kith build them up and monsters, led by powerful dungeon keepers, bring them to ruin. For three thousand years the cycle has been maintained by the Guild of Chaos and its endless hordes of minions who—in absence of their long lost creators—have taken it upon themselves to keep the realms of the universe in balance. The Guild has grown efficient at this task, but some among its ranks have begun to ponder the utility of a universe that has been robbed of the very possibility of change. Basil von Doom is one such dungeon keeper working for the Guild, leading an army of loyal minions from one conquest to the next; burning civilizations and sifting through the ruins in search of forbidden knowledge that the races of kith were never meant to possess. But having spent more than half a century in pursuit of glory and fame—trying to live up to the legacy of his father—Basil has grown indifferent towards his work. Desperate for a worthy challenge, but bound by his duties as a dungeon keeper, he has turned his mind towards uncovering the ultimate fate of the previous master of his house and the secrets that were buried with him. Now the young Master of House Doom must balance his growing interest in pursuing the trail of his father with the responsibilities that come with running a dungeon in service to the Guild of Chaos. To remain in good standing with the Guild, Basil has even accepted the task of mentoring an apprentice dungeon keeper, a young succubus named Elnora. It is at the tail end of her apprenticeship that the story begins; with a civilization poised to fall—its greatest heroes gathering for one last assault on the heart of darkness—and Basil striking up a conversation with his apprentice that will set into motion the unraveling of the universe. ***This is a rewrite and continuation of my story that was first posted on RoyalRoad a few years ago.
8 126The Order
The Order takes place within the Human-led Empire, within Glory City. In this Empire in which Magic is policed and its use is regulated, Mages are required to have a licence in order to practice Magic. The Magically inclined, Non-Human Races that have lived under Human rule lived a markedly different life to Humans, which had led to a somewhat contentious relationship. A law enforcement agency known as The Order is responsible for maintaining Magical order, and is also responsible for doling out justice to those who break the law. Consisting of the Magic using Mages, and the more technologically inclined Knights, these Agents are regarded as protectors by some, but as oppressors by many. The tale follows the exploits of Izano Zuko, a mysterious man, covered from head to toe in burn scars and wrapped in bandages. He arrives in Glory City with the backing of the City Lord, unknown abilities and secret intentions. Trouble starts up almost as soon as he arrives, and Zuko is thrown into a conflict between the Order and an unknown enemy. This is a complete book, and I plan to upload a chapter every week or so. No cover as yet.
