Cora stared at her phone, waiting for Wilbur's answer, but came up empty. She gave up, sighing and laying her back against the comfy sofa, letting many anxious thoughts flood into her mind. Cora scrolled through their previous texts, cringing at how much of a bitch she sounds like. How the fuck does he deal with me? She thought.
A knock on the door pulled her out of her worried thoughts and she hopped off the couch, walking over to the door.
Cora turned the door knob and swinging it open, seeing no other then Wilbur Soot standing on the other side. Wilbur had a huge grin on his face, seeing Cora for the first time in person and standing tall at his 6ft 5in.
Cora froze, widening her eyes with her mouth stretched to the floor. Wilbur opened his arms, still smiling with his circular glasses sat upon his nose.
Cora smiled back wrapping her arms around his neck, engulfing him while he folded his arms across her back. "Hey, asshole." He said, picking her up and spinning her around. "You whore, you said you wouldn't come here."
Wilbur set her back down, studying her. She looked prettier in real life. Cora stood on her tip toes and ruffled his hair. "You cut your hair." Cora said, grabbing Wilbur's hand and leading him into her apartment, his luggage dragging behind. He laughed and stumbled into the clean apartment, looking at the short brunette.

They both hopped onto Cora's sofa and began to talk about anything and everything.
"What are you doing here? I thought you were spending Christmas with Josh?"
Wilbur grabbed Cora's fingers and started to fiddle with them. You could tell his love language was touch.
"He decicded to go spend it with his family and I couldn't get a refund. Oh by the way, can I stay here?"
"Sure" the girl said, laying back against the couch, pulling her hands away and placing her feet in his lap.
Wilbur did truly have a friend in New Jersey, but they never planned to meet up. He didn't want to admit it, but he just wanted to meet her.
Despite just meeting, they both felt extremely comfortable with each other, as if they've known each other for years.
Wilbur begun to trace aimless shapes on Cora's ankle, making a shiver travel down her spine. "So I was a second choice? Words hurt Alfie."
"Of course."
Cora sat up, hitting him once again. "You know you're a loser?" Wilbur started to smile, gripping Cora's waist and pulling her closer to him. "Yes, but I'm your loser." Cora made a fake gagging noise while feeling Wilbur's hands burning into the revealed skin of her stomach.
"What do you wanna do? You're kind of boring in person." Wilbur teased her side making her struggle out his grip while he grabbed something from his pocket. "Oh really? Or should you not get your present because I'm so boring."
Cora widened her eyes, hopping back into his lap and grabbed his face. "Wow Wilbur, you're so cute. Have my children? You're such a fun person that I literally can't be in the same room as you without shaking. You're hair is so curly and good."

Wilbur laughed while Cora peppered kisses all over his face and flooded his ego with compliments. "Alright alright. I got it, now get off." She scooched off, staring up at Wilbur with her puppy/gold digger eyes. Wilbur stuck a black box in her hand making her squeal with happiness.
"Let me go get yours."
Cora stood up and ran down her hallway while Wilbur waited, his face heating up by their sweet interaction. Cora sped back, a similar box in her hand and a wrapped box. She handed Wilbur the wrapped box first.
"That's for Tubbo, I trust you will send it to him? I don't have that type of money, so I'm making you do it. And here's yours."
She handed Wilbur the tiny box, a proud expression on her face. Wilbur wanted to suggest opening them tomorrow, on Christmas, but he couldn't bring his self to do it due to the thrilled look on her face.
Cora opened hers first, laughing immediately after looking at the present. "God, I knew it was stupid." Cora shook her head, still shuddering with laughter and pointed to his box, motioning for him to open it. Wilbur lifted the top of his box and joined in with Cora.
In Wilbur's box was chat noir's ring and in Cora's was ladybugs earrings.
"I think this miraculous bit has gone on too long."
"Agreed."
The rest of the night was filled with stories, jokes, and stupid movie's. They both ended up wrapped together, falling asleep to the end credits of the 5th movie they watched.
"You wanna go to sleep?" Wilbur's eye's felt heavy as he was fiddling with a peice of Cora's hair in his fingers. Cora mumbled against his chest as a response, but still not moving.
Wilbur started to lift her off of him, but she fought back, keeping the both of them down. "I'm just gonna go get a blanket, idiot. I'll be right back." Cora released her grip, letting Wilbur maneuver under her and out. He quickly grabbed a blue fuzzy blanket and sped back to his original spot, which Cora tiredly welcomed him back.
"Goodnight, love." Wilbur whispered into her hair. "Stop being so british, dumb dumb."
