《Please...》Chapter Twenty Seven

"Pappy, why d'you hafta go?" Harry whined. "Stay!"
Remus shook his head. "I have to go see someone, cub. I'll be back in a few hours, and I'll meet you and Daddy at the park! Maybe I'll even bring you some hot chocolate? With mallows, of course."
Harry still wouldn't let go of Remus' leg. "Gone long?"
"No, I won't be gone long," Remus said softly. "Now please let go of my leg? I'm going to be late."
Harry huffed, but let go of Remus' leg. He stuck out his lower lip in a pout.
Remus chuckled, then lifted Harry off the floor. "Oh, you silly boy." He kissed Harry's forehead. "You'll see me soon, I promise."
"Harry, I thought you were getting dressed?" Severus asked, coming out of his room. "Don't you want to go to the park?"
"Pappy's leavin'!" Harry exclaimed, starting to squirm.
"Don't squirm like that, you'll fall," Severus scolded lightly. He took Harry from Remus. "Pappy's going to meet us at the park, but he has something important to do first."
Harry nodded slowly. "Buh-bye Pappy."
"Let's go get dressed, Harry. Then you can have a snack, we'll go to the park, and we'll play!"
Remus decided to make a quick exit while Harry was distracted. He knew he would never leave otherwise.
Once he was off Hogwarts grounds, he Apparated to Number Twelve, Grimmauld Place, where he thought Sirius was hiding. He felt the wards let him through, which meant Sirius knew he was coming.
Remus knocked on the door, then waited.
No response.
He knocked on the door again.
Again, nothing.
He made to knock on the door for a third time when it swung open, and he almost hit Sirius in the face.
"Sirius!"
The man gave him a small smile. "Come in, Remus. Be quiet, that horrid portrait of my mother is still here and I can't get it down."
Remus followed Sirius down the hall, being as quiet as possible, to the sitting room.
"I've cleaned up as much as I could," Sirius said. "But this house is so full of Dark magic, I doubt it'll ever be nice."
"Sirius-"
"Zip it, Remus," the man snapped. "Why did it take you four years!?"
"I-"
"Why the hell did you let me rot in that... that... that place for four years! I thought we were friends! More than that, dammit, we were bloody brothers and you just... you just decided to say 'fuck you, Siri'!"
"Sirius!" Remus exclaimed to get his attention. "I... I didn't know, alright!? I didn't believe it was you, but... But Peter was gone, alright! And I thought you were Secret Keeper, not him! I only just found out, okay? And do not blame me entirely, it is not my fault. If you had resisted and forced them to give you a trial instead of just going with them!"
"I was in shock! My friend... Who I thought was my friend helped You-Know-Who to kill James, and then he killed thirteen Muggles, and I saw it!"
Sirius shook his head as he sat in an armchair. "Us fighting isn't going to do anything... I'm sorry..."
"Sirius, it's okay."
He shook his head, but chose to switch the topic. "How's Harry? You do get to see him, right? Do you have custody?"
"I... Well, I practically live with him and his... guardian. Now, Sirius, you don't get to start screaming at me, but did you read the Prophet article about Harry?"

"Oh, Merlin, the Prophet's already going after the poor kid? No, I didn't, why?"
"Sirius, you aren't allowed to be mad, or yell, or break something. No questions until I'm finished. Got it?" Remus stated.
Sirius laughed. "You can't be serious-"
"I am."
"Oh... I guess, yeah. Got it."
Remus took a deep breath, knowing what would come next.
"Harry was sent to live with the Dursleys," Remus started. Thankfully, Sirius kept to his word, and refrained from shouting something. "But... he was being abused there... So that Squib, Mrs. Figg, wrote to Severus Snape to come get Harry, because Dumbledore was doing nothing...
"Severus did. He saved Harry, helped Pomfrey heal him physically, and still helps with the mental part. See, Harry grew... really attached to Severus, I guess, so Severus is sort of Harry's legal guardian, and the way Harry sees it, Severus is his dad. He does know about James and Lily, so don't worry, and Severus hasn't made it seem like James is bloody satan or something.
"So Severus and Harry live at Hogwarts. Then, Severus decided for whatever reason to owl me, asking if I'd like to see Harry, and of course I said yes because I hadn't in four fucking years-"
Sirius started laughing, making Remus look up, confusion on his face.
"Sorry, sorry!" Sirius exclaimed. "You never say fuck!"
"Well, I did. You aren't twelve. May I continue?" He got a nod from his friend, and did just that. "So I went to see Harry, and over a week or two, he got really attached to me, too. So now I'm... If you laugh I'll shave your head - Pappy. Another dad figure to him. But, thing is... I'm sort of living with him because I help teach at Hogwarts but I rarely use my quarters... because... because-me-and-Severus-are-dating-and-I-always-sleep-with-him!"
"Pardon? Say it again, slower."
"Me and Severus are dating and I always sleep in his room, so now I basically live with Harry!"
Sirius said nothing.
"Sirius... I'm done now..." Remus said, bracing for the reaction, eyes closed.
They opened when Sirius chuckled. "Makes sense, you stared at his arse all of sixth year. Probably daydreaming about his big-"
"SIRIUS BLACK!" Remus screamed. "SHUT UP!"
"What? It's true. You stared at his arse, fantasizing. You know what, I bet you would've bottom-"
"SHUT IT!" Remus squealed, covering his red face with his hands. "Those... those are none of your business."
"HA! I WAS RIGHT, I WAS RIGHT!" Sirius celebrated. "Details, please."
"What?"
"I. Said. Details. Is he good?"
"Oh my God, are you literally asking how Severus is in bed!?"
"No, I'm just fucking with you," Sirius said, turning unusually serious. Here's the real question: Can I kill the Dursleys or no?"
"Vernon's in prison, Siri. Tuney didn't do much, or anything, from what I can tell. And I'm not letting you kill a child, so the answer to that is no."
Sirius huffed. "That's unfair."
"No, it isn't. But it would be unfair to Harry if you got yourself locked in Azkaban by doing something stupid and irrational."
"Can I see him!?" Sirius asked, realizing he could finally see his godson again. "Please? I won't be an arse to Snape and I'll be on my best behavior and I'll-"
"Yes."
"I'll not have a dirty mouth and I won't completely spoil him and-"
"I said yes."
"And I- What?"
"I said yes, Sirius."

"OH MERLIN I LOVE YOU!" Sirius exclaimed, launching at Remus at trapping him in a hug. "You have no idea how long it feels like it's been!"
"But there are a few rules," Remus said gently.
"Like what? I'd never do anything to-"
"I know you wouldn't, but he's very sensitive to certain things, alright?"
"Like what?"
"Raised voices, for example. He has... I shouldn't've said he was sensitive, it's more like he has some triggers you should know about. Raised voices is one of them."
"What are the others?" Sirius asked, parting from Remus and sitting next to him on the sofa.
"You have to be careful with the facial expressions you use, especially ones that make you seem angry. You can't get angry, not even at Severus. Got it so far?" Sirius nodded, so Remus continued. "No raising your arm for anything, unless you do it slowly. I think that's about it.
"Well, go get dressed," Remus said. "Severus knows, he took Harry to the park, we're meeting them there."
"Really!?" Sirius asked with pure joy. "Can I bring some stuff for him? He isn't to old for stuffies, right? I still have some I wanted to give him when he was a baby but I never got to-"
"Sirius, he loves stuffed animals. Now, go take a shower, get dressed, get what you want to bring, and then I'll Apparate the both of us there. It's a Wizarding park, so people might recognize you, but the few times we've gone there haven't been that many people."
"Right! I'll be right back! If you're hungry you can help yourself to anything, kitchens that way bye!"
Remus chuckled to himself as Sirius ran up some stairs, thankfully not waking his mother, thankful his friend did not in fact hate him.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Nope," Sirius said when Remus grabbed his arm to drag him. "Nope, nopity, nope."
"You'll be fine," Remus said, continuing to drag the man. "Sirius, stop acting like a child-"
"I'm a child at heart!"
"And look at the kid over there who needs you," Remus said, looking over to where Harry was playing on the swings. "He needs you, you do not get to leave him."
"He doesn't... I'm a criminal, Remus, what kid needs a-"
"You are not. Now come on, he needs a family and you're going to be a part of it whether you like it or not.
"Hi, Harry!" Remus greeted when he and Sirius got over to the two. "How's the park?"
"Good, Pappy! Daddy pushed me on the swings and went down the slide with me!" Harry exclaimed. "An' he let me wear my puppy hat!!"
Remus chuckled, picking Harry up when he held his arms above his head. "Anyway, Harry, there's someone we'd like you to meet, 'kay?"
"Who? Why? Did I do somethin'!?"
"No, no! He's... He's a really close friend of mine, sort of like a brother, and we, me and Daddy, want you to meet him. He's really nice."
"He is?"
Remus nodded. "And he has a special magic, he can turn into a doggy!!"
Harry gasped, eyes wide. "Really!? He can really turn into a puppy!?"
"Yeah!"
Remus called Sirius over. "Harry, this is Sirius. You might know him as Padfoot," Remus explained. "Sirius, this is Harry."
"Hi..." Harry said shyly. "I'm Harry."
Sirius shook Harry's hand. "Sirius."
"Padfoot," Harry said. "You're Padfoot."
"Yes, I am." Sirius glanced at the wolf. "Did Remus tell you that?"
"Dream 'bout you an' Pappy once... He called you Padfoot..." Harry held on tightly to Remus. "Sorry!" he exclaimed when Sirius said nothing. "'M sorry!"
"No, it's okay!" Sirius said, coming out of his trance. "It's okay! I just didn't expect you to remember me!"
Harry looked to Remus. "Doggy?"
Sirius grinned. "Want to see me turn into a dog? I have to warn you, it's a really big dog."
Harry smiled and nodded. "Wanna see, wanna see!"
Remus covered Harry's eyes, just in case Sirius' shifting frightened him, and let down his hand when Sirius was done.
"PUPPY!" Harry screamed with joy. "Daddy, Daddy- Daddy?"
"I see, bambi," Severus said, walking closer to the three. "I see."
"Down, Pappy, wanna pet him!" Harry turned to Remus. "Siri's a him, right?"
"Yes, cub, Sirius is a man and uses him."
"Okay." Harry giggled when Sirius licked his hand. "Funny puppy! Daddy, can I play with Siri!?"
Severus nodded. "Sure, bambi, just don't run too far. Stay in this area, okay? Sirius, you too."
The two ran off, Harry chasing Sirius around in the melting snow. Remus and Severus walked over to a nearby bench.
"Are you upset?" Remus mumbled.
"I don't think so..." Severus replied. "I don't want to be."
"I don't understand."
Severus shrugged. "Harry needs him, but I still... have a strong dislike for him."
"I figured you would. We... The other three did a lot of fucked up shit in school."
"It's not just that... I'm always..."
"You can talk to me," Remus said softly when he noticed how Severus was struggling to get the words out. "They won't hear."
"I'm afraid... he might try and take Harry away from me..." Severus explained. "It's sort of stupid..."
"I don't think it's stupid," Remus replied.
Severus rested his head on his boyfriend's shoulder. "I don't think he ever would. Only a person who wanted to die would do that. But it's still a scary thought. That he could be taken from me at any time... by anyone..."
"I don't think Sirius would do that, either, but your right. It is a scary thought. Sometimes when Harry's screaming from a nightmare, I think it's 'cause someone's trying to take him..."
"I don't want to talk about it anymore," the Slytherin mumbled. "But I am hungry."
"We could go to a restaurant? Maybe one in Diagon Alley or Hogsmeade?"
"Sure."
They both looked up to Sirius and Harry. Sirius had switched back to his human form, and was pushing Harry on the swings.
And they were both happy.
"It's nice..." Remus mumbled. "One sec." He dug in his pocket for a moment before pulling out a camera and taking a few pictures. "We can go now, if you want."
Severus took Remus' hand, and the two walked over to the playground.
"Harry, it's time to go!" Remus called. "Come on you two, we're going to lunch."
Harry ran to Severus, who lifted him and rested him on his hip. Sirius stood awkwardly.
"So... I'll see you all-"
"No, you're coming with," Remus cut in. "We're going to a place in Diagon Alley. We'll do side along."
Remus grabbed both Sirius' and Severus' arm before Apparating to an alley near the Leaky Cauldron. Severus started walking with Harry right away, but Sirius and Remus hung back.
"Thank you..." Sirius mumbled. "For everything..."
Remus didn't say anything, and he knew he didn't have to.
"So, I... I have a few things for you, Harry," Sirius said after they had gotten a table and ordered their food. "Could I...?" He glanced at Severus, who nodded.
"What sort of stuff?" Harry asked.
"Well, I have a few things I wanted to give you when you were a baby, but then some things happened and I couldn't. I thought you might still want them," Sirius said, pulling a bag out of his pocket. Harry stared at it with interest.
"Here's item number one," Sirius said, pulling a stuffed animal of some sort out.
"Puppy!" Harry exclaimed. "'S a puppy! An' it looks like you!"
"That was sort of the point," Sirius said. "Do you like it?"
"Yeah! 'Is name is Padfoot!! Daddy, I gotsa puppy!!!"
Severus smiled. "I see, Harry."
"There's two more," Sirius said. "Why don't you have Severus hold Padfoot for a moment." Harry did as Sirius said, and grinned at his godfather. Sirius smiled at how happy Harry was. "This is Pumpkin," he said, handing Harry an orange kitten stuffed animal.
"Kitty! Thank you, thank you!"
"You're welcome. Ready for the third one?" Harry nodded excitedly.
"Daddy, it's a bumblebee!" Harry squealed, holding the stuffed animal that was as big as his head. "Pappy!" He hugged it to his chest. "I love 'em all an' they're all my friends now!"
"I'm glad you like them," Sirius said, happy that Harry was happy.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"How did you like seeing Sirius today?" Severus asked, helping Harry with the zipper on his dragon onesie. "What did you think of him."
"I like 'm," Harry yawned. "I think. Wanna see him again, Daddy."
Severus smiled. "That can happen. Now, Daddy's bed or Harry's bed?"
"Daddy's, but can all o' my friends come?"
"Of course, bambi."
The two men helped Harry bring all of his stuffies into Severus' room, including the three new ones. Harry then got into his normal place, right in the middle, with Severus on one side and Remus on the other. He got a kiss on his forehead from both of them.
"Goodnight, bambi."
"Night, cub."
"Nigh' nigh, Daddy, Pappy..." Harry fell asleep, holding Padfoot and Lily close to his chest.
"I'm glad Harry got to meet him," Severus whispered. "And I'm glad he's a part of Harry's life."
"I glad you're glad about that. I'm glad, too," Remus replied.
The two shared a kiss before getting to sleep themselves, each holding two stuffed animals.

Divine Creatures
Kestra, a [Combat Alchemist] and [Woods Wraith Hunter], is excited to finally receive her third class. But when she attempts to do so, she instead receives a tribulation from the God of Trials, loses her classes, and is informed by the voice of the world that she's been selected to transmigrate with only three days to go. She tries her damnedest to prepare, but even the Elements are different in this new realm. A relatively staid adjustment period is completely abandoned though as she finds that, most distressingly, hundreds of transmigrators have appeared recently with dozens enslaved by the local city lord. Fine! She may have lost her classes and the magic is funky, but she'll be damned if she doesn't have a few true-blue skills up her sleeves. [synopsis re-write by luda305] A light hearted romp where the protag transmigrator *isn't* from Earth. The main story takes place on more of a western xianxia world. Note: profanity tag is because of side characters, and sexual context tag is for some risqué elements before fade-to-black scene. Book 1 is written and scheduled for release a chapter a day till 9/26 (24 chapters total) Book 2 will be added after it is all written. Updated to add fanfic tag because when I picked up the latest Ten Realms I realized that series has had a lot more influence on the setting than I consciously realized. Don't expect military or industrial revolution in xianxia, though.

It's a rather easy task, for miraculous objects called lifestones are able to extend one's lifespan. These lifestones are best found in the treasuries of nobles, lovely resorts that Claud pays a visit to every so often. Unfortunately, one of those nightly visits go awry, and Claud is forced to escape with just a single lifestone and a box in hand. Normally, that's when things die down. The guards yawn, the gates close, and the night continues. But this time, the night isn't that forgiving. A dozen schemes result in the murder of someone important, and with a convenient scapegoat — Claud — at hand, it doesn't take long for him to be framed as a heinous criminal, wanted for the indirect murder of someone high up...and it just gets worse from there. Book 2: The Moon Lords' Rise Synopsis: As ordered chaos sweeps across Licencia, Claud leaves for Julan Barony, intent on making some profits there. Accompanied by the erstwhile heiress of Julan, a fellow member of the Moon Lords, the two plot against the barony's wealth...as well as a promise to bring about its downfall. Meanwhile, back home, the Moon Lords have busied themselves with digesting their gains. Eyes, however, are beginning to turn to this proverbial fish in a small pond. The fishermen are coming. When they cast their hook, what will Dia and the others do? Book 3: Murders under the Moons Synopsis: In the sleepy town of Nachtville, where Claud and Lily are forced to stop at, a set of nasty murders occurs. Victims scream out in fright, before a spear falls from the sky to end their suffering. Cowed and cautious, the master thief and his partner slink in the shadows, their objective that of home... A new task, however, has fallen on Dia. With a trusty helper at her side, she has to set off towards Nachtville itself, to solve the mystery Claud had abandoned. Faced with an enemy whose sole skillset is geared towards killing, how will they succeed? And what dark secrets will they find? Book 4: In the Dark of the Moons Synopsis: The year has ended. The four months of the full moons will soon be followed by two months of the new moons. Duke Istrel's ascension is around the corner. Amidst this political upheaval, Count Nightfall, Licencia's strongest defender, has been called away. The Moon Lords' largest task yet — to protect Licencia in the absence of its ruler — has begun. And yet, trouble is unrelenting. A distinguished personage, one that Claud fears, has been found dead in the county, his brains dug out and his body disemboweled. The inquisitors of the White Church have been dispatched to investigate and apprehend the murderer...as well as the person behind this puppet. Tormented by a call to fight, Claud directs his eyes out of the city, looking for the puppetmaster. Skulking in the shadows, the master thief will soon confront his greatest foe yet. A foe just like him. Book 5: Moonlit Tides and Darkened Seas Synopsis: A new era has begun. For the privileged, the sands of time dribble away for every passing moment, counting down to the arrival of a entity of mythical proportions. The night now harbours shadows and fog, and operatives of the Moons and the Dark clash in shadow. Claud, as usual, is investigating a spate of nasty disappearances in the city, but little does he know what these disappearances truly mean. And yet, a tide is coming. When it finally breaks, what will he do? Book 6: Secrets in Shadow Synopsis: The person behind a strike that would enter the annals of history flees his home, bringing with him the person closest to his heart into a new land and into a new world. Having left Istrel for the first time in his life, the two of them attempt to settle down in foreign lands, only to be caught in the middle of hostilities between two mighty powers grappling for dominion. Yet, none of that has anything to do with him. Following his desires, Claud eventually makes his way to the fabled Celestia Ruins, a fragment of another world. Bearing witness to truths he cannot yet comprehend, he returns from his exploration, a small break away from the machinations of destiny. One thing, however, is for certain. Destiny will not wait for him. Book 7: Reddest Rage Synopsis: Destiny churns on, heedless of mortal machinations, and Claud watches as the battlegrounds between the Moons and the Dark are drawn up. With the forces of the great Dark occupying Lostfon, Claud comes to a startling realisation — that he may have very well be a murderer of heinous proportions. Grappling with that realisation, he struggles to prepare for his Second Tutorial... Back in Istrel, Dia finds herself confronted with a perennial truth. Even in a time of writhing destiny, the machinations between nobles never cease to end — and unfortunately for her, the group once known as the Moon Lords are forced into dealing with a petty squabble between two counts. What they didn't account for, however, was the startling discovery they would soon make... And the shadow of the Red God's Holy Son behind it all. Book 8: Darkness Descends Synopsis: Nightmares haunt the horizon as Claud sinks and awakens from a seeming dream. What was once illusory begins to play out before him, in a way he cannot imagine. Under the banner of humanity and divinity, she beholds the silent, forgotten protectors of Orb...but there is no forgetting the battle between the divinities. The Dark descends, the Moons writhe, and the horns of war blow once more. But this is not their battle. Not yet. Book 9: Moons Muster Synopsis: As more and more events fall into place, Claud finds himself desperate. Not for himself, but for the person who has turned into his world. Armed with the knowledge of a certain future, he approaches the only person that could possibly help him in his time of need, trading information for a promise of help. With that as solace, he returns to the grim task of understanding and seeking, revisiting an ancient, shattered fragment of another world...unleashing changes that he never knew was possible. Back in Istrel, Dia and the others must now navigate around a familiar spirit, who seeks to investigate the death of his master's Bearer. With them as prime suspects, the Seekers of Life must move carefully...but the Coloured Gods are not the only divinities eyeing them closely. The Moons, bristling from repeated defeats, are looking for new recruits, and the Seekers of Life are prime cannon fodder. Above all, destiny marches on, the unfeeling clock a warning to all.
