《Please...》Chapter Twenty Two

"Wow..." Harry said softly, looking at the cabin. "For us?"
Severus smiled. "Yeah, bambi. It's ours for two weeks. Remus, you have the key, right?"
"Yeah," Remus replied, trying to juggle at least four bags in his arms. "Harry, here, you do it." He held out a key using his pinky finger; the poor man didn't even have a free hand.
"I'll come help you in a minute, Remus. Go ahead, Harry." Severus handed Harry the key, and had him unlock the door.
"So pretty!" Harry exclaimed, shifting Lily to his other arm. He walked in and looked around. The entryway had a coat closet on one side with a shoe rack on the other. From that there was the sitting room, which had a huge fireplace, wood floors and walls out of logs. Harry ran his hand across the wall, liking how it felt.
There was a huge, fluffy looking sofa in front of the fireplace, with a few armchairs next to it. Large windows looked out at a snow covered wood.
"Daddy, there's a tree!!" Harry exclaimed, looking up at the Christmas tree in the corner.
"We're going to decorate it later, bambi. Remember those ornaments you made with Tommy?" Severus said as both he and Remus brought in their luggage. It wasn't that much, of course, but the full moon had taken place a few days prior, leaving Remus tired and sore.
"I getta hang 'em on the tree!?"
"Yeah!"
The pair set the luggage at the bottom of the stairs. "Why don't we go take a look at the rooms? They're all upstairs, right?"
"Yeah. You and Harry go, I'll get this all sorted out," Severus said. "Harry, want to go look around with Pappy for a bit?"
Harry hesitated. He hated being away from both of them, but especially Daddy.
"I'll be down here the whole time, I just have to find a few things really quick, okay? And Pappy will be with you the whole time."
"Okay."
Remus took Harry's hand as they both walked up the stairs. "Are you okay, Pappy?" Harry asked when Remus winced.
"Yeah, Harry. Don't worry, I'm alright. I think this one is your room, want to check it out?"
"Sleep with Daddy an' Pappy still?" Harry asked quietly, stopping in front of the closed door.
"Of course you can. Any night you want to."
"Okay.
"Wow..." Harry said once he opened the door. It revealed a room with a large, fluffy looking bed and desk. There was a bookshelf, filled completely with colorful books. Behind the desk there was a very large window that also looked out at the snow covered trees and bushes.
"Books?"
"We can read some, later, cub. After dinner or something, alright? Should we go look at my and Daddy's room?"
"Yeah, let's go!"
"Why don't you set your backpack on your bed first. You can keep Lily with, of course."
"Are... Can we play... play in the snow... later?" Harry asked.
"Of course we can! We'll go sledding, we'll make snow forts, we can do all of it! Maybe it'll even snow out while we're here! Have you ever caught a snowflake on your tongue?"
"No...?"
"It's fun, trust me. It's sort of like a game. Alright, come on, let's go see our room."
Remus and Severus' room was almost the same as Harry, though they had a larger bed and two bookshelves instead of one.

"Daddy?" Harry asked. He swung his legs as he watched Severus and Remus put things away. They were staying there for two weeks, no point in leaving all their clothes in bags the entire time.
"Yes, Bambi?"
"D'you think we can... Can we cook or bake somethin' later?"
"Like what?"
"I dunno... I just like cooking and stuff. It's fun... An' you said it's kinda like Potions. I wanna be good at Potions when I'm older! I wanna be just as good as Daddy!"
Severus smiled. "Yes, Harry, we'll make something later. Anything you want."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Harry... Harry, wake up," Severus whispered as he shaked Harry's arm lightly. "It's time to wake up, bambi."
"Too early..." Harry mumbled sleepily. He turned on his side, holding Luna tighter to his chest.
"Well then, I guess Christmas will just have to wait..." Remus said.
"Yeah... Christmas!?"
Severus and Remus let out a chuckle simultaneously. Remus reached out and ruffled Harry's hair, Harry smiling at the contact.
"Are you ready to go downstairs and see what is under the tree?"
Harry rubbed his eyes and put on his glasses. He looked around the room he was in, the room in the vacation home they were renting for the winter break. They same size as his room back home, with more windows that looked out to the woods around the house, covered in snow.
The bed was plush, soft, and Harry curled into a ball, loving how it felt.
"I guess the tickle monster will just have to come, right, Remus?"
Harry sat up and shook his head. "No tickle monster! I' up, I' up!!" Harry exclaimed.
"Look, Remus, bambi's up!" Severus lifted Harry under his arms and rested him on his hip. "How about we go see what Father Christmas left under the tree, okay?"
Harry looked from Remus to Severus. "I... I get more?"
"Yeah, 'member?" Remus said. "Not loads more, just some from Father Christmas."
"Okay."
They walked down the stairs, and Harry gasped. The tree was in perfect view, and his eyes trailed to the gifts underneath it.
"For me...?" he whispered.
Severus smiled. He tilted Harry's head slightly, so he was looking at him. "For you, Harry. You deserve it all, bambi."
The trio sat in a circle on the floor, surrounding the pile of presents. "Which one first, Harry?" Severus said. "Find one with your name on it, okay?"
Instead of grabbing one with his name on it, he grabbed the package next to him, and gave it to Severus. "For Daddy! You go first!" he exclaimed.
Severus smiled at the package in his hands. "Are you sure?" Harry nodded happily, so Severus started to open the messily wrapped package; no doubt Harry had wrapped it by himself. It was wrapped in green paper, with glittery-blue Spell-O-Tape holding it in place.
Severus stared at the pink jumper he was holding.
"'S pink!" Harry exclaimed. "Since Daddy wears black a lots, I thought you'd like it!"
Harry watched Severus' unchanging expression carefully.
Oh, no...
"Daddy... Daddy don' like it...?" he whispered fearfully. His nose scrunched slightly, and he felt as if he were going to cry.
It made Severus come back to reality, and he smiled. "No, bambi, I love it! I think it might just be my new favorite!"
"R-Really!? You really like it!?" Harry's mood changed in a split second, a wide smile on his face.
"Of course I do."
"Put it on, put it on!!"
Remus was grinning from ear to ear as he watched the Potions master slip on the pink jumper. Severus tried to remain calm and collected, but his cheeks were visibly turning a bright shade of red.
"Aww, Sevvie!" Remus teased.
"Shut it, wolf."
"Daddy, you aren't done yet!" Harry exclaimed.
"There's more?"
Harry nodded. Severus looked through the wrapping, and found a very colorful necklace. He put it on, making Harry smile even more.
Remus and Severus agreed to have Harry go next, and gave him a fairly large box with a red bow on it. Harry glanced at it, questioning what to do.
"F-For Harry?" he asked quietly.
"Of course!" Remus said.
Harry looked at the box, and a tear slipped down his cheek. Soon, he was softly crying.
"Harry? Honey, what's wrong?"
"I-I didn' do nothin' to-to get it!" he exclaimed. "I-I-I don' d'serve it!"
"Oh, bambi..." Severus mumbled. He pulled the child gently into his lap, and stroked his hair. "You deserve it, honey."
"N-No I-I don't!"
"Harry, you do. You really do, you know why?" Harry shrugged as a response. "Because. You are... our son, and we love you, and you are a good boy. That is all it takes to deserve Christmas presents, Harry. You just... you did not get them before, because your uncle is a big meanie. Worse than a meanie."
"Worse than a-a meanie?"
"Yeah... he's an arse. But you deserve this and more, okay?"
Harry's eyes widened when he heard Severus call his uncle an arse. "Daddy! Tha-That's a naughty word!!"
"And he deserves to be called that, honey. I promise, you deserve it, Harry."
"Really?"
"Absolutely."
Harry sniffled a bit before turning around to face the box. He chose to remain in Severus' lap for the time being. "How...?"
"Rip the paper. It's fun, go ahead, this one is from Pappy."
He pulled on the paper a bit, just enough to rip a small whole. He did it again, harsher this time. It made him giggle. Harry continued to rip at the paper, laughing, his sadness forgotten, until it was all off the box, which revealed a-
"TRAIN SET!" Harry exclaimed. "I gots a train! Daddy! Pappy got me a train!!" He turned to Remus with a huge smile on his face, frown long gone. "Thank you, thank you, thank you!!"
"You're welcome, cub. It's the Hogwarts Express, the train students ride on to get to Hogwarts. Neat, isn't it?"
"Hogwarts!?"
"Yeah! Each year, students ride on it from London to get to Hogwarts, and then they ride it back to London to go home," Remus explained. "If you want, when you're eleven, you'll get to ride it, too."
"Really!? I getta ride the train!?!"
"Sure you do!"
Harry laughed and smiled and squealed and he ripped colorful paper and revealed his gifts, hugging his parents many, many times. He almost starting crying he was laughing so hard when he saw the pink hat (complete with cat ears) Remus got Severus.
"You're a kitty an' I'mma doggy!!" he had exclaimed, making the other two burst out in laughter as well.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Ready, Harry!?" Remus asked as he placed the sled at the top of a hill. It was decent in size, though not too tall, so Harry would not get hurt or get frightened.
"W-What if I fall?" he asked. He was bundled in many layers, his doggy hat, and Severus smiled at how cute he was. Not quite innocent, but still cute.
"Well, I'm going to hold on to Severus, who's going to to hold on to you, so none of us will fall, cub."
"What if you fall!"
"We'll just have to place a sticking charm on his bum so he doesn't, bambi!" Severus swung Harry up and threw him a bit, making the boy scream and giggle.
"Again, again!"
"I'll do it again after we go sledding, okay?"
"Okay!"
Harry ran over to the sled, and they got seated just like Remus had said; Remus at the very back, with Severus in front of him (pressed very close together, making both men blush a deep red), and Harry in the front, being held by Severus.
"Is your hat tied on?" Severus asked.
"Yep! Is yours?!"
Severus checked to make sure the pink hate was secure, and nodded. "Yes. Are you ready, bambi?"
Harry looked down the hill. It seemed a lot higher than it did before...
"It looks scary..."
"It's really fun, Harry. Me and Remus both have our wands in case we really need to stop or slow down, okay? But we don't have to."
"Promise we can stop?" Harry asked.
"Promise!"
"O-Okay... yeah... we can do it."
Remus pushed with his hands, and off they were.
Harry screamed and held on tightly to Severus' arms, which were wrapped around his middle, when they picked up speed. He smiled and screamed and laughed. They even hit a small bump, which made them fly for just a second, making him laugh even more.
"AGAIN!!" he exclaimed when they slowed to a stop. "That was fun! Can we do it again!?"
Severus laughed. "Sure we can, bambi! How about I carry you up, and Remus carries the sled? Or Remus could carry you up. Or you could walk."
Harry thought for a moment before making grabby hands at Remus, who took him and rested him on his hip. "Now I can see your hat better!" he said. "I think Pappy should ge' one next! He ca' get a bat!"
"Oh, yeah?" Severus asked, smirking at the blush that was growing deeper on Remus' face.
"Yeah! Bats are pretty an' they can fly like dis!" He started to move his arms up and down, mimicking a flying bat. "An' their cute!!"
"Aww, Remus, he thinks your cute!"
"Shuddup..." Remus grumbled, looking away.
"Oh, don't get all flustered. Want to go again, my little bat?" Severus asked. Harry nodded excitedly, feeling warm and happy.
After a few hours of sledding, Harry decided he wanted to make a snow cat.
"Do you mean snowman?" Remus asked.
"No! A snow cat! Like a snowman, but a cat instead!"
Remus grinned at Severus. "I think we should make a snowman that looks like daddy, what do you think, cub?"
Harry's grin, if possible, grew wider. "YEAH!"
"Remus!"
"What!?"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Harry shook his head. "Wanna sleep with Daddy!" he cried.
"Honey, can we talk instead of yelling, please?" Severus asked softly.
"But... I..."
"Just listen to me for a moment, alright?" Harry nodded. "Remember that box you got this morning? You didn't know what it was, and I told you we'd open it tonight?"
"Y-Yeah...?"
"Well, it's a night light. Do you know what they are?"
"Sort of... D-Dudley had one, I-I think..."
"It's a light you use at night. It makes it so it's dark enough to fall asleep, but light enough that you can see, okay? And this one plays music, too."
"Music?"
Severus nodded. "It plays softer music, like piano. It'll help you get to sleep. So I was wondering if we could try for one night, you sleeping in here. Your door will still be all the way open and so will ours. You'll have all your stuffies, both your blankets plus a quilt, and you can come get us whenever you want or need. Do you think we could try?"
Harry hesitantly nodded. "Yeah... I get three stories before bed? An' you sing?"
"Of course, bambi. Why don't you get your pyjamas on in the bathroom, and then we can go have a small snack before bed, yeah?"
"'Nana?"
Severus chuckled, ruffling Harry's already messy hair affectionately. "Sure, bambi. We can have bananas tonight.
"What'd he say?" Remus asked once Harry went to change.
"He agreed to try it out. As long as he gets three stories tonight and a song."
"Really?"
"It wasn't easy, Remus. Once I suggested it he started crying and begging to sleep in our room..."
"Umbridge... He was so much better, Severus..."
"He is so much better, Remus... I didn't tell you much about how he was before you got here... He was terrified... He was so small and terrified of everything... When I saved him, we went back to Hogwarts, and Poppy told me to set him on the bed so she could do her work..."
"What...?"
"He freaked out... He thought I was going to beat him with a belt..."
"Holy mother of Merlin..."
"Yeah... And I thought he was being raised a king, Remus, a bloody king! If I hadn't found out I probably would've bullied him once he got to Hogwarts! He looks just like... Potter. I... I would've made so many mistakes..."
"But you didn't, and you can't now. You can't make those mistakes. You're right, he is better. Even when I first met him he was hesitant and afraid. He was afraid of being alone in the same room as me. I could see it in his eyes."
"He's still like that with strangers and people he doesn't trust, Rem..."
"The good thing is that he can trust. Before, I doubt he trusted anyone at all."
"Good point..."
"ROAR!" Harry shouted as he jumped into Severus' lap. "I' a d'agon, Daddy!"
"Oh, no! A big scary dragon, whatever shall I do!?" Severus played along.
"I will just have to tickle the big, scary dragon, then!" Remus joined in. Soon, Harry was screaming and laughing.
"Moony, Moony, i-it ti-tickles-" He cut himself with another scream of joy. "I' a good dragon, Pappy! I a good one!"
"Oh, yeah?"
"Yeah!"
"Well, I guess I shouldn't tickle you anymore..." Remus picked Harry up off the bed and threw him up a bit, caught him, and set him in Remus' lap.
"I flied! I flied like a dragon!!" Harry exclaimed.
"You did, didn't you!" Severus and Remus exclaimed in unison.
"Yeah!!"
"You know, one day, when you're at Hogwarts, guess what?" Severus whispered excitedly.
"What?" Harry whispered back.
"You're gonna learn how to fly on a broom."
Harry's face lit up instantly. "Really!? I really gets to fly! Like Qui... Qua... Kat..."
"Quidditch, Harry. And yes, like the people who play Quidditch. If you're good enough you could even play Quidditch, Harry! Doesn't that sound fun!"
"Yeah! I wanna do the ball thrower!"
"Good choice, Harry. Now, let us go get some 'nanas!"
"'Nanas!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Hush, my Harry, don't say a word... Daddy's gonna buy you a mockingbird..." Severus started to sing quietly, rocking both him and Harry in the rocking chair. Harry sat next to him, eyes already drooping as he listened to Severus' deep, melodic voice and rocked back... and forth... back... and forth...
"And if that mockingbird don't sing... Pappy's gonna buy you a diamond ring... And if that diamond ring turns brass... Daddy's gonna buy you a looking glass... And if that looking glass gets broke... Pappy's gonna buy you a billy goat... And if that billy goat don't pull... Daddy's gonna buy you a cart and bull... And if that cart and bull turn over... Pappy's gonna buy you a dog named Rover... And if that dog named Rover won't bark... Daddy's gonna buy you a horse and cart... And if that horse and cart fall down... Well, you'll still be the sweetest little Harry in town..."
Harry yawned as Severus began to tuck him into bed. "Daddy..." he said tiredly. "What's a looking glass?"
"A looking glass is the same thing as a mirror, bambi."
"Why... why is it called that?"
"It sounds..."
"Pretty..."
Harry let out another yawn and turned on his side, holding Lily and Batty to his chest. After a few moments, Severus could hear soft snoring, and he knew Harry had fallen asleep.
"Precisely, Harry... It does sound pretty."
He turned on the night light, which shone starts on the ceiling and walls, and played soft, soothing piano. He removed Harry glasses and set them on the desk, before lightly kissing Harry's hair.
"Goodnight, bambi."
He made sure Harry's door was open all the way, along with his own, before going to the bed he was sharing with Remus. The wolf had been reading a book. He slipped a bookmark in the pages and set it down on the nightstand.
"How was it?"
"He went to bed okay. After those voices you did, even without the song he would've gone to bed fine... Where did you learn to do voices like that, anyhow?"
"When I was a Prefect, and the new first years would come, there would always be two or three that could not fall asleep," Remus started. "As students, we couldn't give them potions unless their parents said it was alright, and we didn't learn about the new first years until the morning after. So, I, being the only one able to handle crying children... The rest just wanted to go to bed...

While the story utilises stats, it doesn't take them seriously and occasionally makes fun of regular LitRPG mechanics.

Forgotten Dungeon
Death comes quickly and without warning. Even for such little personage as him. It's quite hard to start as a dungeon core. Quite harder when divine bureaucracy simply dumps you in the a** end of nowhere because of their incompetence and because of your agent status as a Fallen Angel. Yet Uno (temporary name) is used to working with subpar materials and making the best of circumstances. It doesn't help that his personality was cut down to size, but he tries to overcome the system with ingenuity and a healthy dose of duct tape. Or the local equivalent of such. *** An audiobook of the Forgotten Dungeon story has been made by Agro Squerrils and is available on YouTube, under this link: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLcfzFNUhrNS3Z7DfjN5pMWn-CI1uKg3s2 He has my permission and full support for doing so, so don't be shy and check it out! *** Hello people! It's a story about a dungeon. Or maybe the dungeon? Who knows. Dumped in a hostile world, working hard to overcome circumstances. There is an RPG system in place, but I'll try to make it not number-heavy. I would be more focused on skills - at least from the perspective of the sentient races. Dungeons will have their own little playground. I'll try to make MC not overpowered - it always irks me how the stories tend to go from zero to hero in a few minutes. I hope y'all will enjoy the ride! *** Also, a Discord server has been made recently: https://discord.gg/sK2pam3 Join and share your opinions, if interested! :)
