Adam: Where are you?! I stopped by the orphanage!!
(Y/N): I went on a little road trip with my friends.
Adam: How dare you not tell me about it?!
(Y/N): You aren't the boss of me.
(Y/N): I don't have to run anything by you
(Y/N): So maybe change your tone there
Adam: I'm sorry
Adam: It's just, I wanted to tell you that the exchange program is ending in a week
Adam: I'm leaving
(Y/N): What???!!!
You had been tapping you foot against the floor of the Thunder-Van for half of the time you had been on the vehicle, and the other half you were either reading or sleeping.
The ride to Metroburg was 10 hours and while you only had 2 hours of the ride left, you wanted to get your butt off these seats. So, your relief was really immeasurable when Hank had pulled up into a gas station and handed you 20 dollars, asking you to pick up a few packets of crisps for all of you.
You quickly snapped your book shut and scrambled out of the car towards the convenience store and pulling out your phone. You had been waiting for nearly 4 hours to call Adam. As much as you treasured Hank and Barb, you just couldn't freak out to Adam over the phone with them listening to your conversation.
You anxiously waited for him to pick up and hoped they didn't think you were taking too long.
"Hello?"
"Hey (Y/N)."
"You're leaving?"
He sighed, "Yeah, the first semester is up, I need to go home."
"B-But, you can't go."
Your voice began to waver painfully, your throat started to close up and you pinched your eyes closed to prevent tears from falling.
"I need you, you're my only family Adam. Please don't go."

"(Y/N)...."
"Please."
He sighed again, and you could tell he was raking his fingers through his hair, "It's not up to me, (Y/N). I was here as an exchange student and now that the program is over, I have to leave,"
Any practicality you had was lost. You were now one of those children who wanted something even though it was out of their control.
"But just because the program is ending, doesn't mean we have to be separated."
"What do you mean?"
"You can come back with me, (Y/N). I took your advice and thought it over and I realized that there is nothing I want more than you as a sister."
Your shoulders went slack with shock, "I..."
"I didn't want to spoil your trip, just think about it okay? But whatever you decide, we'll be the same as before, okay? Nothing will change our relationship, okay?"
"Okay." You muttered, hanging up. What question you had said okay to, even you didn't know.
Pocketing your phone, you dragged your feet to the van and slid into your seat, curling yourself up and leaning against the table, pretending to be asleep.
Hank and Barb shared a look and decided to stay quiet, because it was obvious that chips were the last thing on your mind.
"(Y/N), sweetie, wake up." Barb murmured, shaking you awake.
You blinked sleep away from your eyes, "Are we here?"
She nodded, "Yeah, we're at the hotel."
Slugging out of your seat, you latched yourself onto her, letting her pull you to the hotel lobby. Instantly, hushed murmurs and violent whispers bounced upon the marble floor. Obviously, Thunderman and Electriss were a pretty big deal.
You faintly heard people ask who you were, which managed to wake you up.

Who were you exactly?
The daughter of Electriss' best friend who died a tragic death, so she feels some kind of obligation to protect you?
The girlfriend of Thunderman's son, so they think that they should give you as much empathy as they can afford?
A close friend of the family's?
If you didn't have your own parents, then did that mean you would spend the rest of your life shamelessly accepting these obligations they need to fulfill?
Would you always feel like your between two worlds, with both trying to pity you, but neither accepting you?
Chewing your lip in deep thought, you followed Hank towards the counter as he booked a suite with two rooms. The person behind the counter, obviously in awe, immediately scrambled to book his room.
You hadn't a shred of doubt that even if all the rooms were taken, in the name of Thunderman, they would throw someone out.
And the person who got kicked out would feel honored.
Since Hank's hands were busy with his wife's and your bag, you grabbed the key card and turned to leave when,
"If you wouldn't mind sir, I'm a big fan, could you—?"
Hank smiled with pride, "Of course. Thunderman Away!"
Barb rolled her eyes and pulled you close, leading you to the elevators.
'Would I chose this new life, over Adam?' You thought, watching the elevator doors close as you clutched the key card between trembling fingers.
Or more likely, could you possibly chose the life you have over something you've wanted your entire life, family?

8 157Gallanor (On hiatus)
In the year 2036 the theory of ejection was proposed. Ejection is the process of transferring a persons entire being from one universe to the next closest one. Once done this theoretical process cannot be reverted. Darren Tower the first person to ever eject finds himself in Gallanor a inhabitable world in the Universe adjacent to his own. Unaware that his arrival will set in motion a chain of events that will shake this world and his own to their cores.
8 137Deviant Rule
When their world changed, everyone began chasing the same thing. The emergence of an energy that could make you strong enough to take anything you wanted changed everyone. They blinded themselves to a part of the world's new truth. For them, the only truth was that the powerful would rule the weak. Alius was someone different from all of them. A deviation from the plan. It made him hated. His only question was why? Why did they think his path was wrong? Maybe... they were the ones who had made a mistake. (The warnings are mainly to give myself creative freedom in the future. While we're here, I would also like to warn you that there will be a decently chaotic release schedule. Add that to the first-time experience and you have a crappy story that might get better. Enjoy what you can!)
