《Boxer Girl》1. Meet My Life.

"MAIA!" I hear a voice scream from afar. I squirm under my very comfortable blanket and try to cover my ears, until I feel my bed being invaded by a huge body.

"Maia." A voice whisper next to my ear. I recognize it as my twin brother, Mason.

"Go away!" A say with my words being muffled by my very-loved pillow.

I heared him sigh and ask, "are you sure you want to be late for your first battle after you won your belt back?" He asked. "I don't think I would let you." And as the words came, water came flooding all over my face.

You see, one of the reasons why I hate my twin brother is this: the water was freezing, and had some ice cubes in there. How I would love to grab the closest weapon and finish his life once and for all.

"I'm going out with Alicia today! And it's still the morning, and it's Sunday! Why do you hate me, twin brother!" I said in one breath and fumes coming out of me that could boil the freezing water I was drenched by.

"Oh no, no, no!" He said as he got closer. "There's a big game tonight! There's no going out. You and I are going to train in an hour, so you better call Alicia and apologize." He said sternly in a voice I knew there was no discussion. I hated that too.

"Hey, Maia?" A voice called from my door, I looked to see Justin standing there, with an apron around his waist, "what is Alicia doing here?" he asked.

I looked at them both slightly freaked out as I answered, "Alicia and I are going shopping."

"Nope, you are not." Said Shawn, my third brother, as he peeked over Justin's shoulder, then left. So much for being my favorite brother.

"Please!" I looked at both Justin and Mason with pleading eyes, hoping they would fall for my smolder. I know I mastered it, because even my dad falls for it, and he's the hardest to convince in this household. "I just want to have some girl-time. After I won my belt, I want a break, and actually have fun like a teenager, a normal teenager. Please!"

"Ugh fine, whatever. She's all yours Mason." Said Justin as he left the room and went back to making breakfast.

I directed my look o Mason perfectly, who was easily cracked by the look, "I just want a day out with Alicia." I said in a baby voice.

"Fine!" He grumbled, "but you have to be at the arena three hours before the show starts, I'll bring your costume with me."

I jumped out of bed, making sure he gets some water on him as I hugged him saying, "thank you, thank you, thank you."

"Get away from me," he said shirking away and leaving the room, "you better win today's battle as payback." And he left.

Immediately, I started changing out of my clothes, and into the shower. After a quick one, I got dressed, and left the room with money in a pocket, and cellphone in the other. I need nothing else in my opinion.

As I got down, the heavenly smell of Justin's cooking reached my nose, making my stomach grumble for his food. I sat on one side of the table, to find my best friend sitting on the other, finishing half her food already.

"Amazing, isn't it!" She gushed at whatever, which I knew she would tell eventually. I gave her a pointed look, and she spilled the beans out, "how your brother is an amazing cook, but you can't boil eggs." She said flushed.

"Yeah, whatever." I said and stuffed my mouth with one of Justin's muffins. "You comin' or what?" I asked as I headed to the door.

"Yeah," she ran after me.

"Don't be late!" Screamed Mason from behind us before I closed the door, and I didn't bother answering.

"This is going to be so much fun!" Gushed Alicia as we entered her red vehicle. I loved riding it, mainly because of the air conditioner she never think about turning it off.

After a few songs on the road, we reached the mall. The day being Sunday, it was full of people because of the weekend, due to the stacked parking lot.

Inside, as soon as we were engulfed by the cool air, I let out a sigh of content. It was the begining og the year, which meant that it was still hot.

"I'm hungry." Was the first thing I ever said.

Alicia gave me a blank look and muttered "pig" under her breath.

"Fine! a few shops and then food." I said pouting.

"Good girl." She grinned ruffling my hair.

"Hey!" I screamed. "Not the hair babe, not the hair!."

And that's how we spent the rest of the day. Goofing off, eating, and we went to watch a movie as well.

Soon enough, time hit three forty five, and panic hit me. I had to go to the arena in fifteen minutes, or Mason will be mad. So I apologized to Alicia, and took the bus to the arena.

In there, I saw Mason standing in the middle of the ring, hitting a boxing bag that stood helplessly in the very middle of the gym. "You're on time. Good girl." He said teasingly as he finally gave mercy to the bag.

"Did you bring in my costume?" Was the first thing I asked.

"Of course. I'll never risk giving you a chance to kill me." He said grinning sheepishly.

"Yeah, because you and I both know that I'm way better than you are." I said mockingly acknowledging the fact that I actually beat him two years ago before we both started our boxing training.

"Okay, stop chatting girly. Time to train." He said taking big gulps of his water bottle.

We spent the three hours training, the first two we took turns on helping the other and giving instructions. But when the third hour hit, I went to the changing room for ladies, and put on my costume, which was made specifically just to hide my face. I really don't want students to know I box.

After changing into my pink and green shiny costume, I returned to the gym, where my trainer was already. With her help, I was prepped for the match.

The thing is, last week, I won the Ladies Champion belt, and now, all women in this company are going to do their best to get my belt. And I'll do my best to keep it mine.

The matches began. I could hear the thrilling voice of cheers coming from outside. It was what always pushed me forward, being loved.

Today, I was assigned to face my rival from last week's match. She can't be more anxious about getting the belt back. I saw her with her trainer in their assigned room. She looked scared, and the black eye I gave her last time was still there. Her coach was trying to calm her down. It was hard.

As I was sitting in my own assigned room, I could hear the announcer's voice calling for today's first match. It was Jace's.

I remember him telling me yesterday about how excited he was for today's match, and how he looked forward to it, hoping it would get him faster to the top. He has won a few belts of his own, but wasn't able to keep them, and lost some in short time period. But at times, he could knock his rivals unconscious with his fists.

Time went on, and all I could do was wait for my match to come.

Eventually, I heard a knock, so I diverted my sight from the TV that showed who was playing to the door, where I saw my father leaning on the door frame smirking at me in his business suit.

"Daddy!" I said enthusiastically as I jumped and went to hug him.

"Hey, baby girl." He said hugging me back.

"I thought you were busy." I said as I retreated a few steps and let him in. "You know, managing the company and stuff."

He looked at me and let loose a small chuckle, "well, even if I'm running this company, that doesn't mean I can't take a break to have a chat with my daughter." He said smiling. "After all, you're working for me." He said after a while.

"Well, it's not my fault you own a boxing company. I didn't encourage you in your younger age." I said pouting jokingly. "Besides, I want to." I finished grinning.

"I know," he said giving me a sided hug. "And I'm proud of you." He said, then whispered in my ear, "more than your brothers, but keep it a secret." And he winked at me with a grin causing me to burst out laughing.

A knock on the door caused our gazes to divert to it, and there, I saw my coach standing and she said, "come on, it's time." And I stood with my father, whose arm was still around my shoulders, and gave me a small peck before he left and said, "good luck."

Before I left the room, my coach, Lois, handed me my belt. "Wear it." She said, and started walking.

Soon enough, I was in the middle of the ring, I could hear the sound of cheers mostly calling my name, and ignored the 'bio's that were faint. I mean, my rival was blonde, this could be the only reason they prefer her over a brunet.

With that thought, I handed the belt to the referee, and prepared for the match.

"And the winner is... Red Death." Said the announcer as the referee got hold of my hand and through it out in the air.

With a grin on my face, I through the other hand in the air, and took a deep breath to congratulate myself for another win.

The cheers were deafening, and the look on my fans' faces was worth the sweat and bruises. And the minor cut at the right corner of my lips. But all the pain faded when I could feel the love of everyone around, with the flags and sheets the were practically throwing in the air.

Soon enough, I was on my way back to my assigned room, to be tackled by four bodies as soon as the door opened.

"Congratulations!"

"Great job."

"Nice punches out there!"

"You're the best."

I heard all that at once when I was on the Floor that it was outstanding I could even understand what my brothers say.

And then, the voice of my father calling, "leave her alone, you're going to kill the poor thing!" Got them to let go of me, and saved me from chocking to death.

The second I was up, I was tackled again in a hug, but this time by my father who said, "great job. I'm proud of you." With a grin on his face.

"Thanks daddy." I answered.

Now that all of us finished working today, it was time to go back home. Back to my second life.

"Come on! We're gonna be late!" Screamed Alicia as I was running out of the house with one of my sneakers on, the other in my hand, a toast in my mouth, and my bag barely slung over my shoulder that it could fall any second. It was in fact Justin's fault that we went to sleep very late, claiming that today was a winning day, since all of us who had a match, won it.

But it doesn't matter now. At school, I have to put the winner's life on hold until next Sunday. Or until a private time with those stupid siblings I am forced to have. Not that I hate them.

Luckily, I got to Alicia's car without tripping. I must be very lucky today.

"What's gotten into you? It's not cool being late in the second week's Monday at school. Definitely not." She said with sarcasm mixed anger in her voice, and started to drive.

"I'm sorry," I said pleadingly, "I was up late because of Justin. And he's really good at keeping us up if he just wanted to, without even working for it!" I said annoyed with the thought of that brother.

"Justin's hot!" Said Alicia out of nowhere, and a look of disgust was all I could master at the moment.

I slowly looked at her, to find that her left hand was covering her mouth, eyes saucers, and blushing as red as a very delicious water melon, you know, because they mostly are red.

"Eew." Was all I said after a few moments of silence. "Just eew. Don't ever, ever say those words in front of me." I said teasingly.

That's the thing about Alicia. What's on her mind is straight out of her mouth. There's no barrier. Being the genius she is, it put her in good places at school, but in situation like this one, she's lucky I love my life and don't want to die yet so I couldn't kill her while she's driving.

By this time, we reached the school, and I saw the grimace on Alicia's face, I know it was because she's embarrassed. And I know the solution. As soon as she took step by my side, I sneakily put out my finger, and started tickling her in her side, causing her to giggle, and my face to redden from caged laughter.

"Stop it!" She screamed while slapping my fingers away, causing some students from the parking lot to divert their gazes to us, causing both of us to redden. "I think it's 'be a tomato' day today." I said as soon as we entered the school doors into the halls.

"Later. Meet you at my locker." I said as she went her way laughing. Homeroom is closer to my locker, so I wait for her at mine's since we share the same one.

After I exchanged books, and took the ones needed until lunch, I rested my back to the now closed locker, and waited for Alicia. Seconds later, I could see her figure from afar, and started to walk to meet her halfway.

We entered the homeroom chatting about how she spent the day after I left her. Her younger brother, who's only seven-years-old, just started first grade, and he could never be more excited about it.

And that's how the day went by, from class to another, until the class before lunch, Algebra, which I suck at. Usually Mason would help me, but lately, he was busy with his new girlfriend, so I had no one. Unfortunately, the whole week last week sucked, which caused Mrs. Quinn to call me after class.

"I swear I didn't kill anybody." I said as soon as everyone was out of class, or I thought so.

"Now I'm starting to doubt you did." She said jokingly. "You surely did kill something anyways." She said and lifted a paper that was sitting on the desk.

It was the test we did last week, with a big red F next to my name on it.

"Oh, God." I said grimacing. "I must now kill Mason's new girlfriend so he could actually have time for his twin." I muttered under my breath.

"That's why I called you. So you won't need to kill her, I assigned you a tutor. The smartest in class. Johnathan Singer. Even though Geometry landed you in this class, doesn't mean that if you keep failing Algebra won't descend you, and we don't want that, now do we?" She said pointedly. I know it's not common, but Geometry was always easier than Algebra to me. I loved the shapes in general.

I turned around and saw a guy whose a few inches taller than me. He wore thick glasses and a size or two bigger clothes than his real size. He was holding the books in one hand, even though it took me both my hands, the book was truly heavy.

"Have fun." She said as she shooed us out.

The two of us walked a little, until I finally decided to start a conversation, "so, let's arrange this thing," I said with a welcoming smile.

"Okay." He said in a low voice. Then started diverting to the left until he stopped at a locker, apparently his.

"Is it okay if we meet at my house after school, or you prefer the library?" I started asking. "It doesn't matter on my behalf."

"I prefer your house," he said, "I don't like old places like the school's library." He said with a look of disgust on his face.

"Okay!" I said, "after school, wait for me outside." and with that I left.

Well, that's new to me. I thought to myself, because I was never tutored. But still, I like new experiences. It's thrilling. And with that thought, I opened the cafeteria door and headed to sit with Alicia.
