Dark but radiant

Dismally obtuse

Arousal with the sly smile

Confusion as to yes or no

Encumbered by fear of rejection

Was I on the wrong trajectory

I miss all the signs

If you were the sea and I a captain

I would be forever lost

Thrown around by your calms and crests

Is there a safe harbor to rest

I finally understand why the sea is a woman

Even the best navigators

Can be capsized by a rogue storm

And yet we come back to face fear and danger

Because once the storm subsides

And the calming tides reside

There is no place we would rather be

Than with our lady

The Sea.
