This world is too

much, the words

pour out freely from

the mouths of strangers

and all I have left inside

of me is absolutely nothing

but remorse and sadness

built up with tiny branches

of lost hope, of me.

And then the moment

of truth knocks on my

door, I can get better,

can't I?

There has to be a way for me to

open up my mouth and say all of the

things I wish to say. I mean, after years

of my voice being trapped inside

the cage of pink lips, it faded

away...but there has to be

a way where a rope will

tighten around my voice

and yank it back. Right?
