you stab and burn.

Your smile pulls

back the trigger;

your words

put holes

into my chest.

Unfortunately,

I forgot to wear

my bulletproof vest,

so you stain my shirt,

leaving a bloody mess.

Your voice is a melody

leaving me lost

in a state of ecstasy

as I sit here breathlessly.

You're all I desire,

my soul is on fire,

so I sit here

and endure your

brutal gunfire.

But you treat me like

your prey,

yet I decide to stay,

letting my feelings

cloud my judgment;

get in the way.
