as the water trickles

off of rooftops

onto the cracked pavement below.

You feel the glorious warmth

from the yellow mass

brush against your skin.

A rainbow emerges

from within the moist,

dense atmosphere;

you realize all the agony

has evaporated into the

lovely, mysterious

sky.
