《Lost in the woods:A Silmarillion fanfic》Menegroth

Even i was really curious to try the Teleri food I desided to rest.
After all of these my social battery was empty and I could not continue socializing with anyone.
Everyone else went to the meal except me and Tristan.
Some servants of Thingol's led us to the chambers which were prepared especially for us and were seperate from the other where Silvan elves lived.
I tried to memorize the path so I could find my way through the long corridors of Menegroth afterwards but few turns later I got so confused I desided to abandon the idea.
The servants showed us our rooms and told us before leaving to call them through the silver bell each room had beside the bed if we wanted anything.
When I got into my room I went straight to the bed without even examining my surroundings almost forgetting the door open.
"Get some rest my lady!" Tristan whispered from outside while closing the door I've had forgot opened.
"Sure I'll" I grunted and rolled over.
Finally I was in Doriath...I wanted to see and do so many things but I had no energy to even change my clothes.
I thought I had enough time to do anything later since everything went fine. And I slept.
A small Timeskip~~~
When I woke up few hours later I spend some time to "explore" my room.
I was used to sleep in a tent for a long time and it was kinda strange sleeping on a comfortable king-size bed in a room with a steady roof.
The walls and each furniture was decorated with leaf-like patterns and the sheets of the bed were woven with golden and silver strings. I couldn't even imagine how King's room was.
After the investigation I chose a simple dress from the wardrobe to wear and walked out of the door with confidence.
My batteries had recharge and I was ready to explore the caves of Menegroth.
Tristan who heard my door closing came out of his room still dressed with his previous clothes.
"You're going somewhere? You want me to escort you my lady?"he asked offering me his hand.
"No , its alright! I'll be fine! But you better get some rest too!" I refused politely.
I wanted to explore myself the caves . I was really curioys if I could meet a dwarf from the blue mountains there or an elf from the harbor. well my walk didn't go as fine as i thought.
After a few turns I got completely lost in the corridors .At least at first.
Thankfully there were a lot of elves roaming around in the halls chatting or going to their jobs to ask for directions. But I had no certain destination in mind so I continued wondering just admiring the scenery.
While I was sitting by a small crystal fountain to take some rest (again) from my long walk an elf approached me.

He sat beside me in silence and then looked at me and smiled.
"So you're one of the ladies of the North?"he asked.
"Uh..Yes I am"
"We heard the news about you days before you arrived at the King's halls.."
"I know.. I'm relieved now that all the elven clans are united again.."
"Maybe are you lost? May you want me to show you the way?"
"No, I'm not lost!I was just wondering around!" I explained.
"May you want me to show you Menegroth?"He asked again looking at me straight in the eyes.
"There's no need wasting your time.."I muttered
"Nahh I'm not wasting my time!..but do you know about the Golden Founden of the King?!Or the great Hall of the Old Stories?! "
"..I saw nothing like this till now.."
In the books Tolkien didn't describe in such details the caves of Menegroth.
"Just as i thought! Let me show you around my lady" he said and offered his hand.
"Wait...wait a minute..Whats your name?" I asked him still hesitating with my desision. Even i was safe inside the Kings Halls I'd just met him...
"I don't think it matters... I'm Einar"
"And I'm Ale- ahm..Niquelotë! Nice to meet you!"
Einar grabbed my hand and led me through the halls where he said. He showed me the Golden Fountain of The King and the Hall of the Old stories and many other, all of these inside the caves of Menegroth.
Still I didn't saw dwarves as I hoped in the beginning but the most of my wishes where fulfilled this afternoon.
Einar was a free spirited and funny elf to hang out and I really appreciated the fact that he approached me first.
But all the good things come to an end and after a half day walking around I had to return back to my room.
I was starving ,considering that I didn't eat lunch as the others ,and my feet felt sore and numb.
I said goodbye to Einar giving him the promise that well meet agsin and i took the way to my room.
Unfortunately I took the wrong stairs and instead of going up i went to the lower floors which were almost empty in the night as the most of the elves were outside on the forest .
And then while wondering once again in the corridors I saw a piece of white shiny cloth slithering in the floor while turning right.
"I didn't expected us to meet here ..but I planned us to do so one day.."I heard a voice from the place where the long cloth was coming. It was soothing and deep and musical.. must have been be an elleth.
"Ehm.Im sorry.I got kinda lost down there I don't know who you're looking for" I muttered completely confused.
"No I'm sure I was looking for you..It happened to meet earlier than the expected but theres no problem...unless you want to leave.." the voice said coming closer .

From the shadows of the silent corridor i saw Melian herself standing in front of me.
"Your magesty!" I mumbled and bowed ."What are you doing down there? Oh.. Is this the way from yoir room maybe? Im so sorry i got lost while searching my way back to my room.." I explained.
"It's alright.. There's no need worrying. But i want you to anwer me this.."
"What is it your magesty?"
"Will you follow me?"
"..follow you?"I asked confused.
"There's some things i want to tell you and I can't say it in the midfle of the pathway.."
"Oh you're right.."
"If you don't want I'll call the servants to lead you back we'll speak another time..'
"No.. I'll come now"
Melian nodded in silence and then started walking.
I followed her quietly still full of questions. I wasn't in the best condition but i had some energy left to walk. If it wasn't her i would definitely had denied such a request.
It didn't took long and few minutes later we arrived in a room.
It was small and had a small pool in the middle with the water filling it caming from a fountain in the wall .Few torches around the walls created a twilling.
I definitely had not sign up for nightly pool party.
"So..Whats that you want to talk about your magesty?"I asked her.
"I want to know..why you're different from the others" she said looking at me in the eyes
"What do you mean?!.."I tried to remain calm. Could it be possible to see my ears? I had my hair down all the time!
"I know you're not an elf or a Maia so you must be what Eru said to be the Second Race to Come..a Human.."
"How did you?...Did..Is it too obvious?"I stuttered pulling mechanically a strand of my hair.
"No.. it's not that obvious for an elf but for a Maia..."
"It was not intented to keep it a secret from you your Magesty. We just thought revealing it too early will cause a commotion"
I tried to explain.
"I understand... There's no need to be afraid of us. I was just curious why a Human awoken so early.."
"Its really more complicayed than you think...Really the Human race has awoken when the first rays of the Sun touched Arda ...but im not one of them.."
I couldn't lie to her as she was a Maia. Other elves may couldn't see my heart byt she definitely could.
"Is that so..."she looked calm yet thoughtfull.
"I didn't saw anything to come like that... that's why I was consered ..." She said and filled the silver plate which was besides the pool with water.
It must have been one of the streams blessed by Ulmo Valar of Water.
She looked at it for a moment and then looked at me again.
It was a mirror seeing the future like the one Galadriel had in Lotr.
"I came here to find anwers for myself too. Im just as igorant of my presence here as everyone else. I though because youre a Maia you could see the reason behind my arrival here..."
"Oh... Thats the reason.."
"I really dont know why the Valars send me here.."I muttered.
"Dont think that I can anwer you rightly becauseim only a servant of the Valar. Only Mawne knows what Erus plan is and him not always..But I can do something different"she said and and raised her mirror.
"I'll look through my mirror where a
The fate strings connect and see if I can help you"
"Im not a fortune teller or a god.. I'll give an advise only from what i see..its your desision afterwards"she c
added and then she looked again into her mirror staying in silence.
"Thats weird...the paths long ago were clear now have thrumbled and changed ..."she muttered after a while staring into the water.
"What do you mean?Did something bad happen?!"
"Nothing happened yet.. the future is unstable as always ..but the roots of the fates arent the way they were..."
"I-... is this my fault?"I asked a bit afraid for what she'll say next.
"I could not consider it as a fault rather as a change..the fate changes with free will but at the same time doesn't... I'll give you my word"
"Dont spend time thinking the reason behind all of this because it doesn't matter anymore... Nothing will change when you look at the past you lost.. I'm not telling you to forget.. but don't let the shadow of the past cover your future..You came here and made choises . Then and now you continue to make choises.. you choose of free will or not..this choises will lead you..you goals will draw the route of your choises but it doesn't goes always this way as others choises entwine with yours...Now I want you to think about what you want truly to do here"
"I just want the best for everyone but I want it not possible"
"Many thinks we consider imposible happen every day..so don't loose hope.. even if the road you walk is dark in the end you may reach the light you seek.. To change fate you need to change yourself...with knowing who you are and where you're going to"
I nodded in silence.
"Thank you for the advice your majesty"
"I didn't finish! I'll give you a gift and a final wish".
From her pocket she pulled out a small shiny gem.
"Come closer"She waved.
Then she pressed the gem upon the Star I wore, The star representing House Feanor.
"As the starts lead the way to Eldars may you become a star too that leads them"
To be continued...✳️

Ursus Ex Machina
Ozzy was a man of the wild. Raised in a remote village atop the world's mightiest mountain, he'd been taught to respect and revere the natural world. The realm he was born into had been there long before him, and it would remain there long after him. Sure, there was the occasional madman who threatened to destroy it, but such boasts were always empty. No one individual was actually capable of demolishing this beautiful blue-and-green ball Ozzy called home. No matter what terrible magics these villains wielded, they were incapable of causing permanent harm to the environment. Even if the planet was completely devastated, it would recover. Life would find a way to flourish, same as it always had. That was what Ozzy believed from the bottom of his heart, so he never once felt the need to save the world he loved. After all, it was never truly in danger. The world would be fine no matter what. The people were a wee bit endangered, but that was another story altogether. However, what would happen if Ozzy suddenly found himself devoid of his beloved wilds? What would the man do if the realm he knew - one of wonder, magic, and chaos - was replaced with a man-made environment of concrete, industry, and steam? Ozzy could never imagine such a thing happening, and yet that was his new reality. After losing a fateful confrontation with a mad wizard, he and his friends found themselves transported to a strange world so thoroughly alien that every waking moment feels like a fever dream. Separated and scattered to the four corners of this land, each of these adventurers will need to adapt, survive, and overcome if they hope to reunite. They would also need to do so quickly. The sooner they are able to find one another, the sooner they can figure out a way back home and have another crack at putting an end to the villain's plans. Whether such a thing was actually possible in a world with barely any magic in it was a valid concern, but Ozzy had more immediate things to worry about. For instance, why did the air smell like a perpetual forest fire? How did ships sail through the sky as if it were water? And most importantly, was the pavement he was hurtling towards at high speed much softer than it looked? Probably not, but a man could hope.

Protagonist: The Whims of Gods
Book one now also on Amazon! After quitting her job as a therapist and grabbing some work at a dog shelter, Tess's life became pretty slow. A tad boring, even. It thus came as no small surprise when she was chosen by a god. Thrust into a new world where magic, monsters, and character levels are suddenly a reality, Tess will quickly find that just surviving can be a challenge. It doesn't help that dark forces are stirring, she's woefully underpowered, and that spiders keep trying to claw her face off. One thing's for certain, though: The possibilities are endless. Will she end up wrestling a dragon? Becoming an arch-mage? Opening a quaint, bookstore, coffee shop, and wine bar for elves? The choice is hers... As long as she can live long enough to make it. Protagonist is a fairly classic LitRPG novel with character levels, classes, stats, settlements, and other LitRPG elements. Unlike a lot of LitRPG stories, while the protagonist has some perks, she doesn't start off overpowered. You can expect to see her struggle as she advances. This novel also takes the opportunity to explore some less frequently seen builds, shying away from any min-maxing. Chapters are about ~2000-3000 words and are released at 8:00am ET every other day.

Margrave's Divinity (Rewrite)
Power always comes with a price. Seventeen years ago, obsidian towers thousands of feet tall erupted from the earth near the world’s population centers. When the recently-unemployed college dropout finally manages to get his hands on a Cinder, he is utterly disappointed to find that he will never be an Ember like his father or brother. Before he even has time to process his failure, a strange Ember shoves him through a tear in reality and into the cave of a dragon, where the titanic beast claims to be an ancient goddess of myth and legend. She has a gift for him, but it comes with a warning. War is coming. --- Posting Thursdays and Sundays at 8am Central. Confused about the rewrite? See my letter to previous readers here.
