《Lost in the woods:A Silmarillion fanfic》The ride/3

I surpassed quickly Maglor ,who obviously was going slower for purpose.
The others had stopped in a small hill in the middle of the fields . The were laying in the grass as their horses was around eating.
"Are we late?"
" Not at all ! We just arrived" Celegorm responded.
"So who was the winner of the race?"
"I was of course! You think i would let Fingon win?" Maedhros said behind me with pride and stand on the top of the hill.
"So the winner want his price?" I asked with a smirk.
"Ow yes i almost forgot about thr price! what's the price?"
"Sandwich" i responded raised my basket. I dismounted from my horse carefully looking quickly behind if Maglor's r was coming and I marched towards the hill.
"The others who lost can't have a sandwich?" Fingon asked.
"I made for everyone don't worry !"
"Keep one for me !" Maglor shouted. Je had just arrived.
"Nah the loosers can't have a price" i replied coldly and turn my back at him.
Maedhros gave me a glance and raised an eyebrow.
".."
"Im just kidding here you are!"
I gave a sandwich to everyone to eat even Caranthir and sat in the grass to eat mine near Maedhros.(yeah we're talking about many sandwiches they are a big family)
Maglor sat on the right side.(Maedhros was from my left side) So actually i was like a sandwich. Between thean i liked and the man who had i crush on me.
What a great choice I made.
"What about a song?" Maglor suddenly suggested.
"A song challenge?" Fingon asked.
"Not a challenge again! Just a song"
"A song always fit with good food and companions!" Finrod said taking out of nowhere his golden harp.
"You'll join me cousin?" Maglor asked Finrod .
"Who else is gonna help us?" Finrod asked .
Galadriel poked her brothers as Fingon did with Turgon(Aredhel wasn't so good at singing compared to her others skills)
"Let's sing together!" Finrod said giving the sign to start.
And they sang. About the Sun and the Moon, about their fate and their destiny, remembering the past joy while looking at the future.

It was even more magical from the time Maglor sang to me alone.
Many elves singing together couldn't compare to nothing we call singing in our word. It was different.
But it came to an end.
And in the end Maglor holded my hand looking me in the eyes. He had looked at me many times . Although this time i could see from near his eyes was like the stars of Varda was reflecting in them.
And from the other side Maedhros also was holding my hand. But from accident.(Maybe he was trying to search in my basket about another sandwich but he missed because he was focused at Fingon)
I was sure I was as red as a tomato and even more. It was one from the top ten akward scenes i ever experienced.
Then Maglor and Maedhros looked at each other for a moment realising what they both just did. And then they pulled their hands back.
Stare battle between brothers. I wish i had popcorn with me. Or another sandwich.
After the song ended some got bored and in the field above talking. The girls of the team left as well but i desided to stay a little more on the hill. Well Maglor didn't want to leave me alone to go with his brothers.
So he stayed beside me.
It was full embarrassing for me.
"So the time came..." Maglor murmured.
"Yes. But the time passes also..." I continued his sentence with my pessimistic side showing up.
" Well. Yeah tine passes.. I have to talk to you ...."
"Im listening" i replied turning at his side.
"Well all this time I trusted you even when you lied to me I still believed in you. I thought.. i thought..it could be a possibility. But now i see that you're looking on the other side.(he was referring at Maedhros) i must had.. I must had tried.. long ago.... that some paths doesn't cross in our lives as it seems." He looked quite mournful.
"What are you talking about..." I murmured like i didn't know what was happening.

"I... want you to be happy. If you choose my brother I can't stand in your way. But i ll always be by your side. As a friend"
Seriously this day Maglor was acting like he wanted to kill me. He was too pure for me to stand. Such a gentleman.
"Aw... I understand. I'm sorry i didn't tell you anything about my feelings all this time. But i wasn't so sure. I'll be here for you too."
Maglor smiled.
" But the other path you say im looking I don't think i can cross it. A mortal path don't cross with a immortal. Even I wanted to happen"
"When you became so pessimist? Didn't you path crossed with ours when you came here? You always saying to change our destiny don't you? Why don't you believe anymore?"
Well nor i knew why i was so down that day.
"Because i want all of you to be happy. I didn't want to mess that bad. I know i already have."
"Really why you want us to be happy? You never told me why you fell merciful against us even we started a Kinslaying"
"A.. i.."
I couldn't tell him i read a damn book about their fate.
"I'm not gonna read your mind if you don't want me to know"
"I can't explain you even i want. Lets forget this"
Silence fell for a few minutes.
"You know emotions are something above understanding. Something more powerful that magic. They lead us in different paths if we follow them."
"So you tell me to follow-"
"Your heart. I believe you can help us. You already did." He cut me.
"I know. But is a confusing."
"If you need help I'll be there for you"
He said and hugged me.
"Even when the rain starts to pour?" I murmured.
"What?"
"Nothing"
I pulled back first feeling a bunch of different emotions.
"Hey! Alex! Wana join for a small ride! Only girls!" I heard Aredhel yelled at me . They didn't left already?!
I looked at Maglor. I couldn't just abandon him. He nodded.
"Im coming"i yelled back and ran to their direction.
"You'll stay staring like this? Common! Fingon and Maedhros may start a new game ! Come to see !" Celegorm said to his brother appearing suddenly .
"We're the other two? Again commenting the others from corner?"
" Caranthir is taking care for the twins and Curufin and Celembribor went for a Search in the mountains"
"Im not gonna search for them in the middle of the night!"
"Huan is following them dont worry. I could never let them do what their crazy crafty mind was telling them."
"Lets go then"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I climbed on my horse harshly to follow the girls.
"Were we going!?"
"Away from men! Sometimes my brothers get so annoying!"
"I know!"
"What you and Maglor were talking about?"
"Nothing important... don't worry!"
"Sure"
"You know if we haven't this problem with Morgoth i wanted to travel all across thr Middle Earth in the wild ."
"If we wasn't in war.." Idril repeated.
"Well youre still free! Ot isn't that your brothers hokd you back right?" I asked Aredhel.
"Of course not! I stay with the because i know they can't do anything without me! " She laughed.
"Yeah the great warriors don't know basic thinks for living!" Galadriel commented.
"I appreciate you so much really! You're free wonen among men and you hold you head high with your own will. If you were more in the family..." I murmured.
"Then what..?"
"Then propably many thinks could be avoided. But lets not talk about the past lets see the future."
"Yeah. What about a race?"
"Really? Who acts like a child now?" Galadriel asked.
"What content then? Whats your opinion!?" Aredhel turn to my side.
"I don't know. I have no idea in archery or hunting so a race could be easier but we already did one!"
"Ha! Dont be so bored! Lets have fun! The last reaching the lake is a duckling!" She said and started running.
" That's not fair you didn't even count!" I yelled and run behind them
Living in Paradise
The first thing I saw when I woke up was a group of people standing over me shouting "Happy Birthday!!!". Immediately after they start debating what type of world I came from and calling me 'William'. Later on I would learn that everyone here is reborn from another world and many children come with magic or superpowers or other gifts leftover from their old lives. I came from a world that was, to me, typical modernity. To them it was pretty boaring with the only thing interesting about my world being was a higher than average tech level for a non-spacefaring civilization; technology that wouldn't even work in this new world. All I brought with me was a peculiar mindset and the strong suspicion that there must be something more to life. Once everyone started to clear out my mother took me up in her arms, explained how the world works, and then stabbed me in the neck with a knife. I got better. -------------------- This story was written from the central idea of a simple question: What if a videogame like world, with all the normal video-game staples and tropes, was actually a real world? How would that work? How would people understand the universe around them? What sort of weirdness would the world appear to have from the point of view of someone who recognizes the odd nature of the place? And finally, if left to its own devices, how would this type of world ultimately develop?
Dozens survive, walking away with power and wealth beyond their wildest dreams… until they go back for more. One way or another, they all eventually feed the Depths. Edmund Montgomery Ahab has sworn to destroy it. Underleveled, undertrained, and underprepared, Edmund steps into the maw of the world’s greatest predator, a sword in his hand and vengeance on his mind. At first his task seems impossible, but with every level he earns, every piece of loot that drops, every secret he uncovers, and especially every bit of power he can squeeze from his mysterious connection to the Aspect of Madness, Edmund crawls closer to accomplishing that insurmountable feat. With nothing else to lose, Edmund has already given the Depths his life. All that remains to be seen is whether he takes the dungeon’s right back. Dungeon Devotee is an episodic serial. It will never be taken down for KU. Each chapter details a single floor of Edmund’s journey through the vast Eternal Depths, with all the levels and loot and lack of cliffhangers that entails. New chapters come out on the first of each month.
