Hello! My name is Josefine, and i'm from Denmark. I'm 20 years old, and i am autistic.

This book is pretty old (I made this over 4 years ago) and im not an expert, so take everything with a grain of salt. If you want to learn more about what autism is, please look for experts on google or something (I cant even recommend anything because i dont know much, sorry)

Autism is a neurological condition, an invisible handicap in your head. You can't infect others with it, and you can only get Autism, if you're born with it. People with Autism can have a challenging time communicating and socialize with others, and their senses might be more sensitive. Of course, it's different from person to person. A person with Autism can have very sensetive ears, while other people with Autism don't. We're all different. Also, we're all uniqe and special. Some people with Autism can look at a picture once, and then remember everything about it, even after 2 years! Others can solve a tricky math question in less than 5 seconds. Again, it's different from person to person. If you give an Autism person a chance to show what they can do, instead of judging them right away, you'll find that there's a lot more about it. We never asked to be born this way, and we can't change who we are. Now, in this ''Book'' i'll show you 20 drawings of how i see the world, and how i feel everyday. Not every Autism person might experience all these things i've drawn, these are just drawings of my life. I decided to do this, because i haven't seen anyone else do it. I've only seen Parents with Autism children, who has made comics about it, and people who likes to make fun of it, so i wanted to make my own drawings and comics. My drawings are not perfect, so don't get high expectations. I hope you'll enjoy :)
