"Barry, stop making it seem like we have to do this-" I held the two bags of luggage in my hands even despite Barry's protests of trying to hold them for me, as we walked down the hall of Star Labs, "We can easily just stay home."
I was dressed in a black ruffled hem camisole, that ended right where my tan high waisted wide legged pants began, my hair wavy and down my back, sandals on my feet.
Barry stopped and looked at me, also dressed for the vacation, "It's Tahiti, not Iron Heights."
"Barry, we've got too much going on right now to be taking a vacation." I replied, "I mean- Ramsey, and the Crisis- and getting the team on board- getting me on board for crying out loud-"
"Okay, look- it's just two days." Barry reminded me, "Ramsey's been off the grid for two weeks, and Crisis is coming, no matter what."
I open my mouth to speak, but he beats me to it, "I want to spend as much time as I can with my beautiful wife."
"Now, please- let me take you someplace special, where we can have fruity umbrella drinks and get sand between our toes." Barry nuzzled his nose against mine, making me smile lightly, "Please?"
"I could use a little you and me time." I gave in, kissing his nose, "And it's even better when we're going to be on a beach drinking Mai Tai's."
Barry smiles and walks into the cortex with me, where we found Ralph and Cisco behind the console.
Ralph looked over Cisco's shoulder while Cisco pulled a game on his phone, a red licorice in his mouth.
Ralph notices us, "Hey, I thought you guys fathwoomed out of here."
Barry held the luggage in his hand, as I set the bags I held down, "We just wanted to make sure you guys were okay holding down the fort while we were gone."
"We're good, rest easy, lovebirds!" Cisco was relaxed, "Team Leader is my new middle name."
"Cisco Team Leader Ramon." I looked up in fake thought, "Has a ring to you, don't you think?"
Ralph looks down at Cisco, "What was it before?"
Cisco chews on his licorice, "Baracus."
My eyebrows furrow, "As in Barracas, Argentina?"
"No, as in Mr. T." Cisco sat up, "My mom was a big "A-Team" fan."
"Wish mine was." Ralph thought out loud, "Could've been Hannibal Dibny."
"Hannibal? Please." Cisco looked at him, "You're Murdock on your best day."
"You guys have fun." Cisco points at Barry and I, then looks back at his phone, "I'm gonna hold it down with a little help from my friend, the Barry."
"The Barry?" Barry repeats, confused, "I'm standing right here."
"Not you, Barry." Cisco set his phone down and pulled up a little animation of Barry on the monitor screen, "B.A.R.I., Barry Allen Replicated Intelligence."
I gasp in awe, pointing at it, "That's my husband."
Cisco took the licorice out of his mouth, "That's my decision-making algorithm."
"So- if there's a problem, this is gonna tell us what to do?" Ralph questions, looking at the screen.
Cisco seemed proud of this creation, "Yes, and since it's based on his past leadership choices, it'll tell me how to handle any situation exactly like he would."

"Cisco, you beautiful, beautiful soul." I placed my hands on his shoulders, "Being Team Leader means making decisions on your own, not utilizing them from my computerized husband."
Cisco places a hand over his heart, "Let me have my moment."
I put my hands up in surrender, "I'll let you have your moment."
Barry shrugs lightly, "I mean, I'm flattered, I think."
"Exactly how Barry would, hm?" I grew curious, looking at the animation, "What is Barry's favorite thing that I make him for breakfast?"
Barry looks at me, "Uh- banana?"
Cisco clicks the keyboard, a message bubble showing up next to the small Bari, saying exactly what Barry has just said.
I recall the memory, pursing my lips to hold back an embarrassed smile, "I wanna laugh but I'm almost embarrassed that I can barely cook-"
Cisco was pleased, "Who's next?"
Ralph challenges it, "Okay, computer, what's Barry's favorite movie?"
"Empire." Barry answers, as Cisco clicked the keyboard, the Bari saying Jurassic Park.
Ralph exhales deeply, "Oh, thank God."
"Actually I mean, I've loved, loved Empire Strikes Back- my whole life, but now that I think about it oh, my God." Barry looked between us all, "My favorite movie is Jurassic Park."
Cisco points at him in satisfaction, "There it is!"
Barry looks down at the screen, "How does it do that?"
"Fuzzy logic, and AI intuition, my guy." Cisco bit into his licorice, "With the B.A.R.I. by my side, it'll be like you never left."
"Awh, wait-" My palms rested against Cisco's chair, "I could be asking questions to the B.A.R.I. all day-"
"Oh no," Cisco points at me, "You need this vacation."
I put my hair behind my ears and placed my hands on my hips, "I'm fine-"
"Zee, let's go." Barry had picked up all the bags, catching my attention as I reached for some but he refused to give me any.
I sigh and looked at Cisco and Ralph, "Please, call us if you need anything because if you do, we'll be back right away."
Ralph gestured toward the hall, "Barry, get her out of here-"
Cisco calls out, "Send me a post card!"
"Way ahead of ya." Barry grabs me and runs out.
-
The sun was hot against the wood and our exposed bodies, as Barry and I laid in a reclined beach chair, on the porch of the beach house.
We were surrounded by water, as there was a bridge to get to the shore where we could go to the beach and explore the rest of the city, which we had just gotten back from doing.
The water was clear, and it was hotter than I had ever imagined.
I was in a bikini, a lace cardigan around me, Barry in a swim suit as we were both damp from just coming out of the water.
I held a book in my hand, my eyes scanning over the page as I read, Barry's arm around me as I rested in his side.
He looked over my shoulder, his head leaning against mine, reading the book with me.
Barry had done everything since we got here to make sure my mind had been off everything and everyone back home.
He knew how much it hurt me to lose Nora, and now losing him would make the pain worse.

He knew how I was upset about wasting the cure on Ramsey when all he was obsessed with was the fact that he could live forever and defeat HLH as long as he killed.
Ramsey Rosso was just afraid of death:
I was afraid of pain.
Not physical, but emotional.
And Barry knew that.
"Zee, honey-" Barry's voice snapped me out of me thoughts and back to words in my book, "I've read those two pages at least 37 times already."
"Barry!" I suddenly sat up onto my knees, looking at my smirking husband, "I can't speed read like you!"
"You can most definitely read faster, though." Barry shrugs lightly, holding back a laugh, but he couldn't hide the smile.
"I like to invest myself into the books I read." I mark where I was in the book and set it down on the table next to us, where many empty glasses of Mai Tai's rested, "I enjoy my books."
"Are you saying I don't enjoy what I read because I speed read everything?" Barry's eyes squint at me as if he was offended but he was on the verge of laughing.
I cross my arms, holding back my own laugh, "That's exactly what I'm saying."
"You're gonna get it now-" Barry reaches for me, but I jump up immediately.
I ran into the house, "If you enjoyed anything, you wouldn't use your speed to catch me!"
Barry chased after me, "In that case I'm going to enjoy this because I don't need to use my speed to catch you!-"
He had done it again.
-
That night, it felt like we were in a completely different country.
It was like we went from a hot dessert to the freezing Antarctic.
The beach house was cold, and that was intentional.
Barry and I were dressed in head to toe sweats, buried in a blanket in our bed, the only light in the entire beach house being from the moonlight shining and coming through the windows from outside.
I had on mostly Barry's clothes, questioning why I even brought my own when I would wear his.
My cheek was pressed up against his chest, "Are we insane?"
"Maybe." Barry rubs my back, "Who brings sweats on a trip to Tahiti?"
"Only we'd be in sweats and blankets in our beach house with the air conditioning blasting when it's nice and warm outside." I held onto him tightly, looking up at him.
"If we were gonna do this in Tahiti, why couldn't we just do this at home?" I questioned, tracing the letters of the hoodie he was wearing.
Barry's presses his cheek against the top of my head, "Because doing it in Tahiti is so much better."
"You've got a point." I softly yawn, exhausted from the day we had.
The entire day was spent to exploring the city and the beach.
It went to shopping and eating out, swimming and walking around a lot and even when we were out relaxing, getting tans, it felt like we were being burned alive due to how hot it was.
Which was why we have the air conditioner blasting and all the windows and doors closed to maintain the cool.
"Thank you for caring about my well being." I was tired and still slightly drunk from how much I had earlier, hugging my husband tighter.
"You're my wife and I love you more than anything." Barry grabbed my hand while he was holding me, "I'm always gonna care about your well being."
"No, but- you're really amazing." Another yawn left my lips as I spoke, my eyes closed as I could feel myself slip away to sleep more and more, "You took me away on a trip so I can be stressless for two entire days and I think you deserve some sort of award."
"Well, I'm already married to you." Barry kisses my head, "There's nothing more I could ever want."
"No, that wasn't a proper kiss-" I yawn once more, throwing my head back, my eyes remaining shut as I couldn't open them due to how tired I was.
Barry leans in and kisses me for a few seconds, pulling away and adding a kiss my forehead, "Better?"
"Much." I bury my face into his neck, feeling myself slip away and fall asleep completely.
-
"Please tell me you went home at some point." Barry calls out to Cisco when we finally got back, his back turned to us.
Cisco smiles and spun to face us, getting up, hugging Barry immediately, "I knew I smelled SPF 90."
Cisco then hugs me, "How was it?"
"Amazing." I hugged Cisco back tightly, pulling away, "Lots of shopping, and relaxation."
The monitor beeps, Barry looking at the screen, "Yo, Chester's energy level's already up to 87%?"
"Yeah, yeah." Cisco sat down in the seat, as Barry and I set down our bags, "The, uh- the M.A.C.'s gonna be done cooking him up any day now.l
Barry looked down at Cisco, "So- the B.A.R.I. was a success?"
"Uh, actually, I had to get rid of it." Cisco admits, folding his hands together, "I did use it try to use it at first, but over time, I finally realized-"
Then he notices the look on Barry's face, "And you already knew that was gonna happen."
"It's just more proof that you're the right person to lead the team." Barry smiles down at his best friend.
I put my hand over my heart, "Awh, you guys are so cute."
A thought popped into my mind, as I inhale sharply, going back serious, "Cisco, we got your message, about Gypsy- I'm so sorry."
"Some things you never get over." Cisco looked down, "But- her service is next week."
Barry offers, "You want us to come with you?"
"Yeah." I backed him up, "I mean, we loved her, too, she was a friend."
"Thank you." Cisco thanked, "Uh, Kamilla's coming with me, so I'm very lucky to have her."
I smiled softly, "She's really good for you, Cisco."
"Is it wrong to feel that way- I mean, with everything that just happened?" Cisco questions, looking up at Barry and I for an answer, "It's like- I'm moving on, what kind of person does that?"
I crouched in front of him and grabbed his hands, giving him a small smile, "Someone who is very much in love."
Cisco squeezed my hands lightly as a small thank you, "It's funny-"
Cisco's words were deep and hit us all hard, "Cynthia wasn't the person I ended up with, but, um, I think she taught me how to be the person I needed to be for when the right person came along, and for that, I will never forget her."

Necromancer's Knight: a Light in Death
It was dark, pitch black. Where am I? Where was I last? I died. Am I still dead? A light so dim, yet so blindingly bright to me appeared in a vertical line. The line grew wider and wider, all until the stone slab above my coffin was completely removed. I removed it, I lifted it, without even willing it. And my body continued to move until it was outside of the crypt. It was night, but there was a full moon. And a little girl in front of me. She clutched a black book to her chest as if it were the last thing she had left in this world. I've heard stories of this, I imagined the possibility, but I never thought it would happen to me. Tears streaked down her cheeks. She choked the words out. "Please, save my papa!"
