"You better watch yourself, Chad. Come at me at the paintball field next time. I'll kick your little a-" Cisco stops himself, when he sees the mother of the kid he was just dissing at, letting out a nervous laugh, "Hey! Mrs. McConnell. How you doing? Chad's a treasure. He really is."
I ran my hands down my shirt, flattening it out as I sat next to Barry. I was dressed in a pair of blue ripped jeans, something obviously normal, more rips in these jeans then usual, and a white sweater, my hair straight and black converse on my feet.
We had just gotten back from playing laser tag, us seated outside at a picnic table, Joe bringing us our orders, "Pretzel for Caitlin. Corn dog for Iris, two franks for Cisco-"
"Yes, thank you." Cisco takes it his food.
"Large fry for Zee, and three burgers, five churros, and six funnel cakes for Barry." Joe places the food in front of us.
"Look at all of this junk." Cecile sat down with Joe, apologizing to everyone, as Barry placed his hand on my thigh under the table, biting his churro, as I blew on a fry, propping it into my mouth, "Guys, I'm really sorry. If the pipes in the house weren't making this weird, annoying sound, I would have just actually had you all over for dinner."
"Squeaky pipes at the West house-" Barry looks at me.
"What a surprise." I laugh softly, folding my arm, leaning it against Barry's shoulder.
"Really? You're familiar with this sound?" questioned Cecile.
"You mean the-" Iris starts to mimic the sound, earning a small laugh from me.
"Yeah-" Cecile nods.
"It's been doing that for- 18 years?" Barry estimates, taking a bite of his burger.
"Every house has a personality, Iris." Joe states, "Just likes to be heard."
I wrap my arms around Barry's forearms, laying my chin on his shoulder, looking at the funnel cake he was eating, his eyes landing on me, "I'm guessing you want a bite of my cake?"
"Yes." I simply told him, a innocent smile on my face, tilting my head to side so I could look at his face better.
The sound of someone snapping a picture catches my attention, my eyes snapping up and landing on Iris West, who had her phone held up, "This picture needs to be on the Save the Date cards."
Barry feeds me a bite of the funnel cake with his fork, "Send it to me. I will make it happen."
"When is the wedding anyway?" Cecile questions us right as I swallow the bite I was fed.
"We- haven't decided yet." I tell her, letting go of Barry, returning to my other position where I had my folded arm resting on his shoulder, "But- we will soon."
"We should go dress shopping soon." Caitlin suggests, a smile on her face.
"Oh god-" I laugh quietly, propping another fry in my mouth, "Let's hope the dress doesn't kill me before I get to wear it to the wedding."
My phone buzzes, along with everyone else's, my hands grabbing it, "Breach alert, guys. We gotta go."
-
Barry, Cisco, Caitlin, Iris and I ran into the breach room, the sight greeting us being Harry Wells coming through the breach, Wally standing there, expecting Jesse, due to the bouquet of flowers he held, along with the huge teddy bear.
"Hey, Harry, um, is Jesse not coming?" Wally asks, lightly sighing, "So, um I thought Jesse and I were having date night."
"Yeah, that's what you thought." Harry says with a blank expression, "Let me just- okay- just let me-" Harry hands him some sort of device, Wally setting down the bear and bouquet.
"Good to see you." Harry waves at us lightly, before looking down, awaiting Wally's reaction.
A hologram of Jesse shines from the device, "Okay, so hey, Wally. It's me. So, I've, um I've been doing some thinking. And-" Jesse's voice was cutting in and out due to static interference, You know, we've both been so busy- You and Earth-" The entire thing completely cuts out.
I watched along with everyone else, slowly eating more of my fries, that I held in its small paper container in my hand.
"Stupid hologram." Harry sighs, "You know, it's that darn Atlantean plastic. It's really shoddy workmanship. Sorry about this."
"What is- what is this thing?" Wally asks.
"Break Breakup cube." Harry simply says, looking up at us, "You don't have breakup cubes on your Earth?"
I slowly shook my head at him, as he looks down at the cube that was in his hand, "Oh, that's not good. Okay- Okay."
"A breakup cube is, uh kind of what it sounds like." Harry began, "You know, you record a message for the person you want to- the person, and you, uh, pick a music setting, and then there's a tissue that pops out if you need that. You know, a breakup cube." Harry tried his best, this being awkward for him.
"Jesse's breaking up with me with a cube?" Wally croaks out.
"Seems like a really convenient way to break somebody's heart." Caitlin remarked.
"Exactly." Harry nods.
"What did she say in the message?" Wally questions, wanting to know the reason she had decided to end it with him.
"You know, you heard. You- you're a great guy- I don't remember." Harry quickly says.
"Don't you have total recall?" Wally asks.
"Yeah no, no. Don't. I did. I don't. I did, but I don't." Harry blurts out, noticing the look on Wally's face, "Come on, don't make me- she- you heard. She said that you're a great, great guy and that she was busy on our Earth, and that you're busy here filling in for you know-" he mimics whooshing sounds, "-on this Earth, and she just felt that you guys were a little out of sync. You know, and that she thought she needed some time, you know, to work on her stuff."
Harry went on, "You know, it's not you, it's me. Not me. Her, me. Her, not me. Her. And- and she said, you know, "I'll never forget you, Wally West, because you're amazing," and then, uh, that you were her-"
Harry clears his throat, "First."
I choke on the french fry that I was halfway swallowing, beginning to cough, Barry rubbing my back, calming me down, while leaning his forehead into his free hand due to Harry's choice of words.
"And a bunch of other stuff. Not important." Barry spoke, "You don't need that, right? You're a tough guy. Right, West?"
"Yeah." Wally barely says, slowly walking away, leaving the breach room.
"Yeah, um- he doesn't want the cube." Harry held the cube hopelessly. "I don't blame him."
The alarm starts to beep, as I pull out my phone, looking at the alert, clearing my throat, "211s at First National and O'Sullivan Bank."
"Could be a spree." Caitlin follows up.
"Central City Bank's on that avenue, too." Barry looks at me, "I'll check it out." He runs off.

"That's the least secure security footage I've ever seen." Cisco spoke as we all stared at the security footage that was shown on the screen.
"Yeah, that's not even the strangest thing she made happen." Barry states, "I mean, I slipped on a barrel of marbles. It was like I was in a cartoon."
"That's some seriously bad luck." Caitlin looked at Barry.
"Yeah, there's no such thing as luck." Harry says.
"Yeah? Tell that to my cousin Hector." Cisco exclaimed, "He got jinxed by an ex. Hasn't been able to find a mall parking spot for three years."
"Well- Joe and I ran the sketches you made us through the CCP database. Her name's Becky Sharpe. She's 24 years old, no priors." I told them, pulling up her background on the monitor, so everyone can see.
"No priors? Then why is she in the database?" Barry turns and faces me.
"Because in the last three years she's lived in Central City, she's been rear-ended four times, her identity stolen twice." Joe began.
"A cat burglar literally burgled her cat." I straight up told them, complete seriousness.
"Okay, you see, Harry? That is bad juju." Cisco points at Harry Wells.
"Okay, Ramon, what you call juju, I call quantum entanglement." Harry began to speak complete science, "Discrete quantum particles are connected, and when triggered, they simulate a synchronicity that, to the untrained eye- to the common eye could seem like luck."
"One more time- in English- for the ones in the back?" I point to Joe and I, staring at Harry, my eyes wide.
"So if Becky can affect the particles around her in a positive way, then their connected particles start spinning negatively." Barry tells us.
"So when good things happen to her, bad things happen all around her." Caitlin translates.
"Great, she's got a good luck field." I mutter, crossing my arms.
"She's a meta." Joe flat out said it.
"Well, except she can't be." Iris said, "I mean, she's only been in Central City for three years."
"Yeah, so there's no way she was affected by the particle accelerator explosion." Caitlin told us.
"Well, neither was Kilgore." Barry shoves his hands in his pockets, "We saw firsthand what he could do."
"Not to sound like a broken record, but where the hell are all these new metas coming from?" Joe asks.
"You know what? Maybe the scanners in the suit picked something up." Cisco starts typing away.
"You said you took all the tech out." Barry calls him out.
"Okay, well, I left something in." Cisco admits, "Okay? Sue me."
-
"We did it?" Joe slouches in his seat, "We brought dark matter into Central City?"
"When you pulled me out of the Speed Force, yeah." Barry nods.
"All the people on that bus, we turned them into metas." Caitlin pieced together.
"Every time we try to do something right-" Cisco sighs, "it goes horribly wrong."
"When I was listing the endless amount of things that could go wrong-" I looked at Cisco, "I didn't expect this being one of them. You should've just listened to me and not done it- and we wouldn't be in this mess."
My head snaps towards Barry who was staring at me, as I took in how wrong he must've taken it, my entire tone changing, staring right at Barry, frozen in my spot, "But I'm so glad you did, because you brought back my wonderful fiancé who I love very very much- come here-" I walk over to him, grabbing his face, kissing his cheek repeatedly.
Barry pecks my lips, wrapping an arm around me, Wally speaking up, "We're cursed."
"Maybe we should burn some sage." Iris suggests.
"Guys, we're not cursed." Barry insists.
"You're not cursed." Harry spoke, "You should be cursed at."
"Okay, why should we- be "cursed at"?" asked Cisco Ramon, staring at Harry Wells.
"You should be cursed at because you opened the Speed Force- without consulting me-" Harry walks over to him.
"Okay, I don't think- we need to rehash-" Barry tries to stop them but is cut off, "All right."
"Okay, I did consult you, and you're the one who gave me the calculations- in the first place." Cisco argues.
"Yeah, I told you not to use them without consulting me." Harry argues back, "I said, "Ramon, don't use the calculations without consulting me."
"Yeah, yeah, I heard you." Cisco said, "I didn't see the need for that."
"And that's why- you should be cursed at." Harry finishes.
"What does that even mean? What does it mean?" Cisco questions.
"It means you're a-" Harry starts.
Cisco cuts him off, "Okay, you know what? This is exactly why we didn't contact you, 'cause the last thing we need around here is more of your salty-ass attitude."
"If you don't need my salty attitude, then maybe you should carry on without me. I'll let myself out." Harry starts to leave the cortex.
"Oh, are you going back to your Earth? I'll breach you there right now." Cisco yelled right after him.
"I'll breach you there right now!" Harry mocks him, leaving the cortex.
"That's not what I sound like." Cisco rolls his eyes.
"That was really high." Caitlin says quietly. "Listen, Cisco, I know Harry could stand to work on his bedside manner, but-"
Cisco cuts her off, "You know what? We don't need him. What we need is to focus on catching this meta. Am I right?"
"Yeah, you're right. But Becky doesn't seem like one of our typical villains. I think if we could track her down, maybe we could get through to her." Barry shrugs lightly.
Joe's phone buzzes, as he quickly answers, "Hey, Cecile. What? I'm on my way."
He hung up, walking towards Barry, "I need you to run me to the house."
"You said you never wanted-" Barry starts.
Joe cuts him, saying sternly, "I need you to run me to the house."
"Yes, sir." Barry mutters, letting go of me and running right out with him.
-
"Mayday, this is Flight 512 to tower. Lost an engine and are coming down." The voice comes through the line, causing my head to snap up.
"When did Hazard get so powerful?" I question, using the nickname Cisco had given her.
"Every action has an equal and opposite reaction-" Harry starts.
"The more good luck she experiences, the more bad luck she spreads." Cisco finishes.
"She must be experiencing an extreme level of good luck for her quantum field to be expanding like this." Caitlin puts her palms up.
"Where is she now?" Barry questions.
"-she went back to work." Iris answers.
"Guys, if Becky keeps winning, then bad luck will keep spreading." Barry says, "This could destroy the whole city."
"Okay, keep calm, all right?" Cisco says, "Nothing's going wrong here."
A loud whirring catches all of our attention, causing my head to snap down and look at the monitor, "Spoke too soon Cisco- the particular accelerator just turned on- and It's gonna explode."
And then we took action. Harry and Cisco ran down to the particular accelerator, to try and stop it from exploding, as I gave them a count down every minute of how long much time they still had. Barry was gone, heading to the casino that Hazard was. My head snaps up at the sound of the man's voice from earlier coming through the line again, "Flight 512 to tower, we are attempting a water landing."
"Barry- you need to find Hazard-" I spoke, my eyes glued to the monitor.
"I'm almost at the casino." His voice comes through the comms.
"Harry, Cisco, status report?" I ask.
"The generators turned themselves on." Cisco says into the walkie talkie, the loud whirring increasing, "We got to shut 'em down."
"Hazard's quantum field is increasing." Caitlin exhales, slight panic in her tone.
"How much worse can it get?" Iris asks quickly.
I shot her a look, before Barry's voice came through the comms once more, "How is that even possible?"
This followed by Becky Sharpe's distance voice repeatedly saying cherry.
"Barry?" I call out, "What happened? Any progress?"
"Well, she's playing the slots, and-" Barry's voice sounded the comms, "Um, I cuffed myself."
I let out a laugh, my hand touching the bottom lip, my other hand already pressing away on the monitor to try and get the cuffs off, "Oh, honey."
"Yeah, no, I know." Barry said, "We need to get 'em off. They're dampening my powers."
Both my hands start typing away, "God- if she says cherry one more time-"
As if on cue, Becky's distant once came through the comms, "Cherry bang bang. Cherry bang bang, cherry. Cherry bang bang, cherry. Cherry bang bang! That's two cherries."
I look up, shooting Iris and Caitlin a look, as they had held their small laughter behind pursed lips.
"Barry- I cant get the cuffs off." I look back down at the monitor, exhaling.
"Now we got a sign to get off of me, too." Barry says loud and clear, breathing heavily.
"30 seconds to activation." I told Cisco and Harry, pressing my palms against the desk.
I look up at Iris and Caitlin once the time decreased, "Ten seconds to activation."
"This is it." Iris says quietly, placing a hand on the desk, "Everyone- brace yourselves."
"Five, four, three, two-" I count down, then squeezed my eyes shut, once the entire building rumbles, the particular accelerator exploding.
I eyes open up at the sound of the flight attendant. "The starboard thrusts are alive. We're gonna make it."
"What just happened?" Caitlin asks, Iris and I completely speechless, not being able to form the words to even explain what had happened, this being because we didn't know ourselves.
Cisco inhales sharply, his voice filling the line, "The hydrogen electron collision released a charge that temporarily negated Hazard's quantum field. We did it."
-
"If I hear someone say cherry one more time- I'll punch something." I drop my jacket on the couch once Barry and I walk into our loft.
Barry looks at me, raising his brow, "Cherry."
I turn towards him, lightly punching him, as he throws me over his shoulder, walking into the kitchen.
I hum in response, sarcasm dripping from my words, "Wow- the weather's so nice up here."
"I bet." Barry laughs lightly, walking over to the couch after grabbing something from the kitchen, dropping me onto it, laying right on top of me.
"Barry-" I drag his name out, wrapping my arms around his neck, "The venue we were looking at earlier, for our wedding? Another couple booked it."
"They did?" Barry wraps his arms around me, looking at me.
"Yeah-" I sigh, "At this rate we might not find a venue."
"I still have a deposit down for the venue that's written in the binder-" Barry kisses my head.
I nod, looking up at him.
Barry smiles down softly at me, "If we can defeat evil speedsters and metas- we can find a wedding venue."
ok first of all, wow look at me, uploading like everyday, on top of my shitttt.
second of all, half of this chapter sucked and i apologize.
