[ barry's pov ]
I ran into the last warehouse, turning on the lights, shouting out for Zee, running around the entire warehouse.
My feet and screaming come to a stop when I see Zee in a glass cage, similar to what we were trapped in on Earth Two.
"No-" I whisper, noticing her slowly sinking and not moving, my hands touching the glass as I tried to phase through it, but it didn't work.
"No-" My voice got louder, as I hit the glass with my fist with all the power I had in me, touching my comm, practically screaming into it, "Cisco- I cant phase through it!"
"It must have a dampener on it-" Caitlin said in my ear, and within a few seconds, Cisco had breached right next to me, holding some sort of gun.
"Wait- wait-" I say out of breath, "Will it hurt her- if you shoot at the glass?"
"Got any other ideas?" Cisco looks at me with wide eyes, before stepping back, I following his footsteps. He aims at the top of the glass, shooting into the glass, the glass shattering, Zee's body moving out with the water, washing out onto the ground.
I ran to her, falling onto my knees, pulling her onto my lap, tears easily filling my eyes, as I moved her hair out of her face, "Hey- hey-"
She stays silent, not responding, water practically pouring out of her soaked hair, her clothes as soaked as her hair, the necklace I had given her hanging on the side of her neck, instead of the lightning bolt being on the center as it always was. Her heels weren't on her feet, and were spread around the floor, along with the shards of glass.
"Hey-" I laid her flat on the floor, pulling off my mask, dusting off the pieces of glass that had fell onto her when she fell to the ground, the tears in my eyes slipping accidentally, as I pushed my hands against her twice, trying to get her to cough up the water she had probably swallowed.
A few seconds later of trying, her eyes squeeze shut as she coughs up some water, gasping for air, her eyes snapping open, her coughs continuing.
I help her sit up, rubbing her back, as she coughs up some more water, before slowly starting to calm down, the tears that were slipping down my cheeks not stopping, as she turns her head and looks at me.
She coughs lightly, her voice coming out quiet and weak, "Barry-"
I pull her into my chest, holding her as tight as I could, a sniffle leaving me, as I held her for dear life, "You're okay. You're okay-"

[ zee's pov ]
Barry and I were the only ones at Star Labs. Everyone else had went home, after checking me up and engulfing me in a few hugs. I walked around Star Labs in just a pair of socks, due to being lazy to put my converse on, wearing a pair of sweatpants and Barry's Star Laboratories sweatshirt, a blanket wrapped around my shoulders, my damp hair let down. I walked into the room Barry was seated in, sitting in a chair next to him.
My eyes land onto the monitor screen that showed Wally trapped in the pipeline. My eyes furrow in confusion, "I missed a lot, didn't I?"
"Not so much. But I can catch you up on what you missed." Barry speaks, "Wally's practically convinced he's destined to be a superhero- which you already know. And we decided to lock him up in the pipeline- just in case Alchemy shows up."

"That's smart-" I start, staring at the screen.
"But?" He continues, as if he could sense what I was saying next already.
"But," I trail off, "He looks trapped."
"Maybe because he is trapped?" Barry raises a brow at me, pursing his lips to hold back a small laugh.
"That's not what I meant." I groan lightly, "I mean- he is trapped literally. But, by the way he's been acting it's almost like he feels trapped, you know? Watching everyone- like you- Cisco- and sometimes even me- with these meta abilities and doing things to help save people's lives and, he's on the sidelines."
"What are you trying to say?" He questions, folding his hands together.
"That it's hard being a witness- a bystander sometimes. I mean- clearly all he wants to do is help people. And now- that he could have the opportunity to- having meta abilities just like yours- he wants to see it in a more positive way than we all do." I run a hand through my damp hair.
Barry goes quiet for a minute, before speaking up, his gaze fixed on me, "You don't feel that way too, do you?"
My head snaps in his direction, my eyes making eye contact with his, "Considering I have these abilities- I shouldn't. But, sometimes- there's times where I don't listen to you and just go out there to help you- when you need it. I'm only there when you really need it- and my abilities aren't being put to good use, ya know? I feel useless sometimes." I lightly shrug, "But- I'm completely fine with how you don't want me to go out there- because you want to keep me safe. I completely understand that. It's just a feeling that washes over me sometimes- but with Wally it's a completely different story."
Barry stays silent, waiting for me to continue, "I mean, come on. I don't know science. I'm never out on the field with you. I don't know how to help you when you're in trouble- I go out there blind. And it always ends up in the worst ways. It's either- I get hurt- you get hurt- or the meta gets away- because Zee decided to jump in and tried to save the day." I scoff lightly to myself, as I sat up, "I don't know how to- I can't help you."
"I couldn't do this without you." Barry admits to me, not daring to break our eye contact.
"Oh, come on." I shot him a look, staring at him in disbelief, "That isn't true. You don't need me."
"It is true." Barry told me, "Whether you realize it or not, there is no Flash without Zee Young."
"Barry-" I began.
He cuts me off, sitting up from his slouched position, "Zee, I'm serious. Even when you didn't know that I was The Flash, you were in the Labs with me as The Flash every single day. You were- and still are the reason I get up and keep going. I'm not The Flash without you."
I let out a sigh, looking down for a few seconds, before I look back up at him, a small smile on my face.
He holds his arms out, as I stood up, seating myself on his lap, as he rested a arm on my thighs, wrapping the other one around me.
"Whatever you say, Barry Allen." I simply whisper, pressing a kiss to his cheek before leaning my head against his.

He smiles, holding onto me, as we sat in silence for a while.
I broke the silence, my voice coming out in a whisper, "I'm tired of getting kidnapped."
"I'm tired of you getting kidnapped." He repeated what I had just said, but more of his perspective.
I wrap my arms around his neck, moving my head away, looking at him, "I like where I am right now. I like being with you- I hate it when I get kidnapped. It's starting to irritate me."
"Is that so?" Barry looks at me, amusement filled in his eyes.
"I just want the bad guys to go away-" I dragged out my last word, throwing my head back, a chuckle leaving Barry's lips.
"I want that too, honey." Barry agreed with me, before making me face him, planting a kiss on my cheek.
-
"You forgot to mention a meta?" I stare at Barry with wide eyes as he carried me into the cortex, seating me in a chair next to Iris, who had returned to Star Labs.
"Well- yes-" Barry said and cuts himself off when he runs, grabbing his shut and he was off to where everyone else went to see the movie.
I look at Iris, "The meta's name is Shade?"
"Yes." She nods, "It's some sort of shadow meta human."
"God- that is ridiculous." I mutter.
"Mhm-" She bums but is cut off when our eyes fell onto a separate monitor that showed Wally, screaming in pain.
Iris jumps up, "I'll be back." She told me, before rushing down towards the pipeline.
I stare at the monitor in front of me, one point saying Flash, one point saying Shade. Barry's voice sounded through the speakers, as well as Shade's.
"Flash, just who I came to see." Shade's voice came through the speakers, as I leant into the desk, my elbow pressing against the comm button lightly, turning it on, so if I spoke, Barry could hear me.
"So you like shadows?" Barry spoke, his voice in a teasing tone, as I could practically hear the slight smirk on his face as he said this, "Wanna try and catch mine?"
A small smile formed on my lips, "Awh, you're so cute." I lightly cooed, my heart exploding with many emotions. Barry's response was a few thud's and grunts. I open my mouth to ask if he was okay, but he beats me to speaking.
"As flattered as I am right now-" Barry grunts, "I just got thrown on my ass like a rag doll."
"Uh oh," I say, "That's not good."
"Zee!" Iris shouts my name from the pipeline, as I jump in my seat, slipping on my converse.
"Gotta go-" I turn off the comm, leaving the blanket I had once wrapped around myself on the seat, running down to the pipeline, seeing Iris with wide eyes, Wally hitting against the glass.
"You need to get me out-" Wally begged, "Get me out!"
"Iris-" I begin to say, staring at Wally with wide eyes.
"Wally, we cant do that. You know we can't." Iris tried to reason, as I was now standing next to her.
"Get me out!" Wally screamed, pounding his fist on the glass, "Zee- you need to let me out. Iris- please. I'm begging you."
Guilt floods my chest as I stared at Wally, not being able keep ground on us keeping him in there for much longer.
Wally falls back, his back hitting the ground hard as he let out painful screams, "Help me!" He shouts, "Please- make it stop. Iris- Zee!"
That was the last straw for both of us, as Iris ran, opening where we had locked him, as we both ran in, crouching down to him, trying to help him.
"Wally- Wally- it's okay- it's over, okay?" Iris spoke, as we helped him sit up, as he was quick to grab the both of us, standing up and shoving us into the wall.
"Stay out of my way." He warned, his voice dangerously low, as he let go of us, walking out of the pipeline.
Iris and I run after him, Iris grabbing his arm, as he turns, swinging at her, but she is quick to duck and land a solid one in his face, knocking him out.
"Nice one-" I sigh in relief, crouching down, staring at Wally, "He's only knocked out for now."

Barry has been calling me insane ever since I insisted that I would go with Joe and the police force to Alchemy's location. The fact that I had just got kidnapped barely a day ago, just got back, and was already back on my feet at work that very night, heading head first right back into danger, made him call me out for being absolutely crazy.
I reasoned that they needed all the backup they could get, because we didn't know exactly what we were dealing with at this point.
Caitlin had admitted to having meta human abilities, due to Cisco's force and pushes, them being the exact same to what Barry, Cisco and I witnessed on Earth Two. Caitlin eventually got upset with Cisco, due to him forcing her to tell all of us about her powers when she wasn't ready just yet. She even said that she would have to leave eventually because of her becoming evil. Cisco also admitted to vibing once or twice about him and Killer Frost fighting in the future.
Barry had defeated Shade, and eventually Wally had given us a plan to use him as bait to lure us to Alchemy, where we would beat him there. Joe was going to go in, along with a team from the police force, and Barry would follow also, Wally leading us right to Alchemy. I had insisted to come also, just in case.
My medium length hair was in a messy ponytail, as I was dressed in a black t shirt that was tucked into black pants, my feet wearing black heeled ankle boots. I had a navy blue bomber jacket on top, that said police in white letters on the back. My badge and holster was attached to my belt, as I reloaded my gun, placing it back into the holster, a man from the force approaching Joe and I.
"So what's the plan, Detective Young?" The man asks, holding his gun.
"This lunatic calls himself Alchemy. He's the reason we been finding all of these husks all over town. We believe we've finally found a way to locate him." I answered, crossing my arms.
"How?" He questions.
"By using his next target." Joe spoke, watching as Wally came down the stairs with Barry.
"Your son?" The man questions once more.
"He's our only shot." I nod towards Joe.
"We'll get him." The man assured before walking back to his team. Joe and I moved, walking over to Wally and Barry.
Barry was already grabbing my forearms, pulling me into him, "Are you completely sure you want to do this? Because if you're having doubts- I can run you back to Star Labs where everyone else is. To make sure you're safe."
"I'm sure." I nod lightly, pecking his lips, before stepping back, squeezing his arm in reassurance.
"Where's Julian?" Joe asks.
Barry answers, shoving his hands in his front pockets, "He didn't come in today."
"That's weird." I spoke up, "He never misses a day."
"Did you call him?" Joe asks.
Barry nods, "Yeah, it went straight to voicemail."
"Well," Joe sighs, "All right, gents, move out."
The police force nods, before heading out.
"All right, be safe. We'll see you in a few." Barry told us, as Barry presses a kiss to my cheek, before leaving us with Wally.
Wally walks with us, as Joe makes small talk with him, before we all move.
We were lead to an abandoned subway. Barry had come as The Flash, and was slowly leading the way, keeping me behind him, Wally and Joe walking behind me, and everyone else behind them. I held my gun close, keeping it aimed at the ground.
Wally and Barry made small talk, before Wally leaves us due to Barry's order, slowly walking where Alchemy was, as we all kept undercover.
Everything happened so fast. Too quickly for me to fully process. One second we had Alchemy down, but then the next, almost every guard was knocked down, Barry, Wally, Joe and I the only ones standing. And not even a second later, the three of us were cornered as Barry chased something only he could see.
When Barry was brought to the ground and Joe and I rushed to help him, Wally was reaching for a stone, causing us all to shout for him not to touch, but it was too late. Wally has turned into what looked like a cocoon right in front of us.
Within the next few seconds, Barry was held against the wall by someone no one but him could see. Barry yelled at us to shoot, as Joe and I argued that we couldn't see whoever was holding Barry.
Regardless, Barry screamed at us once more to do it, as we did, shooting what we couldn't see, the bullets bouncing off.
And then. Whatever had Barry, decided to take him on a joy ride around the city.
lol this is another bad chapter.

Dungeon Scholar
Girl meets dungeon. What could go right? A story of a good-hearted Scholar driven by her compassion and curiosity. She might be a little combat averse, but um, isn't that only logical? Love me a good grimdark, but sometimes I want to read feel-good fiction that isn't pure action, romance, or comedy. The plot and characters of Dungeon Scholar won't be all happy and fluffy, and the world will be more dungeons and monsters than rainbows and puppies, but overall the sweet moments should overshadow the bitter. Let's say three dollops of sugar for every pinch of salt, with lemon slices left on the saucers? Enjoy. Note: This is NOT a typical dungeon story. If you are here for the dungeon aspect, then fair warning this will seem incredibly slow-burn to you. The dungeon will eventually become the most important 'character,' arguably, or the second-most important narratively, but you might jump out the window in frustration long before that happens. At its heart, the story's core remains 'girl meets dungeon,' not 'dungeon meets world.' (To be clear, this does or will have a plot! It's just the more conventional story-like elements contribute to Rowena Loress's greater story, not the other way around; no conflict takes center stage until it becomes personally significant to her. Meanwhile, have some Slice of Life.) Updates every Friday Cover made using Waifulabs Written using 4thewords (referral code: UZJRY55368)

It has been decades since the Wizardly Order rose and helped the Realm to banish the monstruos Elfey from its lands by building the Five Spires. Master Garner, a wizard in the scarcely populated far West of the Realm, feels the situation getting out of hand, and a violent purge forces him out of his beloved Tower.
