"Barry-" I call his name out, even if he was only a few feet away from me in my kitchen, as I grab the huge tray of the batch of cookies Barry and I were making just for the hell of it, the trail being too hot for me to hold even through the oven-mittens.
He's quick to come behind me, and goes to grab the tray from me, as I gasp, causing me to stop him by setting the tray back in the oven, leaning back into his chest, "It's too hot- you'll burn yourself."
"No I won't, come on-" He grabs my hands over my over-mittens, helping me grab the tray, shut the oven and set it on the counter top.
I slip the mittens off, grabbing one of the three frostings we had bought from the store, spooning some out and holding for Barry to eat, "Taste."
He smiles lightly, before leaning over, eating the frosting off the spoon, as I question, "Is it good frosting?"
"All frostings, good frosting." He swallows, running a hand through his messy hair.
"Not when there's too much of it." I reasoned, pointing the spoon at him.
"Mmm." He nods, "You're right."
"I'm always right." I drop the spoon onto the counter over a napkin, my eyes falling onto the cookies we had made.
He wraps his arms around me from behind, playing a kiss on my head, "I don't know how you convinced me to stay in and make cookies with you for our date."
"I mean- you wanted to go to dinner but- I think that's just too pricey." I spin in his arms, facing him, placing my hands on his chest, "If you ever want to have dinner with me- we can stay home and make dinner. We don't need to go to such a pricey place- where you can blow all your money off."
He smiles, "You're right."
"I told you. I'm always right." I kiss his cheek.
"Not about the part where you said you can actually bake." Barry teases, a smile on his face.
"Okay- listen. I'm good at the mixing." I defended myself.
He gives me a look, as I continued, "Oh come on- don't tell me you aren't having fun watching me make a mess of mixing and trying to press it on the tray."
"I am- I really am." He laughs quietly, causing me to smile again.
We made eye contact once more, a genuine smile on both of our faces, as I noticed him lean in slightly, then press a kiss to my lips.
I kiss back almost right away, my heart almost leaping right out of my chest, this being the first time I've actually kiss him in a while, as my hands move and grabs onto his face, holding it.
His arms wrap around my waist tighter, pulling me close, as we started to make out in the middle of the messy kitchen. I was dressed in a pair of leggings and an oversized crewneck sweater that I didn't mind getting dirty, while Barry was dressed in a pair of jeans and a white t shirt, the white t shirt being the one under his button off he had taken off before we started.
My hands move to his hair, as his hands grabs onto my thighs, picking me up, turning and setting me on the counter opposite of where everything was set up, his hands resting on my waist under my sweater.

My eyes snap open, remembering something I had forgotten to tell him when we started baking cookies, as I pull away, "Barry-"
"What?" He murmurs, opening his eyes, looking at me.
"We made chocolate chips cookies. And we have frosting. How are we going to eat chocolate chip cookies with frosting? That simply doesn't go together." I told him, putting a strand of my hair behind my ear, before bringing my hands to his, running my fingers through it to fix it.
"Did you just pull away to tell me that?" Barry questions, his eyes slightly wide with amusement, a grin playing at his lips.
"Yes-" I nodded.
"God- I'm never going to get enough of you." Barry wraps his arms around me tight, burying his face into my shoulder, a laugh leaving his lips.
-
I let out a shaky breath, sniffling quietly, dabbing under my eyes to wipe away any extra tears. I had spent that last hour, hid away in my apartment, in tears. I didn't know what to do. I didn't know what to do at all.
The guilt of having something going on with Barry, but Iris still having feelings for him consumed me. I didn't want to end what I had with Barry, because being with him made me happy. I couldn't give it up. But if I continued to be with Barry, Iris could be hurt over and over, and I couldn't do that to her.
I couldn't let her feel what I felt when he was completely in love with her.
I couldn't let her feel what I felt the short time Barry was with Patty, or Linda.
I couldn't.
I made my way into Star Labs, and into the cortex, keeping my head down.
"You saw Sam Scudder and Rosalind Dillion escape through a window?" Caitlin confirms what Joe was telling us.
"Like I said, he grabbed her hand. They walked to the window, then poof, they were gone." Joe explained.
"I would say that's impossible but we live in Central City." I mutter, as Barry smiles at me lightly from the corner of my eye, as I kept my stare on the ground.
"So mirrors, windows- it sounds like he can travel through anything with a reflective surface." Barry spoke, running a hand through his hair.
"How does he even do that?" Iris questions.
"He must be able to link Einstein-Rosen bridges to anything with high solar reflectance, right?" Harry looks at Caitlin.
"So he creates wormholes through reflections." Caitlin says. "That's a new one."
"Look, I can't pretend to understand or care about the science of it all, but we need to find Dillion and Scudder before something really bad happens." Joe spoke, "I'm gonna go old school at the precinct. I'll see you later." Joe walks out.
My eyes were red and fully glossy, as I kept my stare on the ground; completely forgetting I was in the room with everyone, the tears in my eyes threatening to spill, as Cisco's voice makes me snap my head up and look at him, "Zee- are you okay?"
"Yeah-" my voice comes out cracked, as I clear my throat quick, my voice weak, "I mean- yeah. I'm fine."
Caitlin was already shaking her head, a look of sympathy clear on her face, Harry looking at me with a look similar to that also.
"No- you're not." Barry looks at me, his eyes scanning over my face, starting to walk over to me.
Iris opens her mouth to speak, but I spoke before her, causing her to stop.

"I'm- fine." I whisper, before turning and leaving the room quickly, walking into the speed lab, my tears as I covered my face with my sleeves, letting out quiet sobs.
I heard footsteps behind me, and within seconds, I was turned around quick and pulled into someone's chest, as they held me tight. I took in their scent, already knowing that it was Barry.
"I don't know what to do- Barry." I cry quietly, my hands moving so he could see my eyes, as I let myself loosely cover my mouth still, "I don't know what to do at all."
"About what?" He questions quietly, giving me his full attention, as I saw a flicker of empathy in his eyes.
"Us-" I sigh, "I don't think you understand- how strong my feelings are towards you. I really- want to be with you. But the guilt- of hurting Iris- is practically consuming me and I can't stop thinking about it."
He goes silent, hugging me tight, as I stood in his arms for a while. He finally speaks up quietly, "I think you should talk to her. I've already spoken to her- but I think you should too."
"I'm gonna head to the paper-" I heard Iris tell everyone else, before leaving the cortex, walking down the hall.
"I'm gonna go talk to her- okay-?" I kiss Barry's cheek before running right after Iris, "Hey- Iris-"
"Hey-" She smiles at me as I caught up to her.
"I wanted to talk to you about something-" I start, feeling the anxiety in my chest rise.
"About you and Barry?" Iris looks at me, cutting me off and finishing my sentence.
"Yeah-" I quiet down silently, shocked at how she already knew, "I don't want to hurt you- because of the thing that's going on between Barry and I."
"Zee- I'm okay. If you two want to be together- then so be it. I understand that technically had no idea what has happened in the few months- and he's still irrevocably in love with you." She spoke, putting a hand on my shoulder, "Whatever I felt was just temporary. He's moved on from me, and I'm happy for him. If you two are happy- I'm happy. There's someone out there for me- it's just not Barry. Barry is all yours."
A small smile forms on my lips due to how understanding she was being, "I didn't realize how much I needed you two back together until your guys decided to start something again. Okay? Don't worry about me. Be happy."
"I'll see you at home- to help you pack, right?"I say, relief washing over me, my smile widening.
"Yeah- its gonna take a lot of work to get all my stuff out of your apartment to move back in with my dad." Iris laughs lightly.
"I could just ask Barry." I shrug, "It'll be so much more faster."
"You do that." She smiles, before leaving me alone in the hall.
-
Barry was stuck in some sort of mirror. He went after Scudder and Dillion with Jesse, and ended up getting trapped. Jesse was busy blaming herself, while Wally went after her to talk to her.
Barry spoke, but none of us could understand him.
"What is he saying?" I look at Harry, confusion written all over my face.
"Is this some sort of mirror language?" Joe asks.
"Mirrors show objects in reverse- maybe that's what we're hearing here." Harry explained.
"Only one way to find out." Cisco starts digging in a drawer.
"What are you looking for?" Joe questions.
"Even seen "Twin Peaks?" Of course not. Why do I ask?" Cisco spoke, pulling something out, "This is a old back-masking trick they used, on the Man from Another Place, where they record his audio backwards then play it forwards." Cisco attaches something to the mirror.
"Like the Ozzy Osbourne records." Joe spoke.
"Sure, lets go with that." Cisco puts his hands in his hips.
"Okay, Barry, say something." Iris told him.
Barry spoke, it still coming over as some short of gibberish. "Oops-" Cisco said, before activating the device.
"Barry- say something one more time-" Joe says.
Barry sighs, "Get me out of here."
"How are we gonna get him out of there?" I question.
"I tried phasing out- it isn't working." Barry told us.
"We're gonna need something cold-" Harry starts.
"I can help with that, come on-" Cisco leaves the room with Harry, Iris leaving her with father.
I look at Caitlin, "I'll be back in five- I haven't had coffee today."
She nods, a smile on her face, as I leave quickly, heading to Jitters. I bought my usual, before getting back to Star Labs as quick as I could, walking down the hall, coming to a stop when I heard Caitlin and Barry talking.
"Everything that's going on between you, Zee and Iris?" Caitlin spoke.
"It's hard to explain. It's really confusing- it probably won't even make sense. I never actually had anything going on with Iris. I was in another timeline- I have had no idea about anything. I've been with Zee- during Flashpoint, before I changed the timeline, and now- I'm starting to fix things with her once more. But then she told me about how we apparently broke up- and how I was pinning over Iris and-" Barry sighs, "I don't even feel like that. Zee's been upset because she doesn't want to hurt Iris by being with me."
"Yeah, you didn't seem good when you came by from talking to Zee." Caitlin told him.
"I don't like seeing her cry." Barry admits, "It hurts me."
"So what do you think, Barry?" Caitlin asked him.
"I mean- there's nothing wrong with Iris. I was in love with her. She's smart- pretty- nice- I love her. I always will. But-"
"But what?" Caitlin asks.
"I don't know. She's not Zee- I guess." Barry told her, causing a small smile to form on my lips.
I take this as my cue to walk in, as I do, sipping my iced coffee.
"Caitlin, we need you in here!" Cisco calls out for Caitlin, as Caitlin leaves the room, leaving Barry and I alone.
"Hey you," Barry smiles at me lightly, his arms crossed.
"Hi." I smile, sipping my coffee.
"Are you okay?" He asks me.
"You know- you ask me that a lot." I told him, sipping my coffee once more.
"Just making sure you're okay." Barry exclaimed, putting a hand on the glass.
"I'm okay." I smile lightly, "I feel a lot better now."
And with that, Barry and I continued to talk, about the stupidest things, trading laughs.
-
We had successfully gotten Barry out of the mirror he was trapped in, somehow us not knowing how we got it so cold to actually let Barry out. Barry and Jesse has defeated Scudder and Dillion, and they were safely locked up.
Now, we were in the breach room, waiting for the new Wells. Since Harry and Jesse would go back to Earth Two, we needed another Harrison Wells, so, Harry had suggested we breached one here, someone who was up for the position.
"Greetings, Earthlings." The new Harrison Wells said in a deep voice.
"Oh absolutely not-" I start to say, as Barry wraps a arm around me, pulling me into him, covering my mouth, laughing quietly, "Be quiet-"
He starts to laugh, "Ah- just kidding, I don't really talk like that. I've just always wanted to say that, Earthlings."
"Wells with a sense of humor. That's new." Caitlin spoke.
Barry moves his hand from my mouth, a smile taking up my lips, "I like him."
"Hey, sharpshooter," Harrison calls out to Harry, "You. You're handsome."
A giggle leaves my mouth, as I played with Barry's hand, watching everyone go down.
"I know." Harry spoke, causing me to purse my lips to hold back more laughter. "Likewise, I'm sure."
"Yeah." Harrison agrees.
"Harrison." Harry spoke, shaking Harrison's hand.
"Harrison." Harrison smiled, "But you can call me HR."
"HR it is, then." Harry turns, "This is the team. Uh- this is Cisco Ramon. He can do anything."
HR shook Cisco's hand, hitting his hand lightly with his other, causing us all to gape in confusion at what he was doing.
"This is Dr. Caitlin Snow, she is brilliant." Harry introduces, as HR shook her hand.
"That's my daughter- you don't have to shake her hand-" Harry spoke, "That gentleman right there is Wally West."
"This is Detective Zee Young, she is what they call- a badass." Harry introduced me, as HR shakes my hand, causing me to not control my laughter as I break.
"What is going on-" I manage to say through my uncontrollable laughs, as HR lets go of my hand, the smile remaining wide on his face, as Barry rubs my back to calm me down.
"This is Barry Allen, or what they call him on this Earth, The Flash." Harry introduces, as HR shakes Barry's hand, Barry making a face at the type of handshake.
"Welcome to Earth One." Barry greeted, letting go of his hand and wrapping his arm back around me.
"Thanks- Earth One- that's weird." HR laughs.
Barry laughs a little, as I finally calm down.
We all said our goodbyes to Harry and Jesse, and within seconds they were gone, my eyes falling onto HR.
"I'm starving." HR spoke, "Do you guys have a Big Belly Burger around here?"
"Something's never change." Caitlin spoke, a laugh coming from all of us.
alright okay, first of all this chapter was really bad and I'm sorry lololol.
second of all, I was going to have Joe kick Barry out, but I don't know if I want him to actually get a new loft, like his own place or he could just move back in with Zee. or he can get a new place and she can move in with him. like idek. like I need opinions.
also damn I literally updated three times today, I'm really on this shit.
