The date with Barry went well. Shortly after, once we arrived at ccpd, Joe had pulled me in, where he was being told by a young girl named Frankie, who seems in her teen years, what had happened.

I listened in on everything that was said, before Joe excuses us the minute we see Barry come down, as we make our way over to him, "Hey, Barr, what'd you find out?"

Barry stops, looking at me and Joe stood next to me, "Okay, get this. So, The outer layer of the lamppost is half an inch thick, but to bend even a quarter inch of steel requires 177 tons of tensile strength, so-"

Joe begins, "So we're looking for a meta with super strength?"

"Well, I'm not sure yet, but that's as much as I could find." Barry lightly rocks back and forth on his feet.

"What? Why?" Joe questioned.

"Because I showed up." Julian interrupted, joining the conversation.

"And I'm not surprised." I roll my eyes lightly, clapping my hands together once, trying to keep my attitude on a low as Barry looks at me, a small grin on his lips due to my reaction.

"Yes, the only problem with Barry's little theory is there were no fingerprints on the post." Julian explained, simply ignoring my comment.

"Again, Julian, not my theory, and the meta human could've been wearing gloves." Barry crosses his arms.

"Yes, perhaps." Julian starts, "But the curvature on the post suggests that equal amounts of pressure were applied to the whole thing at the same time. So unless our strong man has a wingspan of over 20 feet-"

"Something else caused it." Joe nodded.

"Yes." Julian nods, before looking over my shoulder, his eyes landing on Frankie, "Who's that, sir?"

"That's Frankie Kane. The victim's foster kid." Joe answers.

I follow up, "She's been in and out of times for years." My voice comes out quiet, feeling a strong wave of empathy due to going through the same thing before staying in one that was very crappy.

"Listen, she said she blacked out during the incident." Joe informed them.

"Blacked out?" Julian repeats.

I nod, "Mhm."

"Repressing memories is a coping mechanism for lots of foster kids." Barry says, shrugging lightly.

"Hm. Is it?" Julian kept his stare on Frankie.

"It is." Barry mocked his accent, his eyes wide when he mocks him, causing me to smile, and going to cover my mouth to try and hide it, but he caught me before I could, the grin that was once on his face returning, knowing he had made me smile.

"Could be something else." Julian moves past us, walking into the room Frankie's in, before we could protest.

Julian and Frankie trade a few words, before Julian grabs the glass and walks past us once more, his gaze on me, "Gonna need another glass, Detective."

"Follow him." Joe told Barry, Barry humming in response before he continues, "See what you can get."

"What are you two gonna do?" Barry questions.

"Zee- you can finish this up- and I need to go convince my son that he's not meant to be a superhero." Joe hands me the folded, before patting us both on the shoulder, walking away.

"See you later." Barry says, planting a kiss on my cheek, before following after Julian.

A smile crosses my lips as I slowly walk back into the room where Frankie stayed, continuing what Joe had started.

"You! You, girl! Stop!" Julian's voice sounded ccpd as he stepped down the stairs, calling after Frankie who was leaving.

"Hey, ease up, Julian." Barry called out behind him, following him down the stairs.

"Stop!" Julian shouts, as Barry slows down, coming to a stop at the steps as Julian walks by Frankie, standing a few feet away from her.

"Me?" Frankie turned, looking at him.

"You did it, didn't you?" Julian called her out in front of everyone.

"What?" She questioned.

"The lamppost, you did it, didn't you?" Julian continued, the amused look on his face causing me to hold onto the folder I held tighter.

"What? No- no- no- stop." The girl cried out, holding her head, looking at her feet.

"You're a liar!" Julian shouts.

"Julian!" Joe yells, needing him to stop, watching how Frankie reacted to this.

"You're a meta-human." Julian continues, ignoring Joe, letting it known out loud.

I lightly slam my folder down on my desk, walking towards Julian, standing with my back towards the staircase, Barry behind me on the stairs, I raised my voice, "Julian, that's enough. You're being out of line."

"No- no- stop!" The girl cried out, gripping her head, bending over.

"You put your foster father in the hospital, didn't you?" Julian continues, ignoring everyone's attempt to try and shut him up.

"Julian!" I shout, taking a step closer, my tone softening when my eyes land on the girl who was at the point of begging.

"Julian, enough!" Joe shouted right after me.

"Didn't you?" Julian shouts one last time, Frankie fully turned, as she stands up straight, going still.

Her tone changes, "Oh I wanted to do more than just hurt him. Now I'm going to do the same to you." Her hands go to her sides, as with that one motion, all the metal railings start to bend, the lights above us going out.

"Frankie! Frankie stop!" Joe shouts.

"Frankie- calm down- this isn't you." I spoke in a softer tone now then everyone else, slowly walking towards her as I looked back at Barry, nodding for him, signaling for him to suit up.

Within seconds, Barry runs off, coming back, saving Julian from being crushed under what has broken off the wall, then looking back to see that Frankie was gone.

Magenta was yet another one of Alchemy's creations. While trying to find out how to stop her, Wally had risked his life to try and get his speed, which wasn't there.

He had gotten so upset that Jesse had gotten her speed even after they both got affected and he didn't, that he had stepped in front of a car to attempt to jump start his powers.

Now we were still at Star Labs, Joe and I were following Barry as Barry shouted at Wally for his actions.

"Seriously, what the hell were you thinking?" Barry shouts, "You can't just go stepping into the street like that. I mean- you gotta use your head."

"Nothing happened, Barry. Chill out." Wally shot back, as we walked by the elevators.

"Didn't you talk to Joe about this?" Barry asked as we all came to a stop.

"Yeah, so?" Wally asked.

"It clearly didn't help." Barry called out, as I folded one arm across my chest, my other elbow resting on my hand, as I covered my mouth.

"What would you have done if Jesse wasn't there, huh?" Barry raises his voice.

"I don't know, man." Wally admits. "Come on- Zee back me up here."

Barry goes silent, turning his head and looking at me as my eyes went wide, my hand removing itself from my mouth, looking between the two of them.

"As much- as I love and care for you Wally- and would totally back you up- uhm-" I stammer, my hand going to my hip, my other hand scratching the back of my neck, "I would rather have him yell at you to not jump in front of cars to kick start your speed that isn't there? I mean- you could've died- that really isn't okay- I kinda think it was really stupid of you- uhm-" I look at Barry, the anxiety in my chest rising due to not wanting to be in the middle of this, due to the fact that it being clear of who's side I was taking,"Please help- I can't stop."

"Wally, you couldn't have done anything. Because there's nothing you could've done. Because you don't have powers." Barry shot at him.

"Only room in our family for one speedster, Barry?" Wally shot at him, getting more upset.

"Please, just stop trying before you get yourself killed." Barry makes it loud and clear.

"You done?" Wally asks.

Barry looks at Joe, "Do you have anything to say?"

Joe shook his head, "No- you pretty much covered it all."

Barry puts his hands on his hips, a sigh coming from him as Wally leaves us alone where we stood.

I move towards Barry as Joe leaves us alone too, one hand on his back, one hand on his chest comfortingly, "Are you okay?"

"Wally almost died, and you're asking me if I'm okay." Barry looks at me.

"He's acting as if it wasn't a big deal." I say, "And you seem really angry."

"That's because I am, Zee." Barry sighs, letting his hands fall from his hips, "He could've gotten killed- he's family."

"I know. And he learned it the hard way." I told him, my voice quiet and comforting, "He'll stop pulling this type of stuff after this. I mean- he almost lost his life."

Barry nods, his arms slowly wrapping around me, as I allow due to the thing we had going on anyway, "I should be asking you if you're okay. You look really upset with Julian, earlier."

"That's because he was being out of line. I mean- he was right in the end but there could've been a different approach. It was completely unnecessary for him to call her out right there. She wouldn't have went all Magenta mode if he didn't." I complained, "I'm really starting to see why you don't like this guy."

"Right?" Barry huffs, causing the both of us to break a small smile.

-

"John James?" Iris called out, as we stood out of his hospital room waiting for him to answer. I had came with her just in case something bad would happen, Joe asking me to.

"Who's asking?" John questioned, as Iris and I walked into his room, and by his bed.

"Detective Young from CCPD." I crossed my arms.

Iris addresses herself right after me, "Iris West. I'm a reporter for Central City Picture News. We're here to ask you a few questions about Frankie Kane."

He scoffs, "Did they find her yet?"

"Unfortunately, no." I kept my arms crossed, straightening my posture, "But we're in the process of doing so."

"Well, what hell's taking so long? That damn meta-human freak nearly killed me." John spoke.

"I know, I'm sorry." Iris apologizes politely.

"That's what I get for taking Frankie in huh? This?" John asks. "God help me if I ever see her again."

"What's that supposed to mean?" I question, my eyebrows furrowing in confusion.

"It means she's going to be the one in the hospital." John threatens, even in his state.

My mouth drops open, as I scoff, shaking my head lightly in disbelief, "Son of a bitch."

"Tough love, John?" Iris asks, also getting somewhat upset because of him.

"Yeah, you're damn right." He told us.

"She was getting back at you for hurting her." Iris says.

"And She's going to try and do it again." I finished for her.

"Nurse!" Iris calls, "We need to get this man to a safe location." She informs the nurse that comes in.

"Why?" The nurse questioned.

A loud sound comes from outside, causing Iris to slowly go over by the window, as John speaks, "What the hell's that?"

"Oh my god." Iris spoke in shock, staring at the tanker that was being lifted off the ground, by Magenta.

The alarms immediately go off, as the nurse's move John to a wheelchair as Iris pushes him down the hall, as I walked next to her, as he questions, "Where are you taking me?"

"Frankie is coming for you. And as much as it pains me to help an abusive dick like you, We can't let you die." Iris pushes his wheelchair, as we try to open the doors to go outside, but a gasp leaves my mouth once they close right before we can leave, Magenta trapping us all inside.

Everything happened so fast. Jesse had come and helped Barry, putting off the tanker from crushing the building for a little bit so Barry could talk to Magenta and talk her out of what she was going.

Eventually, it did work, Barry did convince her not to do it, as she moved the tanker back to where it belonged, and held onto him, crying her eyes out.

Iris and I slowly step out the hospital, John still in his wheelchair, Iris still holding the handles of. People moved in and out of the hospital around us, as we stayed still and just watched how Frankie broke in Barry's arms, letting out sobs and cries.

My fist clenched at my side as I turned, landing a solid punch on John's jaw, John letting out a loud grunt in pain, before I back away quickly my hand in lots of pain due to how hard I hit him. I held my hand in my hand, sucking in and holding a breath, before letting it out and shaking my hand, in hopes of shaking the pain away.

I see the look Barry was giving me, a mixture of shock, and confusion, with a hint of disapproval, as he continued to tell Frankie it would be okay, holding her. Iris had her eyes wide, her gaze staying on me, amused. I throw my hands up in surrender, lightly bending my knees.

"Nuh uh- you guys can't be giving me those looks- he deserved that 100%." I kept my hands up, looking at Iris, my eyes wide, continuing to defend myself, "You saw how much of a dick he was."

"Okay- okay- fine." Iris high fives me in approval as I smile innocently.

"Crazy bitch." I heard John mutter under his breath, as my gaze falls on him.

"Okay-" I start to make my way back over to John.

Barry wraps a arm around my waist, pulling me back immediately, as I stumble lightly, holding onto Frankie's arm, "Nope-"

I stand up straight, giving him a look, as he shoots me the same one right back, causing me to give up.

-

"That was really nasty punch you gave him, huh?" Barry laughs quietly referring to the few bruises around my knuckles, as we walked up the steps at ccpd that night.

"I'm telling you- he deserved it." I defended myself, a smile already plastered on my face.

"I believe you- I believe you." Barry laughs once more as we walk into his lab, seeing Julian and Joe by Barry's desk.

"Hey- guys?" I say, it coming out as more of a question, as Barry and I slowly made our way over to him.

"There you two are-" Joe spoke, "Singh wanted me to show you guys this. This happened a few days ago at Iron Heights. They tried to keep it under wraps 'cause they didn't want anyone to think there was a security issue, but check this out."

He clicks play on the video.

"That's Clariss." Julian pointed out.

"It was Clariss." Joe corrected.

The video of Clariss in his cell, then screaming Alchemy's name, before being thrown around the cell, then drop dead completely dead, with no one in the cell with him according to the cameras.

"Oh- my god." I gasped, covering my mouth.

"Dead before he even hit the ground." Joe said.

"Alchemy." Barry states, his arms crossed, staring at the footage.

"You ever heard that name before?" Julian questions. "Alchemy?"

"No, I haven't." Barry lies, his gaze breaking away from the screen and landing on me.

"Maybe there's an invisible meta?" Joe suggests.

"Maybe- but I doubt it." I cross my arms.

"Maybe, it's a ghost." Julian suggests, "Do you believe in ghosts, Allen?"

Barry stays silent, staring at Julian.

"No?" Julian heads over to his own desk.

"Hey," Joe starts to mumble, "Do you guys think this thing is a part of the Flashpoint timeline too?"

"I have a feeling that a lot of things are these days." Barry answered, his voice just as hushed.
