Later on the day, Cisco had vibed and saw the future. Dr. McGee would die, and the Reverse Flash would get back to his timeline. We had time, which gave us enough time to form a plan. We were now all back at the labs, as I waited for a signal for tachyons.
The alarm blares from Cisco's computer as Cisco speaks, "Tachyons! 87th and Avenue J." He states the location, as I sat on the part of the desk that wasn't occupied with a computer due to the chairs being all used, and my feet being tired.
Barry was out within the second, papers flying around from how fast he was gone.
Cisco stares at his computer screen, "Must be one of Mercury Labs' off-site facilitates."
"Hack into the se-" Harry starts but Cisco cuts him off, "I've hacked into the security feed."
Harry speaks again, "And once that-" but Cisco cuts him off again, "I'm one step ahead of you."
A small laugh leaves my mouth, but I quickly shut up because of how serious this situation was. "Barry, hurry up!" Cisco says, as we all stare at the computer screen.
"He's gonna kill her." Caitlin says, her eyes widening.
"No- no he's not. Barry'll get there on time." I say, watching the screen intensely, trying to assure her, but the fear picked up in my chest also. A breath of relief leaves my lips once we watch Barry stop Reverse Flash from killing Dr. McGee.
The computer starts to beat rapidly, as Cisco speaks up, "Oh, it's on."
"Get him, Barr." Joe says, also watching the screen.
Barry had caught him, and was now beating the living crap out of him. We heard him talk through the speaker, as he threw punches at Eobard, "Not fast enough, Thawne."

He throws another punch, "I will never lose to you again." He grabs him and throws him against the fences, as he continued to shout, "This war between us, it ends now." Barry starts to continuously punch him, Eobard's screams causing me to lightly flinch, standing up quickly.
"Barr, you got to stop!" Joe says, "Barr, don't kill him, just bring him in!" Joe shouted, but Barry kept going.
I stepped up, trying to keep my voice calm, but it was shaky, "Barry." I clear my throat slightly, trying to better my voice in not being shaky, but it didn't work, "Don't be like him."
Barry controls himself, and stops after listening to Joe and I, landing another solid punch, before dropping him, breathing heavily and speaking, "Get the cell ready." He punches Eobard one last time.
A breath of relief leaves my lips, as I calm down, a hand running through my hair, everyone sitting back in relief also.

"Hey, he can't-?" Joe tries to show what he meant through his hands, not knowing how to put it into context.
Cisco answers for him, knowing exactly what he meant, "Phase his way out? No, he can't do that."
"It's the same cell we used to hold Dr. Wells last year." Caitlin explains.
Barry starts to walk away, catching all of our attention, as Joe speaks for us, "Barry, where you going?"
"I'm going down there." He directly says, as I watch him, seeing the anger in his eyes.
"No you're not." Harry speaks up, causing Barry to stop and turn, "The more he learns about you, the more you will alter the time line."
"He killed my mom." Barry points to the screen that showed Eobard in his cell. I was quick to shoot back, "Not yet, he hasn't." I say quietly, as Barry barely glances at me.

Harry follows up on what I said, "He's from the future, he hasn't done that yet. He doesn't even know you're The Flash, and you need to keep it that way."
Joe walks over, "You already said that his mother's gonna die no matter what we do."
Harry explains, "There's ramifications any time anybody messes with the time line, and it's impossible to predict what those ramifications are going to be."
Caitlin speaks, "Barry, you caught him and you stopped him from killing Dr. McGee. In my book, that's a win."
"This doesn't feel like a win." Barry admits, my heart ached for him as I stood there, not knowing what to do. Barry's phone vibrates as he looks at it, "I got to go." He simply says before walking down the hall.
Before I could stop myself, I was following after him, calling out to him, "Barry."
He stops and looks at me, a sigh leaving his mouth, turning so he was facing me, as he continues to slowly walk backwards, "Listen, I got to go, we can talk later-"
"No, we need to talk now." I speak, as he shakes his head, "I'm leaving-" He says, but I grab his hand and forcefully stop him from walking. He holds back a sigh then looks down at me.
"Even if you do kill him, Barry. It's not going to feel like a win or some sort of victory. It's not going to fill the hole inside of you from him doing what he did- from when he did it." I quietly say, as tears start to lightly form in my eyes, as I try to hold them back.
He stares at me, staying silent, like he was earlier when I told him not to be like Eobard.
"And it's definitely not going to help you get over your mother's death." I state, "Just- think about that, okay?" I whisper, before slowly backing away, letting go of his hand, turning my back towards him and walking back into the cortex, leaving him alone in the hall.

Digital Immigrant
This is the story of how James Allen Quick and Sarah Lynn Abernathy died. By 'died', I mean that their hearts stopped, their brains ceased sending electrical impulses, and all other physical functions terminated. Immediately after which, their bodies were placed into an industrial furnace, reduced to ash, and the ash was spread about in one of the last forest reserves in North America. As ash-spreading locations go, this ranked third. First and second places were, of course, a person’s favorite athletic team’s playing field and the sea. Or rather, I should say that this is how the story begins. You see, it’s what came after that is so interesting.
