"I'm sorry for snapping at you earlier." Barry apologizes to me, as he wraps his arms around me, pulling me into his chest, his face burying into my hair, as he held onto me tight, as we stood in the middle of my apartment; somewhere I haven't been in a while.
"It's okay, you were upset, I know you didn't mean for it to come out like that." I explain quietly, letting him hold onto me, as I peacefully stood there, taking in every second of it.
"How can you be so understanding?" He asks me, his grip tightening. "It's natural." Is all I say, as I wrap my arms around him and held him back.
"One of the many things I love about you." He kisses the top of my head, causing my cheeks to heat up slightly.
I still couldn't be I was actually dating Barry Allen.
I got the guy.
I look up at Barry, a small smile on my lips, "Are you okay now?" I ask quietly.
He gives me a small weak nod, a sigh leaving his lips, "My dad's here. I'm- doing better."
"Henry's here?" I ask, knowing this was Iris' doing. "Yeah- I kinda- want you to meet him again- you know- as. my girlfriend." Barry explains, holding me as close as possible as if I would run off after he said that.
"You want to reintroduce me as your girlfriend to your father?" I repeat what he was trying to tell me, as he nods slowly. "What if he doesn't-"
Barry's hand goes to my mouth and stops me from talking, "Nope- I don't wanna hear it."y eyebrows furrow as my lips fall into a pout into his hand.
"He already knows you- I've talked so much about you. There's no way he's not gonna like you as my girlfriend." Barry explains, before slowly moving his hand away from my mouth once he's said what he needed to say, allowing me to speak again. "Are you sure?" I ask.

"Positive." He smiles lightly, causing a sigh to leave my lips in defeat, "Fine."

I walk into the cortex with Cisco, as he calls out to Henry and Barry, "Hey, guys-"
Henry's eyes land on me as I put a strand of my curled hair behind my ear, my oversized sweaters' sleeves covering my hands, as I look at Cisco, who was ready to explain the plan we had come up with. "I think we've found him."
"Yeah?" Barry says, as he gets up, walking over with Henry. Cisco nods, "Grodd has to be in one of these three bell towers."
"The only reason we couldn't find him on any cameras underneath the city before is, 'cause he upgraded from a bachelor pad, to a pent house, like a baller." Cisco says.
"Okay, we know where he is, we still don't know how to get her." Barry exclaims, looking at the screen.
"We've got a plan for you." Cisco tells him, as Barry looks up from the screen and at us confused, "What's the plan?"
Cisco looks at me, "Take it away."
"Well- I thought, the Reverse Flash was practically Grodd's father, right?" I walk away from them and towards the hall that lead into the cortex, stopping right in front of it and spinning around to face them, my heeled boots clicking on the ground. "So, I had this absolutely insane idea- of sending the Reverse Flash in there. You know- talk to him- lil father, son bonding- until we get Caitlin out of there."
"Where- exactly are you getting act?" Barry's eyebrows furrow slightly, confused at what I was saying, and Henry stays silent and just watches.
"We use me." Harry's voice comes from the hall, revealing himself in the Reverse Flash's suit, his mask on. Before I could stop Barry, he had Harry pushed against the wall, his arm holding him against the wall by his neck.

Cisco jumps as we both run over, "Maybe should've mentioned that he isn't the real Reverse Flash, Zee!" Cisco lightly shouts at me due to Barry's reaction, as my hands go to Barry's forearms, Cisco standing by Harry, trying to get Barry to let go. "That's Harry! That's the other Wells!"
"I'm sorry-" I apologize, as Cisco speaks, "Let him go- Let him go."
Looking at Barry, standing on my tippy toes so I could be somewhat as tall as him but still shorter, as I quietly say, "Let go of him. That's Harry. Calm down." I say calmly, as I lightly pull him back, as he slowly lets go, letting me pull him away.
"I'm sorry-" Barry apologizes to Harry, as Cisco explains, "We found another suit in the Time Vault."
My hands stay on Barry's forearms as Henry finally speaks, "I thought he was dead."
Barry speaks, "He's dead- this is Harrison Wells from Earth two."
"Earth two?"
"I'll explain later." Barry's voice is raspy, as he lets out a huff, listening to Cisco, my hands letting go of his forearms.
"If we can get Harry to convince Grodd that he's Wells', that he's his father, maybe we can convince him to let Caitlin go." Cisco says, as I habitually wrap my arms around Barry's torso, holding onto him loosely, knowing he was tense from the idea I had. He puts a hand on my lower back as he listens to Cisco, and I feel Henry's stare on us.
Barry speaks quietly, "I'm not gonna be able to help, if anything goes wrong."
Harry nods, "That's a chance I'm willing to take."
-
My heels clicked down the hall as I stopped when I heard Barry and Henry talking. My breathing stopped when I realized that Henry was talking to him about his trail when he got accused of murdering his wife.
I felt as if it was wrong to listen in on there conversation, but it's like I couldn't move, and I had to listen to everything that was said. Tears stung in my eyes while I heard them talking, but I held them back as best as I could. The fact that Henry could relate to what Barry is going through right now, and can put it best into context, really hit home. It made me happy that Barry had such an amazing father.
I hear small sniffles and I realized that Barry was crying. A few movements were heard, and then I mentally ready myself as I walk in, acting as if I didn't hear anything, "Oh, hey guys- wow- are you crying?" I look at Barry, my heart breaking as I see him in pain, even though I already knew why he was crying.
They depart from their hug and Barry looks at me, giving me a look, that screamed 'I know you better than that' "How much did you hear?"
"Maybe- just a bit." I admit quietly, my foot tapping onto the ground. "Can I give you a hug now?" I hold my arms out.
Barry doesn't respond and just wraps his arms around me, holding me, as I do the same. Henry looks between us, then fixes his gaze on Barry, before speaking. "She's a keeper, Barry. Don't lose her." He smiles lightly before leaving the room.
I look up at Barry, "He knows."
Barry slightly nods, "I didn't tell him- but I know he knows. And that was his answer."
I tighten my grip.
He doesn't want Barry to lose me.
But the thing is, what if I were the one who lost him?

The Weather Vane
This is the first few chapter of my new book available on Amazon. The beginning is very light and fun, but more mature content comes later. From medieval fantasy to ultra high-tech to dinosaurs, The Weather Vane is a grippingly fast-paced adventure full of fun and excitement, literary flourish, and colorful characters. A group of ascendant masters find themselves in the afterlife and learn that they are newly recruited into the cosmic battle of good versus evil. Before they can join the fight, shipwreck strikes and they are lost in the ether. Stranded in a magical land beyond the reaches of the universe, The Weather Vane follows our crew of heroes as they try to piece things back together even while The Dark Lord’s forces march, maraud, and murder at every turn. Themes of darkness chase the overall levity of The Weather Vane which suffers not a lull as the climax begins near the beginning of the book and drives on through the greatly satisfying finish. The most epic of epics.
